Wonderful! Beautiful! Talk about a score in finding this video first try. I'm writing sci-fi, and had trouble figuring out how to fit fruit trees into various space craft. My biggest issue was space, but I've worked out a lot of the kinks; and these were the biggest necessary trees I needed to figure out. I wanna point out one thing though... You made no mention of root depth/width. It's not just my sci-fi; some people live on rocky terrain. How deep does the soil have to be. My current googling tells me a minimum of about 3' for a dwarf, and up to 10' for a full. Given how long it takes to make soil in a space craft, depth is a serious issue. Otherwise, this video answered most questions I had. Thank you.
Best information I could find! Thank you! Could you possibly answer a couple of questions for me please?! So obviously you get a smaller harvest of dwarf trees cos there overall size is smaller not because dwarf trees have less crop?! Is it possible you get standard fruit trees and just prune them to a manageable dwarf height? Or would you recommend just to get dwarfs. Many thanks!
Dwarf trees will provide full size fruit and should provide a third to a half of what a standard tree produces. We have some of every size only because we wanted a supply of fruit within a couple years and we still wanted some big standard trees. Pruning full size trees is a lot of work. Especially to bring it to dwarf size and not really what’s best for the tree. I would look at your needs and get trees that will fill those needs.
Something I always wondered was when they say it will grow x years or produce in x years do they mean economical or it will die/stop producing then. They say something like 10 or 12 years for peaches but then you see people talking about how their peach trees are still producing more than they can eat 38 years down the line. People say apples and pears go 10-100 years which is a pretty big range. Not only that but every websites says different information.
I think it Varies depending on a lot of factors. Location. Disease. Soil quality. Pesticides. Fertilizer. Ect. No one can tell exactly how long a tree will produce. But if it has everything it needs to flourish it should live a long time.
Hello I really liked your video. I was eagerly waiting to learn about the sizes of the trees. Example you said a dwarf tree but how big that would grow in 7 to 8 years?!
We have dwarf apple trees and they are well over 20 they are 30 plus years old and still producing lots of apples
stop that lying.

Fabulous information! Nobody else even came close.
Thank you and thanks for watching
Thanks so much!
That was very helpful! Thanks...
Thank you for watching. Glad you could get something from it.
Thanks!
Does harsh pruning and keeping it 5 feet keep roots small?

Great information, thank you.
Do fruit tree cuttings grow to full size trees just as the ones that are planted by seeds?
Yes. They are essentially a clone of the tree the cutting comes from.

When you say they live for 20 years, will the tree die after that or will it just stop producing fruit?

They could be anywhere between 8-15 ft tall. And about 8-10 feet wide. Thank you for watching. Glad you enjoyed it.
I got one full size Rio red grapefruit tree and it says it will grow to 15-20ft. It labeled as standard tree. Is it a full size tree or semi drawer?
Does growing a dwaft tree in a pot restrict it in any way?
It will restrict root growth.
Is that 30 feet from base to base for standard trees?
Full size apple trees average between 25 and 30 feet in width. So I would probably go 35 to be safe.
Bro only like 1% of the world uses feet. Everyone else uses meters 🤦🏽♂️
Did u fjd 😊😅
