The Dublin accent is quite unique in the Republic. There are 2 actually. Theres a working class one (with a lot of "dya know wat I meaan" and work becomes "woke"). Then theres the Ross O'Carroll Kelly type middle class southside accent with a lot of "loike you know".

Those women will be raising children who will be hearing nothing else for their formative years. It started as a S. Dublin thing but now it's nationwide. My friends were shocked that my kids call me 'ma', it wasn't intentional, that's how I grew up saying it... But it has now become 'common'.
