- This is a great little chainsaw with plenty of power to fell trees up to probably a foot or so in diameter at the base. The tree I knock down in this demo was 7.75 inches in diameter at the ground, and it cut through pretty quickly. The battery lasts a long time. For small cleanup work this is a great purchase. It does use a lot of oil, but that doesn't concern me, as long as it gets the job done. It's very light and convenient. It's also quiet. I'll be much more inspired to clear out my forest of underbrush with this little baby. I purchased for about $120 through Amazon. The extra battery and charger I bought was around $100 together. Much fun working with this one.
Thank you for posting. Your video was very helpful as I just received my new Black and Decker 40v 12" chainsaw and will be using it tomorrow on small trees on your new property.
A really great little chainsaw to meet almost all my DIY needs.
what's more, bought a replacement battery at a lowest price, finally made it more convenient for long time work.
You know how It cuts by cutting some yourself already. Glad you like it. I've been cutting some trees down around here also due to Matthew, dad's chainsaws, looks like you're saw would work well for limbs and small trees. Thanks for sharing...
Thanks for the review. Considering this one for myself.
Great review

I'm having the same problem... trying to unlock that thing to tighten the blade... thought RUclips as well but so far either nobody has explained it or they have the same problem

Twist/Turn that black locking knob counterclockwise about one whole turn to loosen it so that you can then tighten (clockwise turn) your chain tensioning knob (orange). This allows one to tighten the chainsaw on the blade. Then retighten the black knob by turning it clockwise. Or you call B&D at 1-800-544-6986.
Won't budge. Is a tool needed?
I found a video that explains how to tension the bar and chain. Here's a link!

Cutting down a tree properly takes 3 cuts. DO NOT STRAIGHT CUT TREES! 🤦🏻♂️
