Taming a giga on episode 15 what a legend. Also you should tame a Yutyrannus (Fluffy Rex) for the Brood Mother boss fight as they give a courage roar buff, that makes your dino's do more damage and take less damage.

@@R3D_Thumbs it's on x4, so max level is 120. His giga is 1 spawn-level lower than max level. if it were on the lowest difficulty setting (dinos from 1-30) his giga would be a 29. The game early access launched with max wild level 90, then went up to 120, then 150, then tek dinos & wyverns raised it to 180. Then the torpor rises slowly enough that it'll never wake up before it tames out.....narcoberries are actually preferable when abusing the torpor buffer mechanic because they raise torpor slower despite being overall less effective.
You want to fight a boss? you need to find a blueprint for a decent rex saddle and start grinding those out. They turn up in deep sea loot crates iirc, and protip: when you find a deep sea loot crate, build a stack of pillars next to it to mark the area for next time. Makes it much faster to do circuits around the island. I don't think you can repair weapons and such in a saddle, unless you have an engram for abberation. Also, the giga is terrible. It takes masses of fall damage from the tiniest drops imaginable. One foot drop? both legs explode.
Invest in shocking trank darts. You make them in the fabricator and need stuff from jellyfish. You can safely kill jellyfish by pikeing them from a raft. It is safe. Just dont get caught by them because they have the debuff that makes you not move.

I have a couple tips for you: Tame a yuty as they give ur dinos a buff when it roars when in boss fight but you must do it in settings or ride it. You can put 1 male Rex on mating and all your females on mating and you can have all your females lay an egg at the same time and hatch multiple eggs. Don’t sprint on a giga and your stamina will be fine and ALWAYS level melee because health is basically useless and the rest of the points. Hoped this helped.
One of the best episodes in this series so far, you are such a comedian when if comes to this game, you make our day just by making funny comments or when something startles you. If you get a female giga and breed with male, you will rule the island😊❤
Whenever you tame make sure you put a secondary food in as well. Example: if you use prime meat put in a few pieces then add a stack of raw meat. If a creature starts taming and runs out the extra lvls you'd get disappear quickly!
For the broodmother, I suggest taking a group of Megatherium and a few Yutyrannus along with your Rexes. The megatherium have a bonus against bugs and the yutys buff your other dinosaurs with their roars. Daeodon are also helpful, they can heal your other tames a bit, though they aren't really important for the easier bosses. You may also want to tame a pack of Allosaurs and/or a few Spinos for boss battles. The spinos get buffs if around/in water and there is water in the broodmother arena in parts. Allos are just solid all around dinos, especially in packs. Both dinos are more agile and easier to maneuver than rexes. I like them on the final cave to the overseer because they are easier to keep out of the lava.
Love the ARK action! :D Keep them coming! You should do some deep sea content! Try watch a vid on how to tame a Tuso (Kraken) you need to bring a Carbonmys(turtle) with maxed HP and swim up and feed it black pearls! It would be exhilarating!
Little. Tip for getting metal go to the top of the volcano and there will be metal nodes everywhere and get an anklysaurs 75 % weight reduction in metal
I’ve fought all the 3 tiers of every boss. glock you need to get 19 rexs with roughly 30k hp 500%dmg and a yutyrannus with a decent amount of HP and Stamina, when he roars he gives all of your tames within the cone of the roar a buff called courage which grants 25% extra damage and take 25% less damage and his alternate roar fear makes enemies deal 25% less damage and take 25% more damage it is a broken tame that you need to have(can be found commonly in snow biome)
I would recommend taming a Baryonix for exploring the ocean .It will help with many of the ocean dinos especially the Basilosaurus.Baryonixs spawn in the swamps.Great Video and Good Luck
If you didn’t know the ark map can only span 1-2 Gigs total making it one of the most rarest dinosaur in the game and with the rarest animal is a Phoenix that can only spawn during a heatwave and it goes away once the heat wave is done making it the rarest animal/dinosaur in the game
this might be a year old comment but with the tek transmiter you can find the location of any dino you want to get thats usaly how i looked for high level gigas to breed for shits and giggles ofcourse with mods i can also just teleport a giga inside the boss arena
i also play with max 300 level dinos so a perfect tame giga is 449 levels then another 150 orso with leveling but also if you max out the base breed stats i think a 300 perfect tame cna be a max level of like 900 but i dont really remember much about it since i never really maxed out dinos with taming
Megatherium is very good in brood mother and the give the bet hugs. Also just small tip to stop dinos spawning inside walls through few foundations around. Keep up great content man. Ur the best
If you wanna do any boss fight I highly suggest you should take a Yutyrannus and a Daeodon(Pig), Yutys do a buff roar and makes any dinosaur have a 25% buff to stats and the Daeodon is able to heal your creatures when they have food in their inventory. And these 2 creatures are technically require to beat the boss fights.
Yes and if glock sees this I’ll explain. Megatheriums get a big boost every time they kill a bug. This counts for the spider minions the broodmother spawn. Basically they stack to 350% damage against the broodmother. They can do insane amounts of damage. I also recommend learning how to get mutations
also- the fires required to incubate depends on the temperature of the outside. holding 'H' will tell you in the upper left hand corner, or openign your inventory if you dont know the current temperature. eggs only incubate at certain temps, and this can vary greatly per tame
Try to get a couple Megatherium & Yutys for the boss fight. I had three rexes get killed , and a couple took serious damage. Megatherium will clean up the boss fight a lot. Two boars will also help. My kill team was : two boars, seven rexes, one tek stego (as a tank) , two megatherium. Myself on a dire bear, a second dire bear for back up. And a few sabertooth, for cannon fodder
There's a list of animals you can take into a boss fight. I'd recommend Allosauruses to back up the Rexs. The number you can take with you also varies from map to map. If I remember, the limit on the Island is 50? Dude, you should try getting a high level sarco. I think you'd love it.
well done g9 gigas can get abit bitey.get a water tame like a sarco or a baryonx so u can use it to passive tame a basilosaurus which u can use to do the water caves and get the artifacts and good saddle blueprints
Not gonna lie, when G9 said he was going to try to tame a giga, I honestly didn't think there was any chance of that happening. Here's to being proven wrong!
A giga tame is actually not that hard, on it's own. I mean at default rates he would have needed like 500-1000 narcotic... but, still. Although, in ARK, I'm used to having a plan b, c, d, e, and f... for any dangerous activity. Cuz murphey's law can rear it's head rather brutally and suddenly. I mean, imagine if instead of a rhino wandering by, it was a wolf pack, and they started knocking him downhill away from his bird, while the giga figured out a way to get loose... He's been getting very lucky so far.
@@panda93247 nah, more like just someone who played waaaaay too much ark, and got tired of losing tames & gear. With enough hours in ark, you just start to get paranoid about everything which can go wrong.
the longneck rifle is better than the crossbow but since u have a purple crossbow its better than the longneck rifle if u find a purple longneck rifle its gonna be better and its best for u to use a longneck rifle, please applaud more
not against a giga. you actually want crossbows for gigas. Whenever a giga's torpor is not going up (due to tranq projectiles or narcotics once KO'd) it's torpor drops FAST. Tranq arrows have a longer, overlapping torpor increase effect, which stacks somewhat. So you build up a buffer of rising torpor after a while, and then a missed shot doesn't cost you a ton of torpor as it starts to plummet again. A tranq dart does a lot more torpor, but it completes it's torpor effect by the time the longneck reloads, giving a lot of opportunity for the torpor to fall again. There's a few creatures where you want the more gradual, "buffered" torpor of a crossbow, and the giga is the most drastic case. Doedicurus is another example, though for different reasons. You can stack enough torpor to KO a doed before he curls up into a ball with an xbow. He'll curl up, but he'll already have enough backlogged torpor from arrows to KO by then. Most creatures though, yeah.
Me who has a level 60 giga and destroys everything in sight. Glock who has almost a level 200 giga. Me: This man he has infinite power no man could possibly match him.
You should tame some megatheriums to fight the broodmother. Breed an army of them. They get the bug buff, making them more powerful. Top that off with a Yuty to buff them, and you will beat the broodmother easy.
You should think about getting a pair of megalosaurus for running the caves, They're smaller and more powerful than rexes. The difficulty increase between the starter caves and the advanced caves is significant. If I recall correctly, you'll encounter dinos up to level 600 in some of the caves on the island.
Haha same thing happened to me when I was taming a Giga it didnt go into the metal gate trap but it got focused on the gate and kept attacking it and I just shot it in the distance and when it ran I just ran fast as frick and knocked it out in the artic and the chase began in the mountain lol
There used to be a trick, where if you uncryod the giga just when you loaded into the boss it would glitch in, not sure its still a thing or not though, awsome vid though glock, as always 👍
Great job taming a giga that early! You might already know about this but beware of giga rage, it is when a tamed giga will suddenly turn on you and any of your other tames in the area. I don’t know if there is something that causes this, or if it just happens randomly.
Enough damage, or enough damage quickly, I forget. The joke is they have weak ankles, because stepping off a rock is sometimes enough fall damage to make them rage 😝
I’ve yet to find someone besides you who does a good job making an entertaining ark series. Just goes to show what a quality created you are. Love all your content keep up the great work 👍
Use a crossbow and tranq arrows on most creatures. Its cheaper and generally better. Also for creatures with high torpor drain. Use berries. They apply torpor slower and with such high drain? It going up means it won't go down. Keep on top of that torpor Also don't be the guy to fight a wild giga with your tamed one. You will loose.
You can win against a wild giga... if it's much lower level, yours is well bred, fully leveled, and has a good saddle, and ideally another giga for mate boost. But yeah, wild has like 4x the health and 2x the melee compared to tamed of similar level. And you can't get low health on your tamed one or it hulks out and kills you.
You must get yourself a yute (a dodo + rex ) and a daedon ( a pig ) a yute can buff up the tames melee by its roar and the daedon which can heal the tames in it surroundings but it needs a crap ton of food in it's inventory so you may put points in food of a daedon when you get one for the bosses
I love this series! I hope he keeps going it will be awesome to see another map after this one glock you rock man try the next map with all default settings expect taming your just to boss at this game I never have any fear of you dying especially after that giga tame LOL
My base is right between the 2 mountains to the east in the river basin. I can confirm there is a Giga that spawns on both of these non snow mountains. One level 96 Giga decided to come down and eat the ass of half my dino's and wreck my base while I was out gathering.
yeah, that shorter metal mountain straight north of where he's based? I had a wooden base near there in early game. Luckily, when gigas were added to the game, I found out gigas were spawning up the hill before they ate my base, and I was able to double the walls (2 walls, 6 high and 4 foundations apart). This prevented the gigas having a desire to enter my base area (though they easily could, just didn't have any aggro to my tames inside).
You should take a Therizionsaur they are good at gathering thatch fiber and berry's I normally find them along the rivers but don't know normal spawn area
Heres 2 things about gigs never attack a wild giga with a tamed 1 wild giga are to op. The 2nd tip is if you see a giga you dont want drown it so better spawn
A giga has a debuff witch with stats. A tamed giga has 17,000 health and 100 damage and a wild giga has 80,000 heath and 500 damage. But the giga has one of the highest stats. And if the giga take too much damage it will kill you and everything!
So apparently I can't take the Giga to a boss fight... oh well, it was still fun, hope you all enjoy! See ya next time.

Also, the amount of fires needed to hatch an egg can change based on time of day.. one minute its incubating and the next it might start spoiling.
Keep them coming! You should do some deep sea content! Try watch a vid on how to tame a Tuso (Kraken) you need to bring a Carbonmys(turtle) with maxed HP and swim up and feed it black pearls! It would be exhilarating!
You should tame a few megatheriums they get a buff when they kill insects perfect for mama spider
Absolutely. I can take on the Brood Mother with just 5 Megatherium, and nothing else, because that buff stacks quick.
Little. Tip for getting metal go to the top of the volcano and there will be metal nodes everywhere and get an anklysaurs 75 % weight reduction in metal
"You Didn't Know, Now you Know. But your dead" -Glock 9 the science guy -2021
Ur the best

You know it’s the most dangerous thing he’s ever attempted because he said it before he even attempted it
If you wanna do any boss fight I highly suggest you should take a Yutyrannus and a Daeodon(Pig), Yutys do a buff roar and makes any dinosaur have a 25% buff to stats and the Daeodon is able to heal your creatures when they have food in their inventory. And these 2 creatures are technically require to beat the boss fights.
Glock9: only on this channel do you witness this fuckery!
Me: yeah but I still love the videos so keep it up!
Unfrickinbelievable...the highest level dinosaur Glock sees is a Giga!!! That's some beginners luck on that tame!!!
Might be late but, he did not just say its the circle of life. I love your videos. I swear I have re-watched this series like 5 times.
Be careful your giga doesn’t get enraged. It will kill everything. You, your dinosaurs, and basically everything that stands in its path.
Mega-thereums are the best for brood mother
Yes and if glock sees this I’ll explain. Megatheriums get a big boost every time they kill a bug. This counts for the spider minions the broodmother spawn. Basically they stack to 350% damage against the broodmother. They can do insane amounts of damage. I also recommend learning how to get mutations
also- the fires required to incubate depends on the temperature of the outside. holding 'H' will tell you in the upper left hand corner, or openign your inventory if you dont know the current temperature. eggs only incubate at certain temps, and this can vary greatly per tame
glock9:
my mountain!
my volcano!
MY ISLAND!!!
“Only on this channel will you see such fuckery”. No glock. No. This is ark. Get used to it. 😂
He got stuck between a rock and a hard place and made a new friend. Gigalife.
@@kathrynck What a gamer
Glock9: "when it gets close to the point of going down"
Me: "you got a LOOOOOONG way to go for that boss..."
the only thing that came to my mind with the Giga's name is. {I love it when you call me big pappa}.
You should tame some megatheriums to fight the broodmother. Breed an army of them. They get the bug buff, making them more powerful. Top that off with a Yuty to buff them, and you will beat the broodmother easy.
Oh man. Big Poppa is a powerhouse! I love how you had bloodlust with him until the turtle.
Taming a giga just as this episode came out
Congrats
Hey glock 9 love ur video ark and 7 days there really good u should try to tame alpha dino the one and glowing red stuff around a dino
You should think about getting a pair of megalosaurus for running the caves, They're smaller and more powerful than rexes. The difficulty increase between the starter caves and the advanced caves is significant. If I recall correctly, you'll encounter dinos up to level 600 in some of the caves on the island.
Good luck teaching that Rex Ada's signature bouncing. :D
Haha same thing happened to me when I was taming a Giga it didnt go into the metal gate trap but it got focused on the gate and kept attacking it and I just shot it in the distance and when it ran I just ran fast as frick and knocked it out in the artic and the chase began in the mountain lol
Taking a giga is SUPER dangerous even when its tamed at any time it could attack you even when its tamed
You should make yourself some darts with the jellyfish. They are far more potent than the regular ones.
*Brood mother exists* Glock9 comes barreling in with 50 inbred T-Rexes
20 max.
and they're very likely all going to die.
although he's had an insane amount of luck so far.
Keep on top of that torpor
Also don't be the guy to fight a wild giga with your tamed one.
I loved the Biggie reference whilst riding big poppa
there is 1 option that can let you see the dmg that your dinos deal
You can make prime meat jerky that takes a long time to spoil so you can keep it for taming, it’s just about as effective as normal prime meat
Gigas are great for farming meat & clearing certain dlc contents, like osd‘s on ext and missions on genesis. Nice catch glock 👌
I love this series! I hope he keeps going it will be awesome to see another map after this one glock you rock man try the next map with all default settings expect taming your just to boss at this game I never have any fear of you dying especially after that giga tame LOL
a partner for the flying ones would have been great.....
and yes thicc getting ignored pretty bad!
Gigas are ok. Just don't trust them too much. If they take too much damage, they rage and kick you off and turn on you.
Congrats on taming a Giga! Its super hard.
18:12 SWEET HOME ALAMBAMA !!!!!!
You should tame a thylacoleo. They are fast, versatile, and tanky
And an annoying shit
Hey gloc! your big peppa is like a Devil Jho in monster hunter game hahaha I love watching your videos. I really enjoyed it! 🤩
You should take a Therizionsaur they are good at gathering thatch fiber and berry's I normally find them along the rivers but don't know normal spawn area
Glock when you hit 1 million don’t forget us❤️
These need to be twice as long. So lucky with gigs lol. Plz more this.
Heres 2 things about gigs never attack a wild giga with a tamed 1 wild giga are to op. The 2nd tip is if you see a giga you dont want drown it so better spawn
you should try and tame a therizinasaur, they look badass with freddy kruger claws extremely good at harvesting thatch too
A giga has a debuff witch with stats. A tamed giga has 17,000 health and 100 damage and a wild giga has 80,000 heath and 500 damage. But the giga has one of the highest stats. And if the giga take too much damage it will kill you and everything!
Stuck between a rock and a hard place.. smh.. I expected more from the Giga 😂😂
