  • Schnellkampfgeschwader 210 (SKG 210) was a Luftwaffe fast-bomber wing during the Second World War. The unit was created in April 1941 and absorbed by the Zerstörergeschwader 1 on 4 January 1942.
One of the most famous of the Messerschmitt Bf110 units, adorned their machines with a very recognisable emblem on the nose of their aircraft. The ‘Wespen Staffel’ as they became known, operated across all fronts during the Second World War, from the arid climate of the North African front to the bleak winter tundra of the Russian front in the winter of 1941, as depicted by this faithful replica. The winter wash was applied to help the normally dark coloured Bf110 blend in better when on operations over a snow covered landscape. However, care was taken to ensure that the winter wash did not encroach upon the elaborate unit markings, or the tactical and unit markings of the aircraft. Used as ground attack machines on the Eastern Front, the Bf110 pilots found the early period of the war on the Eastern Front was to their liking, scoring a large number of ground kills and coming up against weaker fighter opposition. The Bf110 was able to use its strengths and not have its weaknesses exploited to the same extent as on the Western Front. However, as the war progressed, the Bf110 was also found to be a vulnerable machine in the East, so more and more were converted to night fighting tasks.
Seen here in 1:72nd scale diecast by Corgi is the Messerschmitt Bf 110C-4 from SKG 210, Russian Front in 1941. It's an extremely well-made diecast model.

Use of any images or video in any of my reviews is used out of pure respect in regard to units and/or actual people. I wish to acknowledge all those that have served past and present with their respective nations armed forces with some making the ultimate sacrifice. Political ideals aside, it takes great courage and selflessness to answer your countries call.
Thanks again and have a great rest of your day.

I've always been a 110 fan boy, and they do come in some great liveries as they fought on all fronts so you get plenty of options 😉

    Absolutely stunning bird 😅
It looks like the lads started to pain it in snow camo but didn’t finish the job.
Love the grey wings. Such a delight. Thanks for sharing.

You slightly bent one of the propellers getting that out of the box I would recommend pushing in all the tabs around the aircraft that holds it inside the box then you should be able to lift it out without to much trouble just give it a try as it works for me when I get my corgi planes out of there boxes 👍

@@SniperDash Normally they don't give me that much trouble 🤣 the tabs were pretty resistant to stay pushed in. Quite often I have had issues getting them to release, especially WW1 biplanes, haha. Thanks again for checking out the video and commenting 😀👍

What a wonderful model... Bf-110 is one of the most beautiful WWII fighters for me. And unfortunately I don't have the bf-110 model yet... 😭
I don't know which is better, Corgi or HM? Many people write that Corgi is better. You should do a comparison video review.

Both manufacturers do the 110 very well. It will come down to the livery you prefer really. Maybe though some earlier HM ones may not have the swastika, unlike Corgi that always have the correct markings.
