Isn't it amazing what a cut and buff will do for a paint job? It became very clear very early that Mr. Ed knows what he is doing in regard to paint jobs. He waited a number of weeks to allow the paint to fully cure before tackling the orange peel. My dad was a body man who painted cars nearly every day for customers of the body shop. Those paint jobs had to be in and out as quickly as possible...so the paint was only given a couple days to cure before cutting and buffing were done. But on the show cars that Dad painted....and he did a lot of show cars and high end restorations over the course of his career....he would let the paint cure for a couple months before color sanding and buffing. I am so glad that Mr. Ed stepped up and offered his assistance and expert knowledge in painting and finishing Carl's stunning Neptune Green.

1:00 If you only drive in the rain for the rest of your life no one can see the orange peel or dust nibs and you don't have to do any -sanding- _polishing._
1:50 Did they find it in that color or did he secretly save some of the paint from your car for the miniature?
The first time I color sanded a car I felt the same way. It sure feels weird, but fascinating too.
