- I was getting tired of chasing Jackson around the track trying to cool the car down with a spray bottle, so before he headed out for HotPit round 3 we took the time to make a much needed upgrade to the cooling system.

With the smaller fans, works nice to shroud them for max surface pull, and then scoop route the exit air out the top of the hood. I'm spoiled tho, and I realize it could be a hassle on a race car that is all but going to bang something.
The small fans were shrouded for full surface area coverage. It was mostly the lower CFM of the fans on top of the radiator design. The radiator design is based off of the stock downward flow vs the new dual pass side to side flow. Therefore, the water spends more time in the radiator getting cooled down.
@@chrisforsbergracing Noice. I had to made a "chute" style shroud since I have a transverse layout... and the air hammering into the engine at speed was not allowing proper heat evac. Was just a thought!
The mishimoto radiator had the inlet and outlet on the same side of the core effective using about 10-20% of the fins for cooling you could have moved the bottom mount to the other end of the radiator making a cross flow lay out drastically improved a customers car I built, looks like the new one is going to be a 2 pass set up which will definitely utilize the full core and I’m sure keep the car cool tho most of the 2 pass set ups we have had don’t do as good as a job as cross flow single for whatever reason the 2 passes do work well enough especially in a competition situation only needing 2 laps before you can at least get some water sprayed on it

Yeah the 240 needs a little more juice for ProAm comps. This car is perfect for bashing with the buddies though!
