@@mollydavis7644 If the only raison d'etre of their character - the only focus - was on their "straightness" it wouldn't take much to play the role. The acting comes in when the whole character is believable... I didn't find the character rounded at all. (No reflection or criticism of the actress playing the role) It was the dialogue that was so one-dimensional ... it did not serve to bring the character to life other than with that one single aspect - she was gay. Not, for me, up to the standard that I found with other characters in the series.
Some constructive criticism- please work on your interview skills! React to her answers, give feedback or comments - don’t just flatly read the questions and force your guest to do all the work in making it engaging. Maybe this was just a fluke since it’s the first video of yours I’ve watched, but after seeing this I’m not inclined to watch more to find out.
I absolutely love Ted Lasso so felt perhaps it was only me that didn't like the Keeley Jack story line. Reassuring to see others here feel the same. (No disrespect to the actresses who played the parts. And no, I won't call them actORS because they are female and should be proud to be so!) It was just so nonsensical that after the gorgeous Jamie and then the even more gorgeous Roy - and her totally raunchy totally feminine character Keeley would suddenly be attracted to someone of the same sex. It's as if the writers realised they weren't being "woke" enough. They'd ticked the boxes for racism and for homosexuals, but hadn't had any lesbians. And as there were only two main women characters, it had to be either Rebecca or Keeley. Hence - break up with Roy ... introduce lesbian woman to have a thing with. Tick. Woke job done. Let's hope the writers can now get on with the non-woke story - and get Roy and Keeley back together by the end of the series. (Though at this point, I'd be happy if she reconciled with Jamie instead!!!)
@@jonh901271 I've watched the whole series three times (that section at least a dozen. love it) - and if you read my letter again you would see I was being curious and ironically it seems to me that your response to me was judgmental. Question for you if you are so curious - Who actually said "be curious not judgmental"? If, unlike me, you were never curious you will still believe it was Walt Whitman - but I WAS curious - checked it out when I first heard it ... so I know differently.
Zava's presence made sense for the long arc of the team. I found Zava entertaining. Shandy was an absolute waste and terrible decision. Jack seemed very random and pointless, didn't really help Keely's character arc. Keely was already able to stand on her own to feet and defend herself.
@@sw9618 Zava lasted as many episodes as Shandy.....they turned up, couldnt think what to do with them, then got rid...I hope they do the same with Jack.,😁
Great performance as Jack. 👏👏👏👏
She and Juno have mad chemistry.
Jodi is an amazing actress
As she is gay herself, where does the acting come in?
@@PamelaProPeace so straight actors playing straight characters aren’t acting?

OMG, you missed the point of Ted Lasso. Go back to season one and watch the darts scene again. Does "Be curious, not judgmental" ring a bell?

What a shame., another unlikeable new cast member that we dont like, Jack, Shandy and Zava......
Jack was worst IMHO
