Gday Lanky. Thanks for recording this campaign. Just wrapped up BD's excellent Iron Flag pt1 and moving onto this campaign where I can start shooting things. Really looking forward to the journey here.
The Steep Hill thing in Lincoln is legitimate. It’s a mission to get up, and there’s a ton of RAF bases nearby such as Scampton, Waddington and Cranwell, where the officer training college is.
just spent about 30 min ducking around with the standard ATC and not the ATC in the "other" section. Wasn't very clear that it had to be through the F10 other menu. I kept getting a "mission failed message" upon takeoff. In any case this campaign looks really good! Very mil simish. I will definitely give this campaign a watch as this is probably the first of many "mission failed" errors i will make XD.
Ah bugger, yeah all comms are thru f10 for this one. If havent already check out the documents in campaign folder, gives you a full rundown of mission setups. Good luck!
Excellent. I've had the 'hog for a few years, but I never bothered to learn it. Started last night, so things like adding way points, particularly UTM waypoints, is not something I've come across before. Yeah, I know. RTFM. But I'm reading plenty of FM just to get airborne and fire weapons, learning how to enter waypoints was a little out of the blue, so - cheers, mate!
Thanks, glad it helped :) Yes I'm basically just going through my thought process out loud with tasking/procedures in missions. Won't always be the most accurate to follow haha
Hey lanky, just wanted to thank you for this walkthrough. I’ve been flying the a102 for about 2 months, PF is my first campaign and this video is immensely important to me. Cheers mate!
good flying! How can you keep track of all these modules. Still learning the A-10 and its a bit overload in the brain with all the tms up long, dms left short, cms right, china hat aft, boat switch, soi, spi, mark points 😁😆 Anyway love this module and looking forward watching you fly it.
Haha no idea with my memory! Takes a little while to adjust back, the a10 has been my most used over yrs so bit of advantage there. You'll prob hear me saying this button or that button tho cos trying remember names of them all. I find once you do a full campaign by end of it most will stick & be familiar coming back. Its the planes I've only done few flights with learning I struggle most. Thanks for watching :)
Nice video! I tried this mission and failed a couple of times so it was good to watch you play. I think u were supposed to use a GPU-12 on that one target! Fun to watch…
Ah nuts, might have actually hit it if was laser guided haha. Need to pay attention, it's going to be a challenging one with comms for me. Thanks for watching :)
Hi Lanky... I loved this, not being a jet fan, I've been following your warbird campaigns so far. I found this totally absorbing. Will watch rest of series. My late dad worked on A10s at RAF Kemble, after a stint with the Red Arrows (Hawks), he loved them... so do I methinks.
Thanks, atho I usually try avoid touching the rudder at all costs running in, especially my old set. Not much finite control & jumps around a lot. Best case I try get the nose just under target & walk rounds up
That's a shame. Check back in after the next beta update maybe, generally they are pretty good updating when broken. Or jump onto the his forum page to note it
Hi, yes this campaign is a bit different. You have to use the f10 menu option to select ground comms & not the usually ATC menu. Once before startup, once when ready to taxi & once more before entering the runway for clearance. You should get a reply each time. Missing any will result in failure. Hope that helps
As much as I enjoy your videos....as much as I am unable to enjoy this campaign :( as a Middle Eastern these propaganda brings so much frustration :( However, I understand you're just playing as a game...forgive my depressed mood :S
@@AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH-y5f Propaganda part is that a US army would give a shite about people freedom in any given country...let alone the middle east.....pilot POV?......yeah sure, like any jarhead. P.S "Jarhead" was an excellent movie about that.
@@Phoenix_VR Not every middle eastern war game is a propaganda. If you actually play the campaign there are pilots who doubt the necessity of the war. However this is a game not propaganda. Try loosening up a bit mate.

So is me running up it drunk :)
@@groundpoundersimulations8317 you’d have to be drunk to want to run up it, tbf 🤣

@@lankypilot778 Ya i read through it! Really great stuff! Gives the campaign a really realistic feel to it. It has a good premise for the war as well.

That near run-in with the truck at the beginning reminds me of your tragic end at the end of the P-47 campaign. :)
At least I saw this one coming 😂
thanks for the video.it has helped me a lot to learn this module
Thanks for watching, I'm not a huge expert with it but glad helped out.

Good video, PATIENCE is the key .

My late dad worked on A10s at RAF Kemble, after a stint with the Red Arrows (Hawks), he loved them... so do I methinks.
Try using the rudder to “walk” the rounds on target… it can be more effective in closely spaced targets than using roll. Nice vid!
Thanks, atho I usually try avoid touching the rudder at all costs running in, especially my old set. Not much finite control & jumps around a lot. Best case I try get the nose just under target & walk rounds up
I can’t even get in the air I keep violating something and they ground me as soon as I take off
I've heard other players complain about the A-10 nose popping up on landing like yours did.
Interesting, will have to keep eye on it. Thanks
Love your videos in the Mossie (Mozzy?) Lovely plane... but the war will be over before you take off... 😂
Both sides have an agreement to hold the war till I'm ready with my startup. It's the first thing negotiated haha
This virtually unplayable now. The radio codes and call signs are different from the PDF. Causes mission failure.
That's a shame. Check back in after the next beta update maybe, generally they are pretty good updating when broken. Or jump onto the his forum page to note it
@@lankypilot778 actually I just made a newbie mistake. I wasn't using f10 😂. It's works.

I hope I can watch this video and see what ATC violation I am doing . The last 4 times as soon as I took off it said you failed

I don't see how this is propaganda. This is simply a pilots pov in a fictional war with Iran.
