Timely review for me! I had to toss my 30+ year old Tevas away after my last foreign holiday. Sand and grit stuck in the Velcro finally took its toll and the straps just couldn't stick together anymore despite my best efforts to get them as clean as possible. The Hurricane 4s looked very similar to my old pair (circa 1990) so I bought a pair on clearance, and they just arrived yesterday. They'll be christened in the South Pacific this spring. I hope they hold up and protect my feet as well as my old pair which will always hold a special spot in my heart :)
I have several pairs of Teva sandals. I have the Hurricane XLT, I might have the Hurricane 4, I have several Terra fi sandals. I have at least 50 pairs of Teva sandals. I also love wearing sandals and wear them as much as I can in nice weather. I wear them from mid March till id November daily

Sadly, I don't know because haven't had the Xlt2s. I will soon be putting out a comparison between the 4s and the universals - stay tuned!
