  • A quick sled bump up the Loveland Glacier in Thompson Pass, Alaska on pretty good visibility day. Played hooky from work on a Wednesday 4-10-2024 to hit it up after a fresh dusting of pow. We did about three runs before we moved on to other locations. Loveland starts at about 2,300ft. (700m) elevation and the ridge we top out at is about 5,000ft. (1500m). It is located about 30 miles east of Valdez, Alaska. This winter was a snowy one up in the pass, while Valdez got about 300 inches in town, the pass received about double that. April was a great month. Looking forward to next year!
