This installment of Pokémon is my favorite, I love gen 5.2. This is the reason why, you can fight old trainers and champions. Why can’t they add something like this to older games (granted battle tree had some older trainers).

I think there's different laws between regions.
Like, somebody wanted in Kanto probably wouldn't in Unova.
I really like how all of the Gym Leaders in the PWT stepped up their game. I actually consider each of them a threat now. (And incidentally, the PWT is part of the reason why Black and White 2 is my favorite Pokémon game.)
It's nice to see the gym leaders with the evolved forms of their main pokémon, but that made Johto's PWT really hard ;-;
Rip Brock still using an Onix
If Pokemon Origin I anything to go by, they leaders' PKMN strength depend on how strong the opposing trainer is, which is why Brock is really super string but went easy on you because you are a noob trainer.

@@Linkaro2 my ideal Pokémon game would be that each gym leader has a roster of Pokémon dependant on how many badges you have when they are challenged
Plus a post game version of their team with elite four difficulty

Sigh. Nostalgia. My parents took away my DS when I was younger because of some crap reason. It had Pokémon White 2 in there. Since then, they have forgotten where they put my DS. I made it up when I played Pokémon X and Alpha Sapphire. But it’s just not the same as Gen 5

Here’s an interesting idea, what if you challenged all the other Gym leaders in the PWT with Pokémon that are from the same region as they are?

Dbz Dbz pretty much. But not just specifically Brock’s Onix. You’d use Gen. 1 Pokemon against Brock and all the other Kanto Gym Leaders in the PWT Kanto tournament (even if they’re using Pokémon that are not from Gen. 1).
I’ve done it before several times, and I’ve had no problems with it. So it’s not impossible to do.

Not to mention this guy had abandoned his own son for the sake of his criminal organization and took hostages on Silph Co. back in Kanto. Let's invite him!"
