I own the original silver version and have ridden it for over 3000km a few other issues i would like to point out are 1)Spoke quality :- its very poor quality spokes which break quite a lot even when being careful, I have broken the driveside spokes on the rear wheel 5 times now and its always near the nipple 2)saddle quality :- i live in kerala and out of the 3000km i have done, almost 1200km was in rainy conditions and just overall humid environment. This has lead to most of the staples falling off after rusting from underneath the saddle which were holding the top fabric onto the plastic piece underneath 3)lack of a climbing gear :- the front chainring has 44tooth while the biggest cog on the rear has 28 and this leads to a pretty bad time when trying to climb but the 4)Bottom bracket :- it has a squaretaper bb from some brand and mine broke at only 600km so had to replace that with a shimano branded one 5)shifting :- the cassette shifts decently on higher gears but while shifting from 2nd to 1st there is some skipping as the chain dosent line up with the teeth, even with a tuned rd overall i find its a decent bike especially with the endurance frameset which reduces stress on newer riders and can be ridden fairly far once you get used to it
What about the puncher issue i have heard quite a few of them i am currently using vector 91 athens 21 speed for a year now and now i know i like road bikes better but this is the only bike i can afford so i want to make my money worth Oh can i upgrade front gear making from 7 speed to 21 speed 😅
oh i forgot to say I specifically ask for punchers because I don't always have good roads You know Indian roads and i also want to go offroad little bit 😊
@@donikrakhi8510 Hi, about the puncture point, i have never had a puncture myself on the road its been about 5000km+ with me now, and its still going strong. The tubes btw are hartex branded ones. Have made 1 major change to the rear wheel which is getting it relaced with some pillar spokes after my 8th spoke break (yes, 3 more broke after i wrote my comment haha). The rear wheel feels so much more stiffer now, spokes have stopped losing tension during rides, and it just feels way better to ride now knowing i wont be left stranded on the road. The question about front gears, i would suggest getting either a 21speed bike, rather than upgrading although adding 2x/3x crankset to this one is also possible but is not economical. Unless you are planning to ride very big hills, upgrading to a 2x7 setup will be for the best. If you live in a flat area, the 44/28 lowest ratio is very easy to turn, and the 44x12 feels like a good sprinting gears for beginners to the sport.
I own the same bike in silver colour.. No puncture issues with the new hybrid tyres previously they used to give road tyres there it used to have puncture issues but now we have broken spoke issue the spokes are really very weak I changed 4 of them and each costs around 100-150
Hey bro I came across while searching some info about my Triban RC 100. I was in an accident due to which the drop bar handle for the RC 100 was damaged and was told to get a new one. I was wondering where I can buy one
decathlon sells the bars on their online store and i think some offline stores might also have it in stock. I would suggest taking the bike into the store since it sounds like a pretty nasty crash if the bar broke. They can check for frame and fork damage as well just in case.
This bike from Decathlon is value for the money you pay. Its has good specs. if you are someone who is starting their cycling journey and want to enter into Road Bike Category this bike is where it starts from. Team Velocrush India very well explained. Please do make more vidoes and reviews on budget friendly bikes. Thank You
