His whistle notes have a distinct rasp! He is truly impressive. 5:58 I knew that "I Want To Know What Love Is" run from Mariah would be challenging for him. It's hard to maintain the breath needed for that extended one whilst still being incredibly precise & still have excellent intonation. Morisette is probably the closest but she even diverted from doing the whole run. It's better to cut it short or do your own thing than attempt it and take the run to a ditch.
Can't count how many times I've watched Morissette singing that song, she killed it. Katrina is underrated tho. But we all know that it's Mariah's register so.

Mori starts the whistle run but midway she changes it to something easier, which is understandable because the riff that Mariah did is quite difficult in its entirety.
Yeah i notices the note was clearly edited and note made in 1 take. But tbh that's one of Mariah's hardest whistles, i have only one time been able to do the whistle without going flat on some notes. So I'm still impressed be him. He has an amazing voice

When it comes to the whistle register, it’s equal game for both sexes as long as youndo it properly & safely. The said “register” is forcing air through taut & constricted vocal folds so a man’s natural vocal register will not be limiting the sound produced.

Dude, nobody is saying that he can't whistle. don't distort what i said. he can clearly whistle. we are not deaf. we are saying that in that particulaly whistle (i wanna know what love is) it's clearly an edited whistle. it sounds robotic. maybe its his whistle, but he could have recorded one octave lower and pitched up. (that's what i think he did)

5:58 I knew that "I Want To Know What Love Is" run from Mariah would be challenging for him. It's hard to maintain the breath needed for that extended one whilst still being incredibly precise & still have excellent intonation.
Morisette is probably the closest but she even diverted from doing the whole run. It's better to cut it short or do your own thing than attempt it and take the run to a ditch.

Mori starts the whistle run but midway she changes it to something easier, which is understandable because the riff that Mariah did is quite difficult in its entirety.
Yeah i notices the note was clearly edited and note made in 1 take. But tbh that's one of Mariah's hardest whistles, i have only one time been able to do the whistle without going flat on some notes. So I'm still impressed be him. He has an amazing voice
