Anyone who actually wrestled at higher level knows there is only one thing in your head is to win by any means necessary. There is a whole part of Judo that no one is talking about. It’s just if you get caught. But after the fight, back to normal smiles and hugs. Very rare you wrestle a friend. But you dislike whole bunch of guys you wrestle at various tournaments. You know from experience which one is dirty and sometimes you have to use the same tricks on those guys. You also know which buttons to push. SAMBO is better in that regards. Not because the element any better, is just hard to hide dirty trick like you can with loose Gi.
A big deal is made about not shaking hands with Izraelis, but no one remembers when Azerbaijani Rustam Orujov refused to shake hands with Armenian Ferdinand Karapetian, after loosing the European Finals back in 2018.
It's so painful watching such a disrespectful level of judo. If I wanted to watch egomaniacs on steroids I'd watch MMA. Please tell me these aren't Olympic-level competitions. Deeply disappointing.
