CA glues stick well to it, but not as a permanent repair due to the difference in the flexibility of the bumper compared to the inflexibility of the CA glue, thats the reason for using the urethane welding rod, it sticks well and has better flexibility properties.
Can you please tell me what the approximate temperature should be in the soldering iron when you set it to PUR? After all, all the following divisions have a higher temperature🤔
Hi. I have repaired a PURIM bumper with the machine and with your instructions. I have several concerns: Does polyurethane welding maintain its properties over the years or will it come off in the future? Does polyurethane welding need some kind of internal reinforcement to help with the passage of time? thank you
It should hold up to the test of time just fine. We have samples here almost 20 years old that look as good as the ones made a few months ago. Due to the nature of the repair, you cannot add internal reinforcement to the repair area.
