Thank you for mentioning ethical shelling again! When I was in Sanibel I went into a shell store. Before looking at the shells though I asked the two ladies working there if the shells were ethically taken or(farmed). I left empty handed except for a hat that I needed. I'm happy that you are showing people a better way to collect and sell!
I was horrified to find out that some shells are "harvested" and I know others who have quit making beach decor items because the shells they were buying weren't ethically collected. There is a shell shop on Sanibel that I went into (probably the same one you visited) and my husband and I bought rings and nothing else since I had no idea where the shells came from. I'll be sure to periodically mention this in future videos to keep people informed 🐚 Thanks so much for watching and coming along with me on my beach walk!

I guess for now I have to do it the old fashioned way - I see a shell, I pick it up. 😅It was such a fun morning on the beach. Thank you so much for coming along with me!
I really love watching your walks along the shores of west FLA. Today was amazing. The flats impressive, the fighting conchs, and so much more. Thank you for taking us along.
You can never have too many Florida fighting conchs! I have walked 9 miles lugging a very large bag full of those (most were broken and very old-I use them in sculptures), and I was sad I had to stop picking them up because my bag was full. They are one of my favorite shells. They have such a beautiful variety of patterns and colors. That last one was stunning!
Dana you're speaking my language! I love them too but oy they can be heavy! I was bummed to drag my heavy shell bag around but when I got home and cleaned them up, I was so happy I had grabbed them. So many beautiful patterns, shapes, sizes - I just love everything about them! 🐚
I wish I lived closer and I could come and visit all these beautiful beaches to collect Some shells! It is also one of my favourite hobbies ! Our beaches do not have many shells! Greetings from South Africa 🇿🇦

Hope you have an awesome week too!
Thank you so much for always telling us to be aware of the live critters! I really appreciate that! Love your channel and have learned so much from you!❤️
LOVED watching your shelling on this beach! I only wish there was a way to make the shells you are seeing in slow motion, so we could better see what all is there. Too, when you show us a shell, could you still let us see the others around it while you show the one in your hand at the side? I think this life you lead is a perfectly beautiful life❤️
I have a wonderful life, and I am glad I've chosen to share a little slice of my joy with all! Thank you for this feedback. Perhaps I can shoot things a little different. I do think it would be nice to really see what else is around, other than the shell I choose to concentrate on and pick up. Let me see if I can remember next time I'm out shooting! 🙏🏼
We are headed to Florida in February and I'm counting the days until we can go shelling again! We went shelling at 5am during low tide last February and I was hooked! I started watching your videos then and I've been watching them every week. A lot of the shells we found, I had no idea what they were until I watched your videos. We found some Florida fighting conxhs, banded tulips, spiny jewel boxes and a bunch of olives among other things! My son's favorite was the giant Atlantic Cockle because it was HUGE! Your shelling videos are the best!
When you say "South Beach" do you mean South Marco? I've tried down there but only managed to find goodies at low tide around the jettys. I'm happy to get any other tips I can!
Wow what fabulous finds !! This was a great Island for finding awesome shells. I liked so many of them I can't decide which one was my favorite. I guess the Florida fighting conches, rose colored talons, the flats. Thank you for such a lovely video.

@@SWFBeachLife I can't wait. And I live 5 mins from the beach. Not much shells. More seaweed. I have seen seashells hung in the trees though. We call them prayer or message trees. And you are right...they are beautiful. Here in Nova Scotia we don't get long shelling seasons. We get too hot and too cold (frozen). And I've never seen a sand dollar with holes in it. Cool.
That flat was gorgeous. Nice finds today. I did not see much Nakar though. I would love to have a bunch of Nakar to use in some craft projects. Thanks for taking us with you.
Some of the names of shells escape me....like apple murex. Why apple? So much fun and so relaxing watching and listening to you. Who would of thought I would know the names of ocean dwelling creatures here in the foothills of the Rockies.

Spiny Jewel Box's, Florida Fighting Conch's, Calico Scallops, Olives, Apple Murex, beautiful Cockles, juvenile Turkey Wings, Lightening Welks, Coquina's, some beautiful Jingles, a couple of Rose Petals Tellins, Yellow Prickly Cockles, a couple of Broad Ribbed Cardita's, Florida Prickly Cockles, lots of Kittens Paw (which I just adore) nice colorful piece of a Gaudy Natica, some Eastern Oysters, a BEAUTIFUL Southern Quahog, and a few Sunray Venus's . I additionally found several( around a dozen) of a shell which I have not been able to identify. I also found several pieces of what looks like red and white coral ,but not certain it is in fact coral. This was my 13th time to Sanibel and I was on the hunt! I am generally there in the spring when the shells on the beach are in abundance! Really appreciate your videos and it was by watching your videos that I have been able to identify so many of the shells I found this trip. Love your channel and your adventures.

Aww - thank you so much! I feel like there is still so much more to experience and learn and I can't wait! Thank you for coming along with me on my beach walk!
Marco Island is lovely.
Thank you for raising the issue of ethical harvesting. Great vid!
Thank you!!! 🙏🏼
The starfish heaven!!! I only get broken pieces on our Texas coastline Beautiful haul!
Bummer! Well, here's to hoping that one day you find most if not a whole sand dollar!
Love to go shelling with you virtually! Have to tell you, you’re my favorite! Thanks for filling a hole left by not being able to go to SWF as often as I’d like to! Been over a year and am homesick for the gulf. Blessings and keep those videos coming! 😃
I am so happy I can keep you connected to your happy place! Thank you for coming along with me! 🌴🌊🐚
What an exciting day!
Oh my goodness! That was one of my fave videos so far, even more since we’ll be in that exact place in two weeks, can’t wait!!!
Oh I hope you have fun planning and I hope you have even better luck than I did when you go! 🐚
Such a fun walk!! Thank you! 😎
Great Intro and Perfect PSA about collecting ethically. Stunning Shells on this Walk -- especially the Gaudy Nauticas! And the Giant Shark Eyes -- Absolutely Awesome!
Sometimes I pick the wrong beach on the wrong day, and other days I nail it! It was such a great morning and I was thrilled with all the goodies I found! Thanks for coming along!!!
Don't know how I missed this one! Always great to get my beach fix!!! Hugs from Virginia!
I haven't been to Tigertail in a while and I am itching to get back down there!
Lovely walk on the beach!Thankyou!
Glad you enjoyed it! 🐚
I love watching you walk the beaches. I go a few times a year down to Florida and love collecting shells. After watching your videos I decided to pour out my vase of shell to see if I got good ones and I did. I could even identify them because of watching you.
That's awesome!! I hope the next time you visit Florida you'll be even that much more educated about what you're finding 🤗 Thank you for coming along with me!
Thank You... I needed that. God Bless
JUST otherworldly was it really in FLORIDA, USA ???
You needed a little wagon with bouncy wheels & shocks to stay longer and get more a perfect DAY!
Silvery white sands reflecting HIGH CONTRAST everywhere incredible walk TREASURES..HAPPY JOYOUS feeling watching.
Really appreciate YOU.
Kiss kiss, this gov phone a scam not free......no emojis...
bye bye can still hear the ocean waves.....GOOD DREAMS tonight!
I was wishing there was some sort of "shell detector" like there are metal detectors so I could figure out where the shells are buried and I'd know just where to find them!
You are so very welcome. I love sharing all the beautiful things I get to see on my beach walks and I appreciate you coming along with me!
Jackpot!!!
That king crown was beautiful. You had a lot of beautiful shells🐚. So much fun😊
Yes it was! I definitely picked the right beach to walk on this day! Thanks for coming along!! 🐚
What a fun day. Thanks for sharing every Sunday so I can get my beach 'fix'.
You are so very welcome. Thank you for coming along with me!
Thanks for giving me my beach|shelling fix 😎🐚🌴🌊
You are so very welcome! 🐚
Use to do this every day back when Venice beaches were great
I wish I lived closer and I could come and visit all these beautiful beaches to collect Some shells! It is also one of my favourite hobbies ! Our beaches do not have many shells! Greetings from South Africa 🇿🇦
Hello South Africa! I am so very fortunate to live where I do. I've been inspired by the beauty that surrounds me! I'm glad I can share the beaches, creatures and beauty of Florida USA with you! Thank you very much for coming along on my walk!
Gorgeous, what you find this time again...they are all so amazing, beautiful..I love them all...❤👍🙏🖐
Thanks so much 😊
Great to see the addition of a wee bit of color, those colorful calico scallops and some little pink things. Too bad you didn't have more Florida Fighting Conch's, LOL.
One can never have too many Florida fighting conchs ☺️
Nice haul on this beach trip! I thought all of the sand dollars were awesome... and then your found that BEAUTIFUL flat!! It was gorgeous! As always, I loved the beach time! Thanks for taking us along! Hope you have a great week!
Hi Donna! Oh it was so much fun on the beach that day Wasn't that flat awesome?! I was so happy with all the different goodies I was finding. Too many sand dollars to even carry - they were everywhere! Hope you have a fantastic week!
@@SWFBeachLife Hi Sharmon! YES! That was the most unique and prettiest flat I have ever seen! Congratulations on all the finds but especially that flat! I was in awe of all the whole sand dollars on the beach! I have never seen that many at one time except the the tiny ones that I found a few years ago in Orange Beach. Hope you have an awesome week too!
Thank you so much for always telling us to be aware of the live critters! I really appreciate that! Love your channel and have learned so much from you!❤️
Thanks so much for coming along with me on my beach walks!
So so much beachy goodness indeed in this video 💞
It was a peachy-goodness-bonanza! Hope you are good my dear beach friend!
This was an absolutely fabulous day shelling!!!!! Thank you for sharing! Give anything to be there shelling💕💕🧜♀️
It was so fun! But I picked up too many FFC too early. My shell bag was HEAVY but they were worth it 🐚❤️ Thank you for coming along with me!
Sounds like you were having a blast!
I was!!!
I live here and the shelling is phenomenal like this every day. It’s hard to fathom this 16years later. If Tigertail isn’t loaded, South Beach is.
Someone recently asked me what my favorite shells is - I can't choose just one! There are too many beautiful shells with so many different things to love about them. 🐚❤️ Thank you so much for watching!
Awesome as usual. You really do need one of those wheeled trolleys then you could bring even more home!! Marco looks a dream. Stay safe x
Marco was so fun! It's not as relaxing getting to the beach as some places (it's a very built up area) but the beaches are awesome! Thank you so much for coming along with me!
This is my 1st. Video of yours om gosh I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT!! I will be watching so many more. I love the ocean and everything ocean. All those shells I would of been in heaven literally!! I live in Wisconsin and have never YET been to the ocean. Looking to vacation in Florida sometime soon. Maybe I will visit this beach 😉 Thank you so much for sharing your beach time. Also for letting people know not to remove shells if they're alive. Some people don't know that you shouldn't.
I'm so excited to go watch your video's. Thanks again!
Welcome aboard! I go to a different beach every week and I'll tell you about the weather, the tides, the shells, the critters - whatever is going on that day. If you ever do decide to visit a beach, I hope you come down here. We have so many beautiful areas to explore! I hope you enjoy your time with the content on my channel 🤗
Finally a beach I went to! Found a few of the Florida fighting conch!
Oh my gosh the FFCs I found this day were spectacular! I hope you had as much fun as I did when you were there!
@@SWFBeachLife I did! It was back in April actually and before my visit to this beach I was looking for videos on shelling which is how I got to your channel, and i've been hooked ever since!
Hi my beach friend!
What an amazing haul! It's been a while since you've found so many gorgeous shells. Your shell bag was loaded with goodies!😍
I can totally feel you at 20:40! Really wished I was walking with you at that packed beach full of shells and sand dollars. But thank you for taking me with you on your walk, so I am still able to see all the beachy goodness and enjoy all the stunning finds!
That albino is amazing, but so is the flat. 😍 Think that is my favourite find this time.
Wishing you a wonderful week, filled with lots of sunshine, warmth and gorgeous shells.
Lots of love and a big hug, xoxo ❤, Ilona
It has been a while since I found so many goodies and boy was I a happy sheller! I'm always happy with what I find, but some days are just a bit more fun than others - this was one of those fun days ☺️ It really did seem unfair that I had that beautiful beach to myself with so many shells and sand dollars everywhere. I'm glad I could at least bring you along with me virtually! I hope you have a great week filled with sunshine too! ❤️❤️❤️
I got to spend some time on the beaches in cape cod this weekend and saw my first ever live jingle too. Went home with a big bag of bay scallops and jingles. Thanks for the video!
I feel like it's super rare to see a whole jingle since I have only seen one at this point. That's so funny you saw one too! Hope you had as much fun on your beach as I did on mine 🐚❤️
WOW, I as there the same time. That would have been crazy to see you. It was a great day for shelling as usual.
Aww - sorry we missed each other! If you ever do see me please stop me. I hope you found as much great stuff as I did!
@@SWFBeachLife Yes, we found a lot of great shells. Always fun at Tiger Tail. 🙂
That Flat is gorgeous!
Agreed! 🤗 Very happy with that find 🐚
Loved your video🐚🐚 The kids and I are still on lockdown thanks to covid but I am loving watching you shell🐚🐚
Ugh - I'm so sorry you're on lockdown! I think a bunch of people found me during COVID when they wanted something different or were craving the outdoors. I'm glad I can at least get you to the beach virtually! I hope your lockdown ends soon!
I have been binge watching all your videos and just finished them / now I'm all caught up and can't wait for new beachy goodness, love your channel
I'll go ahead and apologize for the early ones since they're not great, but I'm learning as I go and sharing everything I'm discovering along the way. Next week is going to be fun too - we're headed back to Kice Island and we're going to see tons of beautiful goodies!
Yes that nacre really does scream "make me into something" doesn't it? It's amazing what beautiful creations snails can make!!!
Loved the video! Wish I was walking right next to you finding treasures!
What a treat to watch! Thank you for bringing us along :)
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for coming along!
Beautiful shell’s !!!
Love love love the nutmegs!
Great trip to the beach, thanks
Glad you enjoyed it!
Just got back from my beach trip in Anna Maria… got some amazing shells I’m jealous🤣🤣
Tigertail Beach was very good to me that day! 🐚
Some of the names of shells escape me....like apple murex. Why apple? So much fun and so relaxing watching and listening to you. Who would of thought I would know the names of ocean dwelling creatures here in the foothills of the Rockies.
There was another person who commented about learning the shell names and they too were landlocked. I don't know what it is about these things but I just want to know what their names are! Apple murex - why apple? That is a fantastic question and I am going to try to find out!
WOW what an AAAAAAAMazing haul!! I just bot back from Sanibel myself (was there from (9/15-9/20)and brought a very nice collection back home to California.
Wow! It sounds like you found about one of everything - that's wonderful! And so happy you are able to identify your shells too! I've only found white coral down here, but it's always possible you found some that was discolored. There are so many interesting things to check out on the beach. Thank you so much for coming along with me!
