Just a killer find. Your buddy scored big time! She's in super good shape to. Crazy how just that one quarter panels has rust but the rest is all good. I wonder if something got on it at one time. Those headlights lit up reminded me of Christine lol. She's one badass rides good luck to your friend hopefully he keeps it and drives the hell out of it. Take it easy brother 👍🏻
I had a pink '58 series 62 sedan back almost 50 years ago in this same color. Coral may have been Cadillac's name for it. I've seen many other 58s in this same color, apparently it was popular in this era.
I have my parents 58 cadillac series 62 sedan. They bought it in 1960 from a Doctor friend of theirs. I was 1 year old. It's Prestwick gray. A dark gray, with a 2 tone silver interior. It has power windows, wonderbar radio, power antenna, and rare FACTORY AC. Grew up with this car. Mom gave it to me in 1982. Lifelong Southern California car, its in good shape, and on the road.😊
i got one too. that starter sounds sooo familiar. everybody goes bat-shit for the '59's, but i like the 58's best...so much chrome. mine was a shed-find years ago...green Fleetwood. the CdV is super sporty...the coral is nice. get ready for people to go nuts over it when you get it on the road. i'd say, fix the rust and whatever is broken, and then enjoy it. my rear floor plans are pretty thin, but the rest is just a great look with 65 years of use on it, so i drive as-is...pretty close to same shape as this pink one
Enjoyed the video, but it could have been better if you didn't cover the last and only proper run of the engine with loud music so we couldn't hear it.
Good job, those could be problematic if you left them for 4 months when they were new! They were notorious for having electrical leaks. They needed to be driven and love to be driven! The 58s were my favorites of all of the Cadillacs. My Great Grand Dad drove a Fleetwood, and my Great Grand Mother had the Eldorado Brougham. Both were ordered from GM in gunmetal with white tops. Funny story: They moved into a brand new house, and the first week, my great-grandmother poked two holes in the front of the garage with her dagmar bumpers! Even after giving up driving, she ensured they were kept in excellent condition. Most people probably don't remember, but you had to fill them up with "Ethyl," which was premium leaded gas. They must have gotten something like 8 blocks to the gallon!
Find some General Motors keys, olds, chevy, Pontiac rear deck or ignition. I had a Pontiac, my dad had an olds. My key worked in his olds ignition! Give a few a try!
Mr. B. Here ! 👀😎👍. I have a 1958 super 88 and wish my looked like that ! If that where mind I would clean it up and put it back to OEM . 🎄☃️❄️🎄☃️❄️. Merry Christmas!
That's an awesome find! Awesome to see that it started right up.
Agreed brother
Man that's just the best feeling to get an old one running again. Good work!!!!
It definitely is. This one didn't take much. He definitely lucked out.
I have a 56 chevy. My friend bought a 39 chevy coupe for an old lady. My key fit the 39! He was happy!
