I have over 200 hours into this (xbox and Pc). Just an incredible game. Hope this video of yours gains tons of views. Cheers man.
99 percent? Bro you smoking some crack? Go play the original game and make a note of all the unnecessary changes. Half the god damn contents from the original has been removed .

The Crimson Head Ganado was such a creepy and frightening concept.. you can hear and see it taking over his entire body.. You get a glimpse of the tiny tentacles sprouting from every orifice..a taste of things to come.. When you blow off limb , you realize the parasite has grown , spread, and integrated throughout thier entire circulatory system.
Simply amazing video! Just finished this in VR and you make me want to go through again! since Ive apparently missed a lot of cool things (like visiting the sacrificial altar from the opening & treasure hunting with Ashley) BUT I have good news. The bugs you said you aren't a fan of because you cannot one-shot... you CAN one-shot them but only if they are shot while over a large fall.. which is actually quite common
I cannot wait to see what higher quality looks like if this is the standard. I loved the editing of this, the commentary, I also loved how the tier list was short and sweet. S+ tier RE video
This was a very pleasant video to watch! Everything was really well paced and you touched upon all the important points. That 3 hours went by too quick almost, i would definitely watch more reviews from you! This one has to be one of the best about RE4 Remake on the platform! Cheers, mate
This is really well done, great video! I don't usually like to watch long review videos but this kept me engaged all the way through keep up the great work Also, I'd love to know how you got your game to look so.. blue. The intensified blue filter on your end makes the game look how I wish mine looked, by any chance could you share your settings or how you managed to make your game look like that if it's not too big of a problem? I'd greatly appreciate it but if you can't, I understand and it's totally alright. Keep up the great work!
I'm really glad you enjoyed it, as for the look of the game I think it might be because I usually make horror games ever so slightly darker than default settings and I keep HDR on. Hope this was helpful!
The vibes I was getting the castle, the Duke it was giving me resident evil four vibes the village, even though it was short it was still giving me the vibes of resident evil for and they also had the boat part. I was definitely getting Rizzio for vibes I had a feeling that they were going to remake it and I was one of those fans that was right about that feeling
Also. 1:42:20 after throwing the golden egg at Salazar, while he’s stunned instead of knifing him, pump 4-5 shotgun shots into him and 2 magnum shots, the boss fight will end in about 15 seconds total, maybe even 10
Gotta say I disagree with the church section. It makes sadler seem way more powerful telepathically commanding them. Like hes the big bad why is he going out of his way to go there for no reason.
1:22:10 a good tip for the cqbr I put my stingray In storage, and bring the cqbr with me for the gold knight request, to help save on rifle ammo, technically it’s 20 free bullets and then go sell it after you complete the request, like the creator mentioned, low damage, and rifle ammo isn’t common enough to be dumping 20 round magazines Willy nilly
If you put your back to the wall and look at the lightbulb at the twin chainsaw fight and shoot 5 mines at the lightbulb then start the fight it insta kills them
Eggs are always top tier. So is doing a casual tier list in the middle of a mega-essay on RE-make4 which compares + contrasts it with the original game. Boss move.
Maybe because I didn't play the original but I thought Salazar was an amazing character and good when he appeared. To me the game was a masterpiece from the enemies to the world and music everything was perfect.
This isn't even a series/game I play(ed), but even I knew Luis* deserved better. I am beyond delighted that such a fantastic, charismatic, fun character actually got what he deserved. I actually hoped he wouldn't die in the RE-makes so we'd see him again, but legit his death here is earned & good for the story & he doesn't feel wasted (no pun intended) like in the original. They did right by their character this time. Baby Eagle was much better done too, & the relationships in general feel more meaningful & "natural", while keeping the camp. * I looked up the name to check spelling & my laptop opened the Wikipedia page for the name "Luis" & it makes me wonder if the writers/devs consciously chose to use this name for the root meanings, etymologically. Either way it's an interesting read.
I think the original is better in ever single way aside from graphical fidelity, but it still lost its original atmosphere in translation. The combat was a SLOG because of gun sway, intertia, no guaranteed stuns on enemies anymore, and ZERO i frames when you melee an enemy. I had fun with it, i gave it a favorable review on Steam but i did NOT like this game more than the OG and i still think it was largely unneeded.
You called it, as soon this Awesome Review of RE4 Remake got more attention...you can guess what happens next. Check out the newest comments to see what I mean 🤨
Perfection is the RE1 Remake, these later games are re-imagined by some idiot at Capcom thinking making the game more dark and less fun is the way to go. RE4 2005 was a fun game with many segments, the remake took half of that out, slapped parts of it on a $10 DLC, they removed the Incinderary Grenades just to added another a bigger grenade, removed the Mine Launcher and replaced it with a fucking usless bow gun. So incompetent that the shooting mini games doesn't even have different backgrounds like the original.
You do realize separate ways was originally not included in the gc release so it was very steeply overpriced dlc to begin with because you had to buy a whole ass console and the game again to experience it. Thankfully you can always go back and play the og because it seems like you cant enjoy a game remake if it doesnt have every room and section that wasnt in the og even though they have expanded most areas a fuck ton. And incendiary grenades were useless besides one boss in the og anyway. Games dont have unlimited budgets and dev time so comparing 2005 game development with 2023 game development is dumb because games take a lot longer and are way more expensive to make than they were 20 years ago
I enjoyed all the remakes even 3, but they had SERIOUS flaws and were absolutely NOT remakes... the devs even said they are not remakes, they are reimaginings... so then why TF did they begin this entire thing with the "We do it" guy, standing in front of a Resident Evil 2 REMAKE screen!? It was never a remake, they are fan fiction reimaginings and we never got the REmake 2 we deserved. Let the newcomers say what they will, we old timers carried the torch that kept this series alive to begin with, by that measure our opinions matter, i would even hazard to say MORESO than their Johnny come lately bs lol.
@@vainojari This isn't about "every room and section" they fundamentally changed the core combat and aesthetics... it's not a remake. It's a fan fiction reimagining. Fun romp once or twice, but i'll enjoy watching everyone utterly forget it as the OG shines on for 20 more years at least.
Bro really just said''Allowing the badass couple to get some shots in"which i think needs to be done.(please don't hate me i just it is what needs tobe done)2:21:25
I love the Remake as much as, if not more, than the original. Ashley's characterization and personality are just an improvement from the original. I also love the implication that she wants to be a special agent like Leon instead wanting "overtime" with Leon. Krazer is definitely a better character, especially since his appearance does not feel very abrupt in the Remake. Mandez sounds and acts like an actual preacher/paster/priest instead of the brutish head of the villagers. Salazar, although losing the charm of being a childish spoiled brat, comes across as creepy and insane. With Sadler? I am mixed. I mostly like the new voice because I swear he sounds little different than every generic male Nord in Skyrim as his voice actor is the same guy and he did little to even remotely sound like he is from somewhere Spain. Ada's vocal performance I feel extremely mixed by. It is fine. It just feels like there is something off with it. Louis is definitely a character now instead of a plot device that Leon got along with a bit too quickly.
The hell even is the point of that inital scene with the sacrifice? It seems to have no bearing on the plot, you have to go out of your way to find it in game, and leon iirc hardly comments on it. Its not even a character from a previous game, just random person who leon nor player have any emotional stock invested in.
Re4 remake was a solid remake but i still prefer re2 remake just alil more. I think the perfect remake is still re1 remake on game cube. Took everything in the original and improved it across the board with excellent new additions. It holds up incredibly well these days and nailed absolutely everything. Re4 remake lost some things and brought some new things, i loved it but re4 has never been my favorite, thats probably always gonna be code Veronica.
Yeah, they're very close to being even for me but I think I prefer the Red9 because of how much of a staple that gun was in the original, but next time I do a pistol only run I'll be sure to try the Blacktail as my main handgun and see if my opinion changes. Thank you for sticking around so far into the video I really appreciate it.
@EQOAnostalgia I like the combat but I don't like how much shorter they made most sections... I mean some sections are 1:1 copies of the original like the Island's first location and then you have other locations completely missing like the sewers in the castle and many more.
I liked the game but the over implementation of the knife ruined the remake for me personally. It defeats the gun gameplay when you can literally just knife or backstab everything. Using the knife in every fight it got old really quick.
The ultimate sins of the remake are the core changes to combat making stuns unreliable and pointless since Leon has no i frames anymore, and the visual change in tone. The OG has MUCH better combat and the atmosphere is so amazing.

the setting of re4 would make such a great miniseries. I would love to see the origins of mendez for example .
Take note Krauser called him by name instead of rookie in the end.
This game was so fun. My only issue was that I played like the original and spammed the bosses with rocket launchers 😅
In terms of Leon being super human well he was played by a Power Ranger at one point.
