- The first documented use of Russian 9K129-series Kornet ATGM system by Ukraine. Multiple missiles for the modern & potent system been captured by Ukrainian Forces. The Kornet system boasts of day/night thermal sight with 12x/20x zoom capability. Greater zoom than provided by the U.S. Javelin’s unit, which only goes up to 12x. Guidance is achieved with a laser beam, which the missile rides onto the target.

The US equivalent to Kornet is the TOW II. The javelin is not an ATGM
And the javlin is Swedish now American lol

Tow 11 is wire guided like the French Antack
Kornet missle more powerfull and 4 times cheaper then a javelin missle. But kornet system is much harder to carry and its missles have a much slower velocity. Even though the javelin system is overrated, it still seems easier to use and probably more efficient due to its mobility, but again, its ammunision is a lot more expensive, and thus, not affordible to most countries.
Javelin isn't overrated, it has done a very good job against russian tanks since the start of the war, even forcing Russia to use older and outdated tanks like the T-62.

As for the t62s, I really see no reason to keep t80s-90s for strictly ocuppied city militia duties. And to be honest, I also heard the t62 stories, but havent even seen any active t62s in Ukraine. In any case, I do believe the Javelin is an incredible piece of engineering.

it's not better. The Ukrainians build their own AGTM system, which looks like the Kornet but is domestically produced with some bells and wisthles (particularly the remote launch so the soldier does not have to sit at the launch point like an idiot).
Ukraine's Stugna is "better" than Javelin or Kornet because cheaper and more readily available to them.

Enough said, that's all that I want to know in order to determine that it's a POS. What about when it is foggy and your laser can't get through the fog and scatters? How about in heavy rain? I'd rather have a fire-and-forget like the Javelin, not one where I have to keep a beam on the target until it hits. I also prefer the top-down attack of the Javelin.

Javelin Is lot better, remember, Cornet is still using 2nd Gen Guidance Technique I.e Wire Guided Seeker. and the US Javelin Is using IR seeker, a generation head Guidance seeker, Cornet has only Straight Attack mod, and Javelin Comes with multi Attack modes. in simple Javelin is generation ahead from Cornet.
The goal is to kill, and they both can, it's not a question of which one is better
