Exactly my thoughts on it,they are criminals in uniform
They hate being caught out on their lack of knowledge of the law and that's it!
They are pure cowards. Listen how brave he sounds AFTER he gets him shackled.
Cop: "I'm going to stop you right there."
Same Cop 30 (30 seconds later): "We're not stopping you."
I've been through this as well when I was out taking long exposures of local landmarks at night - I was searched, searched again, detained, strip searched and released without my camera gear which took me weeks to get back. Seemingly, cameras do not work at night but burglars do. There is no arguing with these morons once you interact with them.
They are cowards. Call them what they are.

Martin Cameron freedom of press!
"You've got your face covered up"
Now they harass you if you don't have your face covered up.
FUBAR
It's disappointing, especially in Canada, where we were JUST about to consider a face covering ban for two reasons:
1. The burqa/niqab is oppressive against not just women, but rights and individuality. Quebec banned religious symbols in all government and public offices including the niqab and burqa and to note, crucifixes must be worn out of public view as well.
2. Antifa was abusing it to get away with committing violent criminal acts.
Now it's basically mandatory everywhere and in so doing, set back any chance at the rest of Canada following as long as the Covaids is a thing.
@@KaiserS0ZE I doubt they'd ban the burqa/niqab there, I saw a video of places in Canada recently, I was truly gobsmacked by the sheer amount of people wearing them, not just in the streets but public officials, many still with foreign accents which is even scarier.
Ofty there gunna hate COVID ahahah
Misuse of Drugs Act. That's absolutely disgusting. If he's not obliged to give his name then why in earth is it a crime to not give your name. This is crazy.
There is NO WAY he had reasonable grounds for a drug search.
Exactly, but he used the search powers all the same. I'm guessing that constable uses that as his excuse for all searches regardless of whether it's lawful or not.
Give Crimebodge a bell.
My understanding is that if he doesn’t have reasonable grounds for his suspicion then the subsequent search is illegal / assault / something.
That cop is a complete prick
Your exactly right but lol your gonna be hounded
He also threatened you with arrest for for the power to gain something, I.E. your identity. Which is abuse of power, not to mention illegal for a copper, on or off duty. It’s almost like they really don’t believe they are there for the public and paid for by the public.
Omg....Misuse of drugs?? Wtf?

Martin Cameron ok mate. And that really means something coming from you 😏
Doubt he pays tax!
He brings up the "public servant/we pay our taxes for you" bullshit while wasting their time. He uses absolutely illogical arguments like saying they need facts before they can be suspicious, there are convenient cuts all over this video, the guy's a fucking numpty, by wasting their time, he's wasting OUR tax money that would be put to far better use if they didn't have to stand in a car park talking to a dickhead in an edgy ninja get up.
Farina Marcini not really a lot of cops have degrees not that it matters anyway. Moan about police all you want but they are the first people you phone when your car has been stolen or when your house gets broken into.
Their own guidelines (Association of Chief Police Officers) clearly state that:
There are no powers prohibiting the taking of photographs, film
or digital images in a public place. Therefore members of the public
and press should not be prevented from doing so.
They also add....
•We need to cooperate with the media and amateur photographers. They
play a vital role as their images help us identify criminals.
•We must acknowledge that citizen journalism is a feature of
modern life and police officers are now photographed and filmed more
than ever.
•Unnecessarily restricting photography, whether for the
casual tourist or professional is unacceptable and it
undermines public confidence in the police service.
•Once an image has been recorded, the police have no power to delete or
confiscate it without a court order.

Everyone has a good reason to film police.
The ability to just stop and search someone under the misuse of drugs act, if he can actually use it in this way and that is perfectly within the confines of their powers it is quite worrying really. The thing is the police should realize you are filming them to get footage of their reactions, if they did not react or do anything you wouldn't have this footage to put on RUclips or heck if they just came up to you and asked who you are and why you're filming then walked off if you refused to answer. The thing is I do understand if they want to ask questions as to who someone is or why they are filming certain things but unless it is the law that you must answer those questions I do not think they should then go on to abuse vaguely worded laws to try to get their own way.
Sue their arse s off them they will learn sooner than they think lol😮
He's threating, im going to arrest him "THEN ARREST ME!"
If it is legal to film them, then on what basis can they arrest him? And if they do, is it false imprisonment?

Nearly every video is a cop with an authority complex who doesn't want to hear the word "No"

Brilliant bit of accountability footage. They really do bully people under their assumed authority. Never there when you need them, always there when you don't.
@elvis1231 think you missed the point of the video m8 the photographer was engaged in a lawful activity filming in public ,,
now the police can ask him what he is doing but unless he has committed a crime they have no reason to detain or question him ( even then you have the right to remain silent until you have legal representation when being questioned ) remember it's "we can and will use anything you say against you" , not anything you say will be used to help you ,, which is why you should be polite but never ever answer questions ..
the only crime in the video was the officer miss using the stop and search powers under the miss use of drugs act to unlawfully search, detain, harass, and assault (and if the photographer spent any time in jail also kidnap and false imprisonment) , when he knew full well he had no probable cause to do so,,,, a criminal act and gross misuse of power ,, so who is the real dick head criminal in the video ? here's a clue it aint the photographer

When are people (and police officers) gonna learn that it's not against the law to film in public, if you think he was just doing it to get a rise from them, if they ignore him he'll go away, job done! But, what he's doing is trying to highlight the lack of awareness of the law to the very people who are tasked with upholding those laws, don't you think that's worrying?

I’m kind of with you on it being ‘a little odd’ but if he’s not breaking the law, then by a process of elimination, what he’s doing must be lawful
You guys need to remember being a twat isn’t against the law. And exercising his rights isn’t either. Police are wasting their own time, he states many times he does not want to speak to you. Cops ride the system shown in this video. Drugs crimes for searches, lying about details, fixing complaints routes and governed/investigated by themselves. It’s so fixed, unlawfully fixed in reality. And he did not commit a crime, that is the only point anybody should be focusing on.
Under section 13 of the Criminal Procedure (Scotland) Act 1995, a constable is empowered to require the name, address, date of birth, place of birth (in as much detail as the constable considers necessary) and the nationality of anyone whom they suspect of committing or having committed an offence.

Where do people find the time to walk about filming police? Not someone that works full time that’s for sure.
Major difference from somones home and filming in public. The police dont live in that car park, they dont drive the police cars home, they dont have anything to hide so why try and stop someone from filming in public because its at their place of work, there is no law against someone going upto your house and taking pictures or filming, i know because i personally sat and watched it happen and watched the person use said footage in court, for the court to throw it out as it had zero evidence in it whatsoever, and guess what? The cunt who done it, never got charged or nothing because no crime had been committed, imagine that.
No complaint forms no sargents wtf.
Classic harassment. Breaking law by not giving his number n name
Police Scotland are worse than us cops, but the difference is Scottish cops do not have the same coverage as us cops , SCOTTISH COPS ,SCOTTISH LAW, - 1707 gives Scots a whole raft of laws that have never been revoked
