I think this might be the amiga version. The giveaway is the fancier Chrome looking font in the title screen. The chained creatures in the upper corners are also monochrome pre amiga. And amiga used tracker format which is a type of MIDI style format that you could easily export and edit and was very space efficient.
hmm could be - maybe those graphic changes made their way into the version I was looking at. I'm sure they blended together at some point. My knowledge of mod / midi is definitely not my forte, so thanks for the extra context!
yeah it might be after all. These came from a collection of MIDI files, so it's possible at some point they were converted from tracker (or whatever format) on C64 into MIDI - thanks!!
I don’t think this is an “official” PC version. From what I’m reading, the original Mockingboard music from the Apple II was never even converted to Tandy 3-voice. That means all music in the PC version is from a fan made patch that retroactively added Apple II music. No this isn’t AdLib. It sounds like a Tandy 3-voice adaptation. Honestly, this MIDI adaptation is probably the most “authentic” PC version of the Ultima IV soundtrack: ruclips.net/video/BRbxXtFqbtI/видео.html

Isn't this the C64 version? Not Apple II

That instrument is definitely a SID sound, and not a midi patch, uneless it was derived from a SID recording.
PC - That means this is AdLib version?

@@MordacksOrgan Right. AdLib came out in '87 and it took a few years until it got popular.
Isn't Towne the tune that eventually became Stones? It sounds familiar.
