I got a rare steal of a deal on eBay! Vintage craftsman in mint condition! Link to my eBay page if you are interested in the wrenches - www.ebay.com/u...
I can’t sell my Craftsman sets for $20 on offer-up or ratchets set of 3 1/2,3/8&1/4 for $40 there’s so much craftsman around that no one pay attention to them. I been to state sales with 100’s of craftsman tools
Another good little haul as usual ... I have Tekton 1/4'' & 3/8'' drive 6 point socket sets and really like them ... And of course Craftsman tools as well ... Keep em coming ... Thx ...
Tekton almost reminds me of a modern day Craftsman. They have a really good warranty and make really good tools for the money. I was actually using some Tekton sockets with a buddy today. He has a set of 3/8 Tekton and they really are nice tools.
Yea it really does feel like cheating. There’s nothing better than finding a great vintage tool in a bucket of junk at a yard sale. eBay is too easy. Never the less, this wrench set was a pretty good deal for eBay.
Ebay is both a blessing and a curse, sometimes you can find a great deal, but often I find people trying to sell junk for top dollar because "that's what they're selling for on Ebay" Wobbly universal joints, I know them all too well. Quick field tip, wrap it with electrical tape, shop tip, find a piece of hose that will fit over it. Buy your way out of it, a spring-loaded universal joint. The old Craftsman wrenchs always hit me strong with nostalgia. When I was a kid, trips to the mall to get tools to fix bicycles, it was always a tough choice for me though, 1 mile one way mall, 1 mile the other way Snap-On, with an auto parts store that had a rack of SK tools behind the counter, along the way. And here I am 40 years later, still fixing bicycles on the side, blowing all my money on tools. So, are you going to get the black box 1/4" drive set too? And do you even want to know about the 3/8 and 1/2 sets, not to mention the multi drive size sets from the same era? Or will you be sticking with the 1/4" drive metric and getting the different generations of that set?
The universal is a good one in my opinion. Second only to snap on. The roll pin is forged and can be replaced. In fact I’ve repaired cheaper ones with roll pins. The older style and snap on ones don’t have the slop the cheaper ones have and just are a way better design in my opinion An advantage to a set of box and a set of open is you can have two wrenches of the same size if you need (one open one boxed) and you can carry less than if you carried two sets of combination wrenches to accomplish the same thing.
Yea that’s true. Good set to have in the truck because especially when you do the random service work that I do, you never know when you will need two of the same size wrench.
This has nothing to do with this video, but I went to Home Depot yesterday and walked past the Husky pliers you hated, I stopped and looked and kinda laughed and thought to myself, I hate those too. 😀 I actually do like husky tools though but I thought it was funny
I don’t know why but people say that a lot. When I type it in, it always pops up, but a lot of people say it doesn’t. Let me try and figure out how to make a link for it.
Good stuff,iv used mine for 40 years and like new today.its all in taking care of them and they will last forever.
Them wrenches u got are nice made in pre 1940 they don't even have a serial number yet

Nice video!! I got a set of those box end wrenches they're amazing.
I love those box wrenches too. They are probably my most used wrenches. Thanks bud!
I hear ya on Ebay being “cheating”- it’s skipping the deal-hunting part and going straight to the end, which is most of the fun

I’ll pick up whatever I can get. If I find a 3/8 or 1/2 set in good condition I’ll snag that up too!

That 1/4" Craftsman set is real handy. Hopefully the plastic hinge holds up. Mine broke
I really only use that set in the shop so I think it will hold up. I treat that set with lots of care 😂
2 weeks ago i picked up a VV open end 7 pc Metric set off ebay 38$, I think i bid on your set and lost! Good Find.
It was just a buy now price of 24 bucks including shipping. Pretty good deal! Even for 38 it’s still a great set.
Wow nice pick up
Thanks bud!
