i think geng vs damwon will go down in history as one of the best bo5, showmaker just refused to lose, and canyon with the 3-man knockup was insane, also the last teamfight of game 5 was probably the most intense 5v5 ive ever seen, just a masterpiece
I'm so upset man. I'm not even a damwon fan but showmaker deserved to win that series more than anything else. Deokdam felt like such a weakpoint. Canyon played out of his mind but missed a perfect smite later on in the game, the fatigue of the series catching up to him. Ruler was defining factor to their victory but my god did I want to see showmaker win.
What made this world's the best is the amount of unique champion picks we saw. There was no boring team comp meta that we would see every game like previous Worlds
For me a worlds meta where toplaners could be Jayce, Rumble, Kennen, Riven, Heca, Rengar and supports are melee engage (Thresh, Leona, Nautilus, Braum or even Blitz), with the junglers being bruiser/tank or hard engage, those are the most fun. It gives the star players in roles that potentially output the most dmg or have the most agency for miracle plays the chance to shock the world.
When you have the best players in the world of corse you will see the best champions in the meta. Still this worlds had the most different champions picked ever.
Zeka's Akali this worlds was insane. he actually beat edg single handedly with that akali pick. then again against GenG game 5. (one of the clips here)

Damwon and T1 had THE best plays Top 3 (in no particular order): - triple nevermove (11:27) - triple kayn knockup into quadra scatter the weak (6:59) - duo poppy yone double outplays (10:05) i'm sad we didnt get to see Keria's lvl 3 handshake onto karma, I legit thought that deserved to be in top 20, hell top 10.

for me the team of world 22 is : in the toplane i think no one can judge that's 369 is a monster , he carried alot of games in lpl and words if just have a better players around him he will win every titles in league of legends this season . so in the toplane jdg 369 i think this season in the jgllane we have a lot of talented players oner , pyosik , peanut , canyon , jeijei , kanavi . its hard to pick one but in my opinio we should give the jgl of dk some respect for all plays in worlds and lck this season canyon for me is a monster and the duo with showmaker is just insane . so in the jgl DK Canyon in the midlane with any doubt DRX zeka this man outplayed scout , chovy ... and in the grand finals he plays so clean vs the unkillable demon king faker and in my opinion he makes opportunity to his teammate to win the finale and he carried DRX on every single game . so with any doubt DRX Zeka is the player of the tournament in the adc we have 3 names ruler, gumayushi and deft . i think deft should be here bc he is the winner of worlds 22 but his playstyle is too safe and he isn't like GNG ruller and T1 gumayushi he cant carry or make plays like them i nominated him just bc he win . for me i pick T1 gumayushi bc he reach final in the support we have 2 names beryl and keria , those 2 player are insane in this lane they dominated every game on map control i think keria is better early game maybe bc of gumayushi but beryl is monster in mid late game he is with any doubt the best support last 3 years and maybe of all time . 3 finalns on a row for DRX BERYL 20 21 22 JUST INSANE HONORABLE MENTION : T1 zeus & DRX kingen THX FOR READING
