  • What will happen if transformer neutral is not earthed has been explained in Hindi. Transformer neutral is EARTHED / GROUNDED for this 3 main reasons - Floating Neutral, E/F protection, Protection from lightning.
This is one of most frequently asked electrical job interview question. You should explain these 3 points in job interview.

Where does the Neutral in deed float ? Your to the point Answer today to this question ,i.e., "in the phasor domain" - that really really touched a lot technically Sir .
    Please keep it up 🙏

    Sir,
I have a question regarding transformer neutral earthing.
Case 1: Should the transformer Neutral and the transformer frame along with other substation equipment's/structures be interconnected and earthed in substation? or
Case 2: Should the transformer neutral and the frame be separately earthed and brought to the Main switchboard and interconnected via Link only at the Main switchboard? The neutral and the earth is not connected anywhere else.
From what I have seen, case 1 is usually followed in India while the case 2 is followed in middle east and it seems the US too follows the case 2.
Are both the cases correct? Why are they different?

Sir , One more Vital Point I would like your good self to comment please which is as follows :
When one of the three phases connected in Star configuration fails , then volage of other two phases being 120 degrees apart & equal in magnitude must have resultant equal to either of them so that in that case , Neutral has to act as phase & all the houses connected beween the two healthy phases & neutral , will receive line voltage 415 V if & and only if the neutral is not of course grounded . And Neutral Grounding ensures 230 V in this very case na .
My understanding may please be reviewed & acknowledged Sir .

If neutral is broken after transformer supply then what happened and can we use only phase
