Part of my teen years. Sad to see it go! My kids will never know what the mall was like in the 1980's. I remember Hess's well. Thanks for posting for posterity! We will miss BAM too!

I grew up going here with my mother and sister. This is the first summer in my 20 years where I won't go to this mall. I remember going roughly 10 years ago and eating at the Friendly's, Dick's Sporting Goods being a main entrance at the mall, going on the Merry-Go-Round, Gamestop, and being most excited for the massive Target across the Lycoming Crossing. Sad to see it go. Thank you for giving this place one final look.

Susquehanna Valley Mall is still in operation and not doing too shabby, all things considered. Is it what it once was? No. That being said, all the anchors currently have tenants and weekends do still get busy.

man, you know things are wrapping up for good when the bath and body works has packed up and left. it always seems like the last store to cling to a dying mall.
the sign appreciating the mall walkers was touching though; usually management doesn't like to acknowledge them.
not a bad looking mall, no signs of obvious decay or neglect...just a victim of internet shopping, maybe population decline in the area? when a mall is this empty it makes me wonder where everyone who visited/worked there during its heyday is. its the passage of time really that makes these old mall videos so poignant. things disappear, people disappear...
    thanks for the video!

It's so weird seeing this. I remember going there as a kid in the 80s and loved going to the arcade getting an orange Julius and a slice of capri pizza.

In 2012 this place was still popular with all the oilfield workers. Now its done. Damn. Iwe use to stop here every now and than on our way up to deer camp in Tioga. And when i worked in the gas fields i use to to come here just to get out and walk around.

I grew up shopping at this mall. Now I practice driving a car with a standard transmission in its large empty parking lots, forever cognizant of the fertile and beautiful farmland that this monstrosity ate up, only to be totally useless in under a half century later.

All those malls had outrageous prices. That never helped them. I bought very little in those places.

Worked at both cvs and sears back in the day. As a young person great place to hang out in the winter months and get food and socialize. Never thought I'd live long enough to see it go. What a waste. Strip malls are a joke in my opinion. Sorry

Why hasn't anyone gutted these empty malls and turned them into apartments?
