My granddaughter who is only 2 1/2 years old likes to watch me stitch. She sometimes pokes the needle through the fabric. When she gets the chance she is always grabbing my stitching bag and pulling everything out to look at (she doesn’t seem to bother anything else except my books on my bookshelf. She loves books!). I hope she is still interested when she’s old enough to start stitching. Deb, your trip to Italy sounds amazing! Glad to see a video from you on my feed today. I love the Fraktur! She is now 31 and loves the creative process of both cross stitch and quilting and she is a first grade teacher.
Hi Deb and Liz, I am up in Canada but I do follow a couple of UK cross stitchers: Bumble Stitches and Momma Loves you GB. The latter does occasionally list the floss tubes that she likes to follow. I also watch Catepillar cross stitch.
Ahhh, Italy! And those special gifts from hubby are priceless. Glad you enjoyed your visit. (Bologna had GREAT food--your next time!) The camaraderie between you two is so sweet to watch; thanks for sharing your enthusiasm, your expertise, and you encouragements!

Thank you for sharing your wonderful vacation . I love your version of Market Flowers. By the bay is beautiful. A Heart Remembers, amazing. Thank you again Ladies. Tractor.
Liz the pastry you're thinking of is called a Palmier also goes by pigs ear, palm heart or elephant ear. It's a french pastry in a palm leaf or a butterfly shape. (they are so dang good. Light and flaky but so buttery.)
Oh my gosh - you're making me want to go back to Italy. I was there in 2016 and it was like walking through a dream. I agree - the people, the food - the Italians definitely know how to live well. Thanks for sharing your trip. So nice to catch up with you both. Kathy
Love your "travelog" . Just started warmtching you and delighted with your finishes. Luv the needleroll. Dont think you do giveaways to Canada but here it goes. Your finish on the Fraktur piece is simply gorgeous!

I watch the Periwinkle Stitcher in UK. She's just awesome !
Question for Deb......
I admire how you incorporate lovingly gestures with special dates / years into your needlework pieces
? - Since many of your pieces are framed, do you ever take the time to write on the back what those dates refer to, (such as in this video) to document your emotional visions to pass on to future generations?
🌈 Lisa

Happy stitching guys🪡🦋
I loved your recap about your Italy trip. And Chloe's comment about being an old soul. My daughter Cross stitches and quilts and in Middle school she was called an old soul by her teacher. She is now 31 and loves the creative process of both cross stitch and quilting and she is a first grade teacher.
Love Fraktur Flower pattern. So glad to see Deb bringing our her By the Bay pattern! Loved living vicariously on Deb's journey through Italy.
Hi Deb and Liz, I am up in Canada but I do follow a couple of UK cross stitchers: Bumble Stitches and Momma Loves you GB. The latter does occasionally list the floss tubes that she likes to follow. I also watch Catepillar cross stitch.
I’m hoping to visit Italy this year so it was lovely to hear about your trip. Love your fraktur flowers finish ❤

Liz the pastry you're thinking of is called a Palmier also goes by pigs ear, palm heart or elephant ear. It's a french pastry in a palm leaf or a butterfly shape. (they are so dang good. Light and flaky but so buttery.)
Deb, your trip to Italy sounded amazing! I really like the Fraktur pattern, your finish looks great.
Oh my gosh - you're making me want to go back to Italy. I was there in 2016 and it was like walking through a dream. I agree - the people, the food - the Italians definitely know how to live well. Thanks for sharing your trip. So nice to catch up with you both. Kathy
