This is why you always bring a drone with you when running the RC boats... tie a small hook and fish line to the drone and go fetch the dead boat!.. just drag it back to you. Plus, that would be a cool video for your channel!! Keep up the great work Justin!
Chris. You are so right man. Next time I go boating I am bringing my Typhoon H with a little hook setup. It's always that thought of " I'll just go 30 secs more." that gets me. - JD.
#1 to increase turning radius cut the lil stop bumps off the rudder I used a razor 🔪 knife I did both my Ft012 and Ft011 now they turn wicked sharp!!! #2 To stop the Ft011 bow from bouncing ( porpoising ) or acting like flipper...😂 bend the metal trim tab's down 1\8th inch at a time till it stops doing like da flipper 😀..and it's a lot easier to control at top speed!!!😎😎(adding any weight to these boats unless it's a stronger 🔋 battery "will slow the boats down"!!! ) Add a bigger prop and upgrade the battery and they run 50+ !!!!!! Hope this helps and have fun!!¡¡!!😎😎
Haha I had to go in after mine on the 1st run too. Pushed my luck just 10 seconds too far lol. A way that I solved the stability issue at full throttle was to invest around 30 bucks into the aluminum stabilizer fins and rudder kit. I found it on Aliexpress... def worth it. Took a little modification to the hull to make fit but nothing major. Make sure to seal with silicone too. I also upped to a 35mm 1.4 pitch aluminum prop... found brass or copper beryllium to be too heavy for the crummy stock esc. She handles amazingly on flat water now... no wobble or skating issues. Any decent chop and you cant keep it in the water though haha. I can get a 10 min run if I don't hold the throttle too much all day long. Overall a great little boat
I Got one a few months ago, and installed a $10.00 metal 438 2 blade Bronze Propeller off EBay. It Really Rips Now!!! Lol. Had to add some weight to the Front Also right off the bat. Great Video as Always Justin!!!
Dude! I'm from Portland too. I will follow your channel.

Why not use 2 magnets - one on the boat and Another on a drone to retrieve the boat?
Great looking boat and very fast.
drop a small sinker in the bow to help the skipping. looks nice for the price if only it had a bit better range.
Good idea for the bow. It could def use some help keeping the nose down at full throttle. Thats an easy fix. Thanks, JD.
at full speed the battery pack gets VERY hot! much more than in my HK500 heli; and the 2200 batt pack is enough only for about 4-5 minutes.
I have a question does your charger blink when you charge your battery
It would be cool to watch it on the water with a quad in the air to get those long range shots and closeups. Nice boat👍
