    This is my story completely. I was constantly on antibiotics for ear infections as a child. Diagnosed at 20 with crohns. Hospital stays, medications, very sick for 10 years. Refused surgery and upping my medication and instead decided to change my diet. First removed dairy with HUGE improvement, then went vegan plant based gluten free. 15 years no disease, no medications. I eat plants, no gluten and lots of probiotic rich foods. God bless, you can heal.

      Hi everyone, I was cured of Crohn's disease, thank God, in a completely different way. Crohn's problem. Come on, the blood isn't reaching the colon in enough quantity to heal automatically. My botanist therapist gave me a blood and arterial remedy called a cholesterol solvent. This is a Crohn's treatment. I am cured of Crohn's disease by God's command once and for all. After recovery, the immunity stopped attacking the colon, because the problem was simply over. The infection is over. This is my story and I translate it via Google. Sorry for any spelling errors.

    I have come to the conclusion, *"You have to be a better doctor than the one treating you."* I'm 62 years old and I have been diagnosed with Diverticula, IBS, Acid Reflux, and the last scope they told me I had no stomach lining. One doctor did diagnose with Crohn's disease ... and occasionally I had bouts with diarrhea but my issue was mainly pain, inflammation, heartburn, constipation, and Ice pick headaches. I have been dealing with this for 15 years or so and not one doctor, and not one GI specialist mention anything about animal products. Basically was told to make sure I ate at least 30 grams of fiber. As things kept getting worse they added drugs and due to the pressure after eating I started to have heart attacks. I was afraid to go anywhere and afraid to eat ... I did go through a short stage of losing weight but I was so inflamed that I started gaining weight and now the doctor considers me obese. About 8 months ago I had to have an emergency removal of my gallbladder ... not due to stones but it just died on me for some odd reason. *As the other issues as mentioned in the video, not enough is said about how gross it is from bad breath to bowel movements to itchy and odor of your skin! It gets really bad!*
    Out of desperation ... I go talk to a colon hydrotherapy therapist for treatment and she tells me about taking *HCL with Pepsin* with meals and to research plant-based diet. I felt so much better taking the HCL with my meals but I still did not have much of an appetite. And I was gaining weight and hardly eating. I started eating plant-based and something amazing happened. In 2 weeks I lost 20lbs and off a couple of drugs. In 30 days I lost another 10lbs (back to normal) and off all my drugs including cholesterol drugs. I now have my life back, and my appetite is getting better and have more energy.
    I did take probiotics and enzymes supplements for many years but it did not help at all *till* I went Plant-based. Now I get those through fermented foods. *I also cut way back on the HCL with pepsin.* I just don't get it ... how come doctors don't know this and continue to prescribed drugs like candy. Not even the nutritionist they sent me to tell me of going plant-base. My doctor still not convinced ... will she be convinced by the end of the month for my checkup ... it will be over 2.5 months going plant-based? We will have to wait and see ... *I wasted a lot of money* not just on useless drugs but in trying to eat so-call call healthy with grass-fed meats, free-range Chicken and Eggs, USDA organic Milk & Butter, and Wild-caught Fish and of course Organic Fruits and Vegetables. *Nothing worked till all the animal products were out of my diet!*

I also have to fight eating Lay's Cheddar Potato Chips. Anyway … I basically eat plants 99% of the time. • @giovanbattistafichera8439
    @giovanbattistafichera8439 3 года назад +7

    It's much simpler than she puts it actually.
    The problem is DYSBIOSIS (in layman's terms, it means that there is a disbalance between good and helpful bacteria and bad bacteria). Bad bacteria feed on fats and junk food and the toxins released destroy the gut lining. This is where things go crazy: the gut lining is a protective barrier between what you put in your mouth and what goes in your bloodstream. If you have leaky gut, your body's immune system will attack anything that's leaking from there and set off an inflammatory response. How do you counteract this?
    Well, you need to have a strategy in place to restore balance in your microbiome. A good rule of thumb would be to go plant-based (no junk) but you need guidance because most people can't just have a bowl of raw veggies. The trick is to retrain your gut to process fibre efficiently again. Many UC patients already know this but they're not gradual about it and they're like amateur weightlifters going for the 300lb on their first day. You need a nutritionist who can advise you and slowly bring you there.

    While the idea of phasing to a plant based diet is intriguing, there are some things about this lecture that make me pause. I'm not sure when this lecture was given, but many of the studies cited are not within the last 5 years. Sometimes from the 1980s! At 14:09, there is a "study" listed that includes 10 patients (and the source below says it's from 1985). One solitary 10-patient study isn't enough. You need meta-analysis of hundreds of patients from all geographical locations, ethnic/cultural backgrounds, and ages to make sure those findings are accurate. And the Gluten slide at 16:38 (when she says, "see how many studies are listed?") lists the same 2014 study three times? I'm just kind of baffled by that. It seems misleading and makes me question the validity of this whole video.

    I don't understand this constant back and forth between eating vegetables and not? I was told insoluble fibre is what irritates and inflames the gut because it takes so much energy to digest? Are vegetables only beneficial when the gut is healed? After my recent few flares within the past few months I stopped being vegetarian as I was told animal protein was more calorific and the protein is easier digested. I'm just unsure now as to what's actually beneficial anymore since I do miss being vegetarian

    i have had these symptoms for 32yrs i developed them after i had my son. i got diagnosed with U.C. and crohns disease 3yrs ago. iv'e been on three maybe 4 different medications all of which made me sick on top of my symptoms. one of the steriods did give me some relief but that was temporary' i was then approved for Humira which seemed great until i started looking into wether it helped or hurt people. well three months later it still sits unused in my frig. i lost my job four years ago due to excessive bathroom stops. i haven't brought myself to venture out again. i spend pretty much everyday at home. my friends and family understand but being in new places, meeting new people has been stressful for me. i have been working on my diet lately lol after years of dietary abuse it is a slow process. beef is a no no for me. raw vegetables cramp me instantly some fruits will do the same thing. i am working on healing my gut with probiotics and fermented foods. realizing that my body does not absorb nutrients properly i take supplements and a digestive enzyme at meals. my symptoms have gotten under better control i think for the most part i have to convince my brain that i dont have this disease anymore

    Sounds to me that people with IBS are not producing enough bile from the gall bladder to break down fats and maybe the liver isn't working so well either. If the gall bladder and or liver isn't working quite right, find out why. Once you have that answer, you can begin to fix the problem.
    Do you not have enough acid in the stomach to break down foods further before it gets to the small intestine and then the large and finally the colon?

      Gut issues are from stress. Most everyone with gut issues has/had traumatic events in their lives. The brain and the gut are connected. I have developed SIBO and this was after I have dealt with a horrible marriage now going through divorce, my mother almost dying from hemorrhaging and now going through horrible chemo treatments and being quarantined because of her treatments and not wanting to get her sick. If you don’t deal with stress (or it’s triggers) you can’t fully heal yourself.
      Then these foods that once didn’t bother you now do because of the inflammation. We need to know how to deal with toxic emotions/fears/stress.

    What do you mean by 'low dose probiotics'? I have severe Crohn's with colon removed and each time I've try probiotics I have an increase in watery bowel movements and pain. It scares me to try anymore probiotics ...but after watching your video I would be willing to try again if I can start with a very tiny dose.
    Regarding dairy...I can't drink milk. I recently read a study about how a British doctor found a direct link between a bacteria found in the digestive tract of cows that's also found in the gut of every Crohn's/IBD patients. They call it MAP and have developed a 2 step vaccine that not only can treat people who have IBD...but it can prevent IBD from developing. Imagine if they had this type of treatment when I was first diagnosed at 13 years old, I likely would've avoided 8 major bowel surgeries and having an ostomy ...not to mention avoiding all the pain and suffering since age 3. The first phase of the study is underway and patients have had the first vaccine, I can't wait for MAP to be known by all GI doctors so studies can start in North America.
    Imagine a world where IBD could be better managed or eliminated...I do.

      @Laura Deck I'm not sure probiotics would help you given they populate the colon. I would look for a Naturopath who has experience with Crohn's. The vaccine now in stage 2 clinical trial I believe (by Dr Herman-Taylor in GBR) may eventually help as this is a therapeutic vaccine, not simply a preventative. Also, keep your eye on another clinical trial, further along, by Qlogics of Canada. This is an immune boosting biologic that is showing great promise in both Crohn's and lung cancer.

    I hope the persons who have watched this video in the past revisit and see my comment, as well as the the people watching this now. Do research on Colostrum. Colostrum will heal your gut and the lining of your intestines. The problem with diet and going vegan is that it will not heal your gut completely as will colostrum. Why and how do I know this? Because once you introduce anything in your diet again you have another flare up.Why? Because your gut is not healed. Heal the gut first then make diet changes. And just eat healthy. But you need to heal the gut for anything to work. We are a symptom treating world and not fixing the initial underlying issue first. We have been drinking milk and eating meat since the dawn of time. It is not the meat and diary that is the problem. Its the gut. leaky gut. Proteins from milk for instance, leaks through the gut in to the blood stream causing an immune response. Therefore each time you have a milk product the body recognizes the "milk" as a foreign body and what manifests is a flare up. The flare up is your immune system. Fix the leaky gut and the protein will not be able to reach the blood stream. Although once the gut is healed it is difficult to teach the immune system to stop reacting to the milk that you ingest. This is another topic. Obviously dont eat processed foods, crap and fast foods. Build your healthy bacteria in your gut so it keeps the bad bacteria in check. Antibiotics kill the good bacteria in your stomach and gut. Exposing us to get sick easier and allowing the bad bacteria to grow out of control. Eating away our insides. All this manifests as symptoms we experience such as allergies, arthritis and every other auto immune disease we experience. Do your research on Colostrum. Fix your leaky gut then make the lifetime diet changes that work for you.

    Although I firmly believe this. What puzzles me is why doesn’t everyone have colitis or crohns. Entire cities and populations eat fast food, meat, dairy. Entire countries eat high meat and dairy with no issues. Although it’s obvious to remove to heal there’s something else lighting the fire in addition to diet choices. I have colitis , why doesn’t my 5 family members have it ? who eat the same diet - in fact I was the healthiest eater mostly vegetarian and no dairy.

    • @drewvans9442
      @drewvans9442 4 года назад +2

      Hey there guys! Ill through in my two cents haha. I believe the cause of ulcerative colitis and crohns is a dysbiosis of the gut microbiome; the bacteria and yeast that live in your gut. When we DO have a proper balance of bacteria they do a huge list of things for us! They literally assist the body in the secretion of “good mucus” which later becomes a biofilm. This biofilm is also known as our gut mucusal layer. Also, when we have a proper microbiome, these bugs ferment fiber and sugar into short chain fatty acids. These SCFAs are critical for our immune function, as well as repairing the intestinal lining called the Epithelium. This is huge!
      When it comes to why some people have it and some don’t, i believe there are a few factors at play. One of course being diet. Its been shown that chronic consumption of processed sugar and refined carbs negatively affects the microbiome. However, there are other things at play. Something that causes severe damage to your gut bugs is antibiotics, which is why they can often cause diarrhea. And even though we often get told to take probiotics with a course of antibiotics, most of them don’t work. Another cause of this dysbiosis is chronic stress. This activation of your sympathetic nervous system shuts down digestion and creates a toxic environment for your gut bacteria and can cause them to die. Finally, i do believe there is a small genetic component to it. Meaning that someone could be predisposed to have a damaged gut microbiome resulting in colitis or crohns.
      However, this does not mean it can’t be fixed! We just need to rebalance the microbiome to allow the guy to heal. However, just taking probiotics may make issues worse. What we fail to realize is that once our microbiome is damaged, our gut lining breaks down, our intestine becomes permeable, and many foods that we USED to be able to eat, hurt us. So what we need to do FIRST is take these foods out and allow our gut to calm down. Then, bringing in the probiotics in the form of spore-based organisms and fermented foods (especially rawKefir) will repopulate the microbiome; resulting in the reversal of UC and Crohns. I would urge you to check out Kenny Honnas on RUclips. He is amazing and has more information on subjects such as these.
      Just remember one thing. Ulcerative coltis and Crohns...is not incurable. Stay strong, never out of the fight.

      @drewvans9442 4 года назад

      I’ll throw in my two cents. I believe he’s partially right. One of the main function of the stomach is to act as a barrier to the rest of our GI tract by killing pathogenic microbes with its high acidity. This is great because it destroys harmful bugs that could infect us with the food we eat. However, this also means that good bacteria will be destroyed in the stomach acid as well, meaning most probiotics can be largely ineffective. However, does this mean that all probiotics are useless? Not necessarily! First, there are things called spore-based or soil-based probiotics. These bugs use naturally occurring bacillus-spores found in the environment around us as the source of probiotic bacteria. These spores are extremely hardy and have been found to survive stomach acid in trials of these spores. So thats one way. However the best way to get probiotics in you, is through fermented foods, PARTICULARLY, raw fermented dairy called Kefir. Its been shown that when live probiotic cultures are ingested along with a viable source of sugar or fiber, that they are way stronger in being able to cope with stomach acid. This means that, because of the fermentable sugar (lactose) found in milk, the bacteria are actually protected by the sugar and thus, survive the stomach. However, this does not mean that you can just chase your probiotic supplements down with some milk or a tablespoon of sugar! The sugar must be fermented and must be an active part of the culture of those bacteria. This effect is also found in fermented veggies like sauerkraut, pickles, and kimchi. These are the methods that you can use to jump start your healing and start getting some probiotics in you that will actually make it to your gut and begin to colonize. I would recommend trying to get your hands on MegaSporeBiotic which is an awesome spore-based probiotic. And later, if you can, get some raw milk and ferment it into Kefir at home. The healing properties of Kefir are amazing when you read about it. Hope you are doing well!

    What doctors understand, but patients and people like this woman fail to grasp, is there there is very little correlation between symptoms and underlying disease. We see people in clinic every day who have no symptoms at all, but their colons are littered with ulcers and sever inflammation; the same is true vice-versa. Diet modification helps, but it only helps with the symptoms of IBD; no dietary modification has EVER been shown to decrease the inflammation associated with IBD. So youll see patients in videos like this and other "natural" health groups claim that they cured their disease by modifying their diet or using natural product X, and theyll believe this because they FEEL better. The problem is that 9 times out of 10, when scoped, they are actually found to be in a flare. This is incredibly dangerous because it is the inflammation that leads to the negative outcomes. Untreated inflammation leads to increasing severity of disease, and increased risk of fistuals, abscesses, phlegmons, strictures, cancer, perforation and colectomy. So all that time while you FEEL great, there is a good chance that your disease is progressing right under your nose.
    The single best approach is to modify your diet IN ADDITION to following evidence based treatment approaches that target the inflammation. That way you get the short and long term benefit and protection

      Interesting theory but if the person feels better for 16 years doesn't that seem like they are far past just being symptom free? Sure they probably still have levels of inflammation and possible ulceration but their state is a helluva lot better than what it was before and chances are the ulceration and inflammation would surely be less just by correlating it with how they feel overall.

      Adrian Bulfon what you said is 100% on point. People absolutely need to get scopes done. But a less invasive means is the fecal cal protection level as you know. When someone is in a flair it's because the body has reached a critical load of toxins in the body. Do we want to stop the body from detoxing or do we want to assist it? Yes, removing the toxic animal foods and chemical loaded processed foods stop adding to the toxic load, but what about the current load the body is trying to deal with at the moment. Not until we look at the body from a holistic approach do we see what's really going on. There are far too many variables to consider than a correlation between whether someone lives in an urban or rural environment. For instance those living in colder climates with less sun exposure have higher rates of IBD as discussed by Dr Michael Greger - lower vitamin D levels which addresses the mind body connection. Higher stress levels move resources to the adrenals rather than the liver and pancreas for enzyme production used in digestion. We also have this reduction approach that puts all eyes on the gut when in fact when someone is more toxic their organs are loaded with toxins as well hampering digestion. I've been Plant Based vegan for over six years and have met far too many people (yes, even nurses) who are plant based and still suffering having tried everything. Not until we embrace the detox and enable the body to heal will we find the answer. To date, David Klein's book, Healing Colitis and Crohn's, is the definitive answer. I doubt Pam will acknowledge this fact as she's completely full of herself and the ego creates blinders no matter if you're plant based.

      I agree with you on pam, but all the detox stuff is just as bad as her imo. I agree that there are toxins we gotta eliminate, but these protocols rarely work.
