I was not surprised they killed her, they are one of the most powerful cartels in Mexico. Hell, I'm even scared of saying the name because I felt like they're watching me. It's unfortunate that she died very young, I hope one day Mexico have fewer cartels. It's honestly getting worse over there.
11:55 Some of my grandpa's relatives went missing a few years ago, him and another one of his relatives tried to look for them but the cops straight up told them to stop looking or else I don't know much. The cops in mexico suck, back when my dad lived in mexico there was a time where the cops tried to arrest him for no reason until my dad's friends paid the cops money to let him go, its crazy. BTW, not all of mexico is dangerous, just some parts of it. If you are super curious, I recommend looking into another case about the cartle: The Three Deaths of Marisela Escobedo! It made me cry, lmao. ❤👍
@g0ry_ghxst If my dad hadn't moved to the USA when he was like 18, he most likely would have been killed or arrested, he wasn't the best person back in Mexico, but he's the most nicest and caring person now.❤🌮
Yooo same thing happened to my brother in law where his dad in Honduras had to pay money to police for them to give him his truck back. It’s super dangerous out there
A big part is not only the bribes but also the fear. Here in mexico there's the rumour Wich is most likely fact that all the officers that arrested the son of el chapo are currently dead, I dunno if it's confirmed or not but I know there were 29 dead and 35 injured in the arrest
She doin the governments work, like even though she died she definitely made an impact and did what she needed to do, if no one was gonna help her than she had to do it herself W her
I'm mexican and i'm actually from the state of Tamaulipas, since COVID things calmed down a bit but it's still really dangerous, we don't go out that late at night and also we know where are the streets that are usually dangerous (where the gunshots usually start 😅) so we try not to go near those streets or areas on any time of the day. Also as for the video they upload at 5:50 they usually do it on Twitter or they share it via Whatsapp and start spreading the video or Facebook. Not all Mexico is dangerous, touristic parts like Cancun or Mexico City are usually safe, but Tamaulipas and other states in the north are dangerous because we have the international bridge with the US. And of course we dont drive on roads late at night either because in some of them the vigilants(?? are narcos (to steal your vehicle or money, or maybe because they are looking for someone in specific to krill) Sorry if i didn't explain myself correctly, english is hard 💀
My family is from Valle Hermoso, and we stick by the same rules; no driving late at night and anytime we do drive down we don't take our nicer cars :,)) I agree crime has gone down a bit (at least when we visit) but we still stick to being safe when we travel there
Hello, Mexican here! 4:23 yes, even though almost in all states there are cartel activities, not all of them are war zones. Some cartels don’t really mess with civilians since their objectives do not involve us. It’s all about knowing which zones are of interest as to not go there for now, and to have a friend or someone tell you which neighborhoods to avoid. For example, Aguascalientes is pretty chill (though there’s not that much to see), but it is considered one of the safest states.
Yeah most masacres victims end up being members of other Cartels and people associated with them- that's something I noticed When Hidalgo became a warzone for good 2 years between the Sinaloa Cartel and Reina del Sur
@@alexusimaky7959 same. I’ve lived in the same state since childhood and when the Zetas came, we had rough years with people hanging from bridges and bodies being thrown into freeways, but then another cartel came and all that stopped. It’s really a matter of who is in charge of where u live to know if they’ll mess with civilians or not. Zetas make money off of making civilians pay “rent” or “pagar piso” so they don’t mess with you, while others are more of taxing clubs and bars so they get drug rights. One is much preferred than the other but we can’t really pick who is in charge of us… so yeah. Don’t fear coming to Mexico, just have a friend that know their city/state and you’ll have a blast.
i live in nuevo laredo! the only year where violence with los zetaz got really bad was in 2010, with so many kidnappings and murders occurring. right now, it's not as bad as it used to be but it's still terrifying. shootings are a common thing here where i live, unfortunately. the only people here willing to help would be the military, never the police. the police are with the "bads".
I went to Mexico for spring break and got back last week and I could say right now it’s not to bad but when you’re driving around in the streets most of the time you’ll see trucks with soldiers with a machine gun on the truck and they each carry a gun too. There are also a lot of checkpoints ig you can call them where soldiers set up and just take a look you don’t have to stop or anything but they will look as you pass over the speed bump. I’ve also seen some people say some cartels dress up as soldiers so you have to pay attention and be careful if you end up getting pulled over
If you ever find yourself in the territory of any cartel. This is what you were going to do. You're not going to be driving a nice car. Find an old car and drive that instead. You're not going to wear anything flashy or expensive. If you have anything valuable or expensive this awesome include your passport. Find a place to hide it or you can't see it. And for if any reason you have to get out of your car. You are not going to speak any other language besides Spanish. It doesn't matter who you're with you are going to only speak Spanish. If it can be helped don't go anywhere without someone with you. Try to do whatever the hell you need to do as fast as possible but don't come off as rude. And If you see something sketchy going on. You are going to walk away. You can never be 100% safe. But at least these are some things you can do to keep yourself safe. Stay safe. (Love your video by the way)
Haven't been to Mexico since 2006 and never encountered any cartel activity (Most likely cause my family lived in a rural village up in the canyons). A few of my coworkers had lost loved ones from cartel violence
As soon as I heard mexican cartel i immediately saod out loud "oh no. Lady let it go" I havent really been close to where they atack, just regular mugging and ocacional car accident or explosion over where I live but I have seen how much these guys are capable of and it honestly scares me. May she and her daughter rest in peace
4:24 As someone who's extended family is into that shit, I've been warned multiple times to not go. ESPECIALLY as a single Gringa-looking woman. (And yet my sister still wants to go and 'find' her heritage😑) Not only that, but these cartels deal with more than just drugs. (Human trafficking is also a big thing there)
I remember a year later after 2015, when me and my mom left Mexico, apparently our village was a target for giant "cleansing" from the "Reina Del Sur" cartel- the massacre was carried out by the Sinaloa Cartels "New generation".... It was bad, we found out some many people close to us were apart of the previous cartel controliling the village, although according to my uncle, things have calmed down and because of the president apparently the cartel has been in active in the village
4:24 where my family goes for spring break in Mexico isn’t really that dangerous or anything like that but, during spring break cartel’s seem to take it down bc of tourism and shi. So basically spring break is really the most safest time to go over there. Another thing is the way your vehicle looks. For example if you go on spring break Ina white truck pr any truck you won’t be taken out but you will have a slightly bigger chance of such thing happening rather than a small car. when it’s not spring break tho, you go out Ina truck then your seen as a threat. Depending on where you are you’ll probably just be a big target. so basically it’s better to go in a car rather than a truck to travel to MX.
THEY KILLED HER ON MOTHERS DAY!! WTF. i need to know what happened, did they get put away? was the justice she put her life on finally served?! omg that's so sad
I actually new someone personally (my moms coworkers son) who was kidnapped and held for ransom in the mountains in Mexico. They managed to get him out bc his dad, my mom’s coworker, had some connections to uhh… friends of his let’s say who managed to track him down and help him get out. The cops were actually in on his sons kidnapping entirely (they were part of the same gang that kidnapped him while technically being active law enforcement officers) and when they got him back they both fled to the US to where we are. It’s crazy because when I heard of this we had been friends for years but the kidnapping itself had happened not even a year prior on his trip back home to see his mom in Mexico. I also know one of my current coworkers who went on a family trip to Mexico (they’re white) for just a regular cutesy trip but ended up having to cut it short because halfway through they were actually robbed. I’m talking their rental car, suitcases, all of that was robbed in less than 30 minutes flat. Apparently they were on their way to their Airbnb or hotel or whatever and they were basically pit maneuvered by 2 trucks filled with gang members that dragged them out of their car and held them at gunpoint and everything. They almost took her (my coworker) and her sister for ransom but apparently the gang members were on the run or something and needed a new car fast and just needed up taking the car with almost all of their stuff and left them on the side of the road. They managed to get a taxi back and like 2 of her family members still had their phones so they were able to call to freeze their cards and get a flight back but that shit is no joke. Mexico has been bad for a while but it’s getting so much worse and now there’s an entire market for kidnapping tourists and holding them for either ransom or forcing them into some sort of labor (ie sex work, slavery, etc) and it’s awful. It’s why there’s so many of us fleeing to the US and why they’ll much rather take the shit here than go back.
I think about all the times I crossed paths with someone from a cartel, normally they dress like regular people and act nice to everyone, but this is why when going to Mexico you should be nice to everyone and not start problems
Kenji I would definitely encourage you to watch a video about the situation in Mexico, it’s really bad. The people that go for spring break go to an area that made for tourists, there’s no known violence there. It’s so bad to the point that usually the cartel support a candidate for president in Mexico but in reality the guy is bought and just a figure head.
