love how their playing the same TTT map they played years ago, and coming to the exact same conclusion: that getting the jaffa win is wayyy too easy.
I love that the mapmaker even got the one light in the pink flight ring that’s the wrong shade. That’s the one detail of the original Jaffa Factory that I always remember.
Admin Zylus might just be one of the funnier bits we've had in a while. He doesn't play, he just sits in the call and causes chaos. For someone as talkative as he is, it's amazing how much control he has to *_not_* talk and just let things play out while he does things to them.
Do we know why zylus was playing admin?
@@eleaphante He's been promoted to Content Manager (I think that's the name of his position, at least).
Ben stepped back from the role, Zylus took over. Honestly considering how long Ben has been doing admin stuff for the main channel series, in addition to participating in it as well, I'm glad he's getting a chance to ease back now.
Zylus was the one who co-ordinated the new Gone in 60 Minutes events, so he's definitely making good moves in the role.
The organizational change was so Ben can put more work into Games Night.
@@eleaphantethey probably just had more than enough players for the recording, but he still wants to be there to oversee.
New role idea, The Forever Drunk. If they do not sober up before the timer runs out, they start making people near them drunk. If every living character is drunk, it's a party win!
I guess you could just replace the communists, change the book to a bottle and add the "All rise for Datlof" song

As an addon to that: The Forever Drunk makes other people drunk. But those other drunks are regular drunks... which can sober up. It's a race to get everyone drunk, otherwise they'll start sobering up into random roles (or maybe, just maybe, their original roles).

The portal doorways at 8:49 is such a throwback... makes me think of Duncan's Hexxit modpack. Late 2012 to early 2013 was when I discovered the Yogs, so I have a real fondness for that series as one of the first I could follow as it released!

As fond as I am of the original Jaffa Factory series, Duncan was spot on when he said it looks a lot worse than remembered. Just goes to show the production effort of the new one
Barry doing a lot of the heavy lifting in that regard. You can genuinely see the passion he has for the 2nd series as he, like all of us, grew up with the original.

11:50 "Say jump while you jump" is a really clever trick for the new roles! It harkens back to your classic "Say innocent backwards".
Going to deposit that the hive-mind role needs a buff. Its biggest gimmick is also its crippling flaw, that being health sharing. Problem is, it has no way to get more health and it puts the player at an increased risk if killing anyone, except until the end. A simple fix would be to give +100 health to the life point pool for each subsequent kill. This makes it more formidable and would encourage a more active strategy around taking it out before it gets too strong.
Its amazing how far modded minecraft has come from OG Factory's Tekkit days, to Season 2 where you have working trains, plains, airships, and monorails. Everything also looks so much better.
and a lot of people still somehow think it's a downgrade...
to be fair they had a monorail and planes in shadow of israphel.
@Kristal-x3u Well the original Jaffa Factory and the preceding Duncan's Tower and Tekkit series servers were so good because they were all playing on the same world and we had occasional updates about the other people and every series was its own perspective. The whole red matter incident with Dirt Co. wouldn't have been possible on a server where they were all just working in the same base to the same goals. Duncan's nuclear reactor getting overloaded (while scripted) was still super funny to watch. That's why the new Jaffa Factory isn't quite as good - there just isn't anyone else in the world making it feel as alive.

Partially, Jaffa Factory 1 was happening when Minecraft was just absurdly popular on RUclips. Popular enough for multiple concurrent series running.
I love the new series but I can also see that there's not enough views in it to run a bunch of series parellel.

I wasn’t sure because they didn’t explore in this vid as much as the other, and I do t remember it well, so I didn’t want to assume it was the same if it was like a remake/update to the older map.

I can't believe how much they've pre-recorded ahead of time with Jaffa factory...
Assuming this TTT ep was recorded at least a fortnight ago, Dunc said they'd recorded ep 50 of JF which means they've got like a 10 ep buffer
So kinda makes sense then again 🤷
Duncan was exaggerating a bit. They were making references to this session in the newest episode, which is 46, so at this point only 45 episodes are recorded

@@phantomfire5013 do you think that maybe they planned ahead to specifically release the two videos on the same day? so maybe this one got skipped forward or held back in the TTT release schedule until episode 46 of JF2 came out?
@@Kataclysm113 yeah I was thinking the same. Recorded at the same time but probably still quite a buffer, especially seeing as we know they record TTT in advance so they've always got a buffer. So likely a couple of episodes ahead still

I also really have found it funny how Zylus is in the call but not playing (I wonder why that is?) and how he just appears and talks like some god. LOL
It's zylus' job to run these sessions so he will be there for most of them. If enough people make the session he isn't needed to play.

I was a huge fan of Flux buddies and Moonquest, I think they just barely surpass the jaffa factory. I still go back and rewatch those series every once in a blue moon.

Colorblind people can still tell most greys apart and name them, especially if there are only limited possibilities.
iirc Rythian is red/green color blind. I don't know how much he can distinguish between the two.

I DID watch Duncan's Park, and would love to see it revived with more yogscast members joining in. I think that's why it didn't do well, there wasn't any banter.

They did this already, with boba. And delivered the jaffa to the truck. I get playing the map again but genuinely forgetting everything from the first time is a damning indictment of their brain power.
