0.31s/div? Any oscilloscope at that price is better

I think that was more due to me not really having a clue how to use it. Not much in the way of documentation came with it ... I was just trying to show an "honest" first attempt to use it. /Brett

@@Brfff good review anyway. Knowing bluetooth communication maximum rate is 2Mb/s (if they use it, otherwise it is 1Mb/s). It means practical 100 - 200kHz bandwidth. Way to low for anything modern.

I was starting to think these were never going to come out. I didn't back it, as I had no need for it.

Yeah. Really thought for a while that this was a scam (still in doubt lol). I expect mine to arrive in 2-4 weeks. We'll see.

Hi there. For the Neg Lead clip you have to push from the contact side. if you try to put it on useing the spring loaded part it will not seat properly :D had the same problem with mine :D

Ahhhh! I've not been able to get mine back together since it broke - I think there's a small plastic collar that was glued to hold everything in place (spring under tension). I'll probably look at buying more accessories for it, including another neg. lead clip (if possible)! /Brett

When you "pinch and zoom" it changes the time base and volts per division so after looking at a wave I go back into the mode and reset my desired voltage and time base. Also need to set the triggering to get the oscilloscope to settle down on a nice wave. I think you'll enjoy it when you learn your way around it. I use an Android device, I wonder if the iPad application is more buggy as you seem to be having some odd anomalies I haven't seen.
From the device connection screen you need to click on that gear to check the firmware update status. They just released 1.4.0 a few days ago and it doesn't automatically do the update, in my case I had to tell it to do the update.
The hooks are definitely flimsy. In my kit the red one fell apart after one use. My alligator clips I had to modify so they would securely connect to the probes. I show how I did this in my initial review video. They have some bugs to work out still be overall I've been able to get good use out of the datalogging and oscilloscope functions. I keep mine in my computer bag so I always have a meter with me when I can't or don't want to carry around one of my large Fluke meters.

Thanks Shane, I really appreciate you taking the time to leave a detailed comment. I guess that I'd been waiting so long for this to arrive, I was a little disappointed that the black clip didn't work (and in fact broke). But, yes, I need to spend more time with it (and updating the firmware properly, thanks for the tip!) to understand how to use it best - I was kinda hoping to use it as a simple logic analyser for troubleshooting old computers - I've got a Saleae Logic Pro 16 that works nicely but the probe wires are just a pain ... I usually need to balance the thing on a part of the motherboard so the probe wires reach (really need to look into getting longer one). /Brett

I've been having a bit more of a play - yep, updated the firmware from v1.2.1 to 1.3.0 now (nothing newer showing up). Seems to take a little while for the iPad app. to find/connect to it - I think I have to switch functions on the probe to get it to connect, not just pressing the button. Let's see! /Brett

I don’t like how big the probe is. If I am in an electrical cabinet I don’t need my probe that big bumping into things.

@@Brfff lmao wow!!! That is giant. But no. Seems like it has its place maybe lol. But being in cabinets I prefer a smaller probe. That being said I still thing the Pokit pro is pretty cool.

Идея хорошая, но габариты ручки (прибора) большие.

"The idea is good, but the dimensions of the handle (device) are large."
It's not too bad - there's a lot that needs to be packed into the hand-held unit. I really need to use it more - for most things that I want to check quickly, I'm accustomed to my usual tools and they are faster & easier to use. /Brett

bit "how ya doin"...just gimme a standard multimeter that i can use within seconds, than fiddling around with silly pen like meters that try to be all fancy and connect to devices..

    • @Brfff
      @Brfff  2 года назад

I think it's main draw is more of a portable oscilloscope, with the multimeter stuff thrown in. Certainly to do a quick multimeter-type measurement, a multimeter is faster and less hassle ... don't have to wait for the multimeter to "connect" to its leads! /Brett

Port retro is right. I’m an electrician (and hobby electro nerd of all kinds including vodka bottle capacitors for high voltage fun)
And it’s hard to keep my scope around, especially when I don’t want it to break. Meanwhile, I used this thing to find an arc fault in a DC solar string today. Something Ive NEVER been able to do before until this bad ass doohickey. Not a bench scope for sure but it definitely has a niche.
