Amen Pastor Orpheus Heyward so thankful God brought you into my path at Ekklesia where I heard you and spoke to you after service. I am so Blessed by God for bringing you into the path of our Anointed Pastor Matt and his precious family whom I love with all my heart. Praise God for you in Jesus Name Amen
Why in the world would you correctly preach the word, then mess it up by using instrumental music in worship? And somebody needs to explain the difference between "pastor" and "preacher" to the woman who shouldn't even be speaking. I thought this was a church of Christ. I don't know what it is.
Matthew 28:18 Go ye therefore and teach all nations. You sound like the Jews who got mad at Jesus for healing the woman on the Sabbath day. When shouldn't God's word be preached?
@@brendanjobe6895 this isn’t where Dr. Heyward preaches. He was invited to preach at The Faith Center. We don’t use instruments @ Renaissance COC where Dr. Heyward preaches.
@@mbrummer06 What in the world is "The Faith Center"? I've never heard of it. Does it teach baptism unto the remission of sins? Does it employ recent innovations such as mechanical instruments in worship? I ask because I simply do not know.
@@brendanjobe6895 It is not a COC. But yes, they do baptize for the remission of sins. And yes, they do use instruments. Dr. Heyward was invited to speak there.
A wonderful message but I am not comfortable with some Churches of Christ bringing in worldly/denominational practices. Like why was there a organ sound during a certain part of the preachers message. We don’t need any type of musical sounds to emphasize what was being preached. There is no scripture in the NT that teaches it was used. Also the practice of calling the ministers wife the First Lady is a denominational practice. No where in scripture does it speak of any ‘first lady’ designation that puts emphasis on one sister over another in the church. According to scripture we are to speak where the scriptures speak and be silent where it is silent. I have been in the Lord’s church for over 30 yrs and I am disappointed to see worldly practices coming into the Lord’s church.
This preacher i admire him the way he expound God's word but in his home congregation where he preached use instruments of musoc in their worship service. So sad😔
Dr. Heyward was invited to preach at The Faith Center. He was being gracious in calling the preacher & his wife by the titles they wear in their church. We don’t use instruments @ Renaissance COC where Dr. Heyward preachesz
Joh 8:7 KJV So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. Put the stone down and pick the bible up. God said to preach to all nations, stops focusing on tradition like the Jews did back then. Some coc members are becoming just like the Jews who crucified Jesus and its sad, that you can't see that. God's words is to be preached and taught to "all nations". I can't emphasize that enough, it's not about your comfort it's about God's will.
@@jenjandamuy1241 There were no instruments used in "Christian" worship for about a thousand years - not because they didn't possess them, but because they knew better. As late as 1800, very few Baptist and Presbyterian churches used instruments. Why not?
