It's not that good, but I honestly didn't think of this game highly when I started watching (I didn't see a demo of this game, so I had not even a slight idea of what was going to happen), so it didn't leave me dissatisfied.
I noticed at 2:15:36 that you can actually see the chief, Dutch, and Comerdy from the sniper's view. I wonder if there is anything special that happens if you shoot one of them.
I'm not too happy with the writing of this game. I think the last fight shouldn't be done with a sniper rifle. If Comardy was supposed to be the one fighting the being, it's not thematic for him to use the sniper rifle. (As the pistol is Comardy's weapon thematically.) It might be an "epic fight", but it's pointless because Comardy just gets possessed in the end anyway. And no, Comardy _isn't_ the Sniper Killer, as much as there are certain things implying he might still be, because we have multiple proofs that supports Comardy not being the Sniper Killer: 1. Dutch and Comardy were in a car chase against the Sniper Killer, and Dutch checked in on Comardy in the end, this means Comardy WAS in the car with Dutch, chasing after a real car; 2. Dutch didn't go "wait, isn't this your place?" Occam's razor would say, there WAS a Jeffery, it was where Jeffery was living, Jeffery was the Sniper Killer, and the man Comardy killed in the end _was_ Jeffery (instead of, say, the house was Comardy's, and a home intruder just happens to be there and grabbed the sniper rifle); 3. We see Comardy with the Sniper Killer's perspective during the parade. It could be a trick, yes, but with the above two, I think it makes more sense to simply say, no, it was not a trick. Jeffery really did see Comardy with the other police officers there. Maybe the last fight wasn't done by Comardy, you might say. Well, since Comardy was the one who blanked out, it makes sense to think that the fight was in fact done by Comardy. Why would Jeffery fight the being, anyway? He didn't have a reason to doubt the walkie-talkie, and he also didn't show any signs of doubt during his missions. So, it makes more sense to say Comardy was the one who fought the being in the end. Either way, I'm unhappy with this game's writing. I feel like the dev used too many misdirections ("Maybe the Sniper Killer is just crazy", "Maybe the Sniper Killer ISN'T crazy", "Maybe Comardy is the Sniper Killer", "Oh wait, maybe Comardy ISN'T the Sniper Killer (but maybe he still is! Or not!)", "Maybe Comardy was going crazy", "No wait, maybe it WAS supernatural"), so it just feels like cheating to me. Like the dev isn't here to tell a story, the dev is just here to make sure we guess the plot wrong. Yes, there WERE hints... but there were also too many anti-hints/misdirections. I'm not saying stories shouldn't use any misdirections. Just that the dev used _too many_ here, and instead of feeling "Oh wow, that was brilliant!" I just feel... cheated and dissatisfied. And I wager I'm not the only one feeling dissatisfied/miffed about the story. But, sigh, feel free to disagree. I probably won't reply to any disagreements. I think people will either get pissed because of the misdirections, or be completely fine with it (or feel like it was the appropriate amount of misdirections), and thus it makes no sense to them why I'm complaining so hard about what seems to be perfectly fine/completely reasonable to them. For what it's worth though, I do think this game was good in general. It's just the writing in this game. I actually liked the dev's other games too, with no problem whatsoever about them.
I'm so glad someone put what I was feeling into words so I don't have to write the essay 😂. Yeah, I completely skipped the boss fight cause it was so out of left field it felt like they just put it in for no reason. It doesn't even make any sence.
Tbh, this game sometimes feels like the dev ran out of ideas and started just putting things that they found interesting, even though they didn't make sense in the story.
@@matissimoj1190 I think it's the fixation to be "unpredictable". The plot would have been fine (IMO) without the supernatural element... There were so little build up for a supernatural story that it felt like switch and bait instead. I actually felt the scenarios were pretty cool, UNTIL it decided to go full supernatural with an ending fight that doesn't make sense.
19:16 Always liked how some of the games have a common continuity with its setting, also just makes you realize how many killers are on the loose in that place.
17:38 Calling it now: Sniper was at some point a real gov. agent but their comms lines got hijacked. EDIT AT 30:42 Jeff is his real handler trying to re-establish contact. Alternately: Actual gov. just lying to him about his targets. 2:27:17 Okay apparently no answer on that part? 2:29:07 Ah. I was actually hoping it wasn't that at all.
@@blternative Was genuinely hoping that the sniper was gonna have zero connection to any other characters and all Manly's trying to figure who it is was gonna just be waste really. That for once a story like this would genuinely not give a rat's rear about some big reveal of the sniper's identity.
@@youtubeuniversity3638I don't think that's it at all. The end was very confusing but it honestly feels impossible that the detective is the sniper. The car chase sequence, the fact that they confirmed he shot someone dead in that cabin (through D.Dutch) and that the motel clerk didn't recognize him despite presumably being there just hours before
This game makes good use of sniping. Instead of a team PVP where everyone is a real person constantly paranoid about snipers, NPCs who act as if snipers aren't even on their minds and need to see someone's body to get worried.
Anyone who defends snipers in PvP should have their opinions discarded. Not _everything_ is subjective in these matters, it's objectively unfun to have to constantly worry about snipers in a game, and just get instantly beamed from across the map with no recourse. It might be fun to do it yourself, sure, but nobody likes being on the receiving end. Especially in a game where you go around spending a lot of time looting things, having to painstakingly find weapons and ammo in the first place, only to have hours of progress instantly taken from you by a guy a mile away who you have literally zero defense against and have no way of even knowing about until you're already dead. Snipers in PvP are a game design failure. End of discussion. The one and only exception I would make is a low stakes game where snipers are the entire point of the game, but that's not how they're implemented. I think their presence even increases the amount of cheaters a game has, because it's an ideal weapon for them to use.
@@WyxianGames Honestly even just designing out the assumption that snipers deserve instakill megachaining would at least mitigste things some. Longer delays between shots, less control over if you do in fact get the oneshot off, some way to bounce the bullet back, anything that defies the expectation that there exists a level of skill that justifies someone wiping half the enemy team in too short a timespan for the most anti-Snipers characters that aren't also Snipers too to retaliate agsinst in some way.
I wish my reactions to getting jumpscared were immediately shooting a firearm while saying "no!" in lowercase. You owned it as always, and it was fun to watch you play
'The killer is a spectacular shot, almost uncanny' --- proceeds to fill the alleyway full of lead, unable to hit Gail until he catches her point blank.
Excellent game, it really kept me invested in what was going on. Especially the intro where you think you're playing as the new MCs (the journalist in trainings) only for that to be proven wrong quick
I hate when they make such a good build up and they throw it all away with supernatural stuff. Not the first time they make this and it really just dissappoints me every time, like, you cant just throw supernatural stuff at the end for the sake of it, kt would've been better if it had a plot twist or some ending that connected all the strings at the end, like in bloodwash. We were left with a lot of unsolved questions like the men in black, the tape, the evidence was practically useless, the radio, freezer and at the end you just shoot Jeff and he dies just like that even tho he was the important guy they were chasing, it had no kick or nothing to it. Sad to see such a cool game and concept get thrown away just for sake of bad writting
The supernatural stuff could’ve worked if they managed to integrate it more into the story, make the audience wonder if people are just seeing thing, but when the sniper opens up the box and gets jumpscared, we realize that it’s real, and when comardy enters that house and encounters the manikins, someone mentions that the building had a gas leak or hallucinogens.
Spoiler warning. That was extremely unsatisfying right? Like, all this mystery and no resolution because he was just a pawn in some monsters game that learn nothing about and now comardy is catatonic and he might become the next killer or something? Just so unsatisfying especially when it jarringly switches to a sniper fight with the monster. I hope there’s a sequel that makes this make sense
Your videos are absolutely Wonderful and make my day watching even though you hardly talk and when you do it’s not much emotion it makes the game so much more Real and relaxing, thank you for these videos
Wow, I remember when you played the demo for this; that was a long time ago... huh, didn't think about how long I've been watching your videos until now
So my understanding of the ending (I mentioned it in a reply already. SPOILERS obviously) The sniper section at the end is a perspective shift. Its not Comerdy, its Sniper Killer (who both is and isn't Jeff) after Jeff died. Sniper Killer is some sort of split personality or soul inside Jeff. Both Sniper Killer and the Monster are fighting for control over the body. The neighbor and the worms were like the monster's avatars. This is what it really meant when he went around spraying bugs. Sniper was keeping the monster out. Jeff was also trying to stop the monster but was just too weak. It didn't change anything. The monster acts as Sniper's handler in order to exhibit some control but he can only suggest what he does. It controls through suggestion. That's why all the killers have different motives and methods. This is the explaination for the arbitrary rules to the later killings. Its trying to control Sniper in subtle ways. When Comerdy kills Jeff he becomes the next killer cause that's how it works in-universe. But in the afterlife Sniper Killer kills the monster, thus becoming the new monster. The "avatars" (the neighbor and the worms) are replaced by Sniper's walkie talkie and bullet casing at the end of the game because its how Sniper communicates. The hallucinations Comerdy sees are either intentional or accidental red herrings. The monster was possibly priming Comerdy to kill Jeff but it evidentally happened too soon and backfired. The monster seems to "fish" for new killers. That's why the weird guy and other people know about the "neighbor". The monster probably picked Comerdy because it could foster his obssession with catching killers. Its a good excuse for picking targets and makes Comerdy and Sniper Killer a perfect pair. Sniper was killing threats to national security from his persepective. So Comerdy's targets will be "killers" and threats to society. Also this seemingly takes place before Ding Dong Dead because Dr Pleasant hasn't gone mad yet trying to stop the evil. Comerdy probably isn't the killer in that game but 1 before him maybe. I'm not totally sure.
So you were right that they’re all connected in the same universe, cause they also mentioned the womb ripper from bloodwash and you can’t forget the creepy guy who is in every game. It’s so most definitely they have to be all connected and one universe
Spoiler: I was thinking that it's refreshing that it's not a played out "you're the killer" ending, but the ending being a cut to black, followed by a late "NOW you're the killer" was super lame. Otherwise a really dope game with a cool concept!
idk i didnt really like the ending, its almost like they try to subvert the 'expected' ending too much (it was the cop the whole time) it would have been better if it was more ambiguous in my opinion or more confirmation that the cop is an unreliable narrator.
the voice acting in this game was phenomenal. Everyone was great. Jeff's voice was my favorite, his voices sounds sexy ngl, I hope he voice acts in an otome game ;)
Fun game, idk how to feel about that ending but appreciate the cameos. Peepaw ain’t the only weirdo in his family and Dr. Pleasant is still dealing with the crazies.
The buildup was insane, the ending, not so much, either way i enjoyed watching the 2 and a half hours of video, even if it left me a sour taste in my mouth.
Was I the only one who hoped it wasn't the "OH COMARDY AND SNIPER KILLER ARE THE SAME" I was rolling my eyes at the idea tbh. Like... too many movies, shows, and games have done that TO DEATH.
Ngl this game's ending was all over the place. It pivots to being supernatural with little buildup and doesnt bother connecting any of the loose ends together. A lot of people are saying Jeffrey is the Sniper Killer but nothing really points to that at all outside of a couple voice messages (which could just be another misdirection like how the Comardy call and cigarette pack were). Most of the game is pretty good and I loved it but it feels like they didn't really know how to wtite the ending to this.
This game was interesting to watch, even if that ending wasn't great. I would have preferred an actual killer psycho without supernatural monsters. 1:47:53 and 2:11:20: I suspected that the detective couldn't be the killer instead (except for plot holes), because the hotel receptionist met both and didn't recognize them.
The ending is like if you quit the game before the ending and went to a completely different games ending and took that ending as the ending of the original game you were on.

1. Dutch and Comardy were in a car chase against the Sniper Killer, and Dutch checked in on Comardy in the end, this means Comardy WAS in the car with Dutch, chasing after a real car;
2. Dutch didn't go "wait, isn't this your place?" Occam's razor would say, there WAS a Jeffery, it was where Jeffery was living, Jeffery was the Sniper Killer, and the man Comardy killed in the end _was_ Jeffery (instead of, say, the house was Comardy's, and a home intruder just happens to be there and grabbed the sniper rifle);
@@star22sally67 And I'm glad someone agrees with me lol.
Tbh, this game sometimes feels like the dev ran out of ideas and started just putting things that they found interesting, even though they didn't make sense in the story.
who is jeffery?
@@matissimoj1190 I think it's the fixation to be "unpredictable". The plot would have been fine (IMO) without the supernatural element... There were so little build up for a supernatural story that it felt like switch and bait instead.
I actually felt the scenarios were pretty cool, UNTIL it decided to go full supernatural with an ending fight that doesn't make sense.
the voice acting in this game really make everything very immersive, bravo
Damn the voice acting in this is absolutely crazy. It's like, too good for the game honestly.
It's a wasted on something with horrible writing as this sh-tty game.
19:16 Always liked how some of the games have a common continuity with its setting, also just makes you realize how many killers are on the loose in that place.
spoiler/ Can’t believe I watched a feature length psychological horror film for it to be Jeff the Killer
Yeah the ending was just... Dumb
The car chase sequence, the fact that they confirmed he shot someone dead in that cabin (through D.Dutch) and that the motel clerk didn't recognize him despite presumably being there just hours before
@@wl4316Something tells me the story was rewritten near the middle due to some plot holes or something of the matter
As I read this I felt like I received your same disappointment in reap time 😅😂
I love when I recognize VAs in indie games way outside of where I'd usually hear em! (also great video as per the usual)
"We squash beef in the sheets, not the streets" I'm ded >__
Sniper Killer got you huh?
I think Jay from the kubz scouts voiced that dude
This game makes good use of sniping.
Instead of a team PVP where everyone is a real person constantly paranoid about snipers, NPCs who act as if snipers aren't even on their minds and need to see someone's body to get worried.
Lonewolf live reaction
Hot take:
Snipers do not belong in a PvP setting.
@@Pinkooru Shhh, the "well, actually" crowd will hear you!
Longer delays between shots, less control over if you do in fact get the oneshot off, some way to bounce the bullet back, anything that defies the expectation that there exists a level of skill that justifies someone wiping half the enemy team in too short a timespan for the most anti-Snipers characters that aren't also Snipers too to retaliate agsinst in some way.
dutch seemed like a nice guy. working with and now checking up on him.
Manly, you are the backbone of me surviving sitting all day at work. Pls live forever
He is an immortal being older then time itself. I think we will be set for life on gold content!
I wish my reactions to getting jumpscared were immediately shooting a firearm while saying "no!" in lowercase. You owned it as always, and it was fun to watch you play
Honestly the writing and voice acting is great, its super campy but in a really fun/funny way and not in a cringe way. bravo game bravo
'The killer is a spectacular shot, almost uncanny' --- proceeds to fill the alleyway full of lead, unable to hit Gail until he catches her point blank.
53:00 I know that voice anywhere! Its that DUDE
😂😂 yeah sounds like the homie
I thought I was crazy for thinking it was Jay! I havent watched that guy in years so sick to see him do voicework now.
i knew that voice sounded familiar!!
SO IM NOT INSANE GOT IT
Who?
Who else actually laughed at Manly's "suck it up!" at the crying vampire?
Me! Bleh! Bleh! Bleh! 🧛♀️🤣
Manly has great jokes :)
Perfect timing, been waiting for this full playthrough! Thank you Manly!
Excellent game, it really kept me invested in what was going on. Especially the intro where you think you're playing as the new MCs (the journalist in trainings) only for that to be proven wrong quick
The ending could be better. Dutch's "that theory sucks." saves it for me.
It's 6:30am, still dark and misty outside, 2 hours until my shift, Manly posts a video. Bliss.
It’s 5:20 here
2a.m. now wherever the hell I'm at.
A cozy 2am video for me
It's 9-10pm at the time of upload (mountain time)
Finally, waited for the full version for so long.
Same here.
same, were you as disappointed as I was ?
@@simonspooder197 About what?
This is why most indie games are a complete waste.
@@dividedstatesofamerica2520you have to yap under every comment for no reason.
"We want our mommy"
"Everyone does"
real shi
"GHOSTS DOESN'T HAVE MOMMIES"
"we wwnt our mommy"
BOO hoo
"We want our mommy"
"I want your mommy too"
Despite everything at least his house is cleaner than Asmongolds
Asmongold has cleaned his house.
@@Angelo-tp3xghe's still a dirty little goblin though.
After the Detective killed the Sniper, he became the replacement, becoming brainwashed, still hunting the Sniper Killer
And the whole cork board piecing the mystery together and the men in black amounts to jack shit.
And jeff on the tape recorder? Wtf were they thinking
Was wondering for so long why the store clerk sounded familiar, can’t believe the sphere hunter is in this game.
I listened again, your right.
I have been noticing she has been in a lot of things lately.
Your videos are absolutely Wonderful and make my day watching even though you hardly talk and when you do it’s not much emotion it makes the game so much more Real and relaxing, thank you for these videos
1:16:25 one of those rare time manly gets jumpscared I think
1:35:37 pov ur a c7 vertebrae feeling the evening breeze for the first time
Played this myself today. The Creepy Guy jumpscare legit got me.
Wow, I remember when you played the demo for this; that was a long time ago... huh, didn't think about how long I've been watching your videos until now
So my understanding of the ending (I mentioned it in a reply already. SPOILERS obviously)
The sniper section at the end is a perspective shift.
Wait that makes sense then. If that's so then the supernatural twist makes sense
So you were right that they’re all connected in the same universe, cause they also mentioned the womb ripper from bloodwash and you can’t forget the creepy guy who is in every game. It’s so most definitely they have to be all connected and one universe
This is quite the engaging narrative and I love the voice acting. Great work, Puppet Combo!
Spoiler:
I was thinking that it's refreshing that it's not a played out "you're the killer" ending, but the ending being a cut to black, followed by a late "NOW you're the killer" was super lame. Otherwise a really dope game with a cool concept!
Dang this was a WILD ride 🎉 i actually LOVED how this went down. Great pacing, fun VAs, sick lore- and of course EPIC SNIPING

This could've been an interesting game with a good story. Just dropped the ball at the end.
In the hands of someone like Sam Lake, this would be legendary. In the hands of some half wit indie dev/fan fiction writer, not so much.

idk i didnt really like the ending, its almost like they try to subvert the 'expected' ending too much (it was the cop the whole time) it would have been better if it was more ambiguous in my opinion or more confirmation that the cop is an unreliable narrator.
I've been waiting so long for the full playthrough this game's soundtrack is fire
the voice acting in this game was phenomenal. Everyone was great. Jeff's voice was my favorite, his voices sounds sexy ngl, I hope he voice acts in an otome game ;)
Let’s gooo love when you play puppet combo games
Fun game, idk how to feel about that ending but appreciate the cameos. Peepaw ain’t the only weirdo in his family and Dr. Pleasant is still dealing with the crazies.
2:29:43 so what you're saying is that he's... Jeff the killer?
Another long Manly let's play? It's starting to feel more like Christmas than Halloween 🎃 🎄 ❤
The buildup was insane, the ending, not so much, either way i enjoyed watching the 2 and a half hours of video, even if it left me a sour taste in my mouth.

This is such an interesting story and gameplay i haven’t seen something like this in a while. Props to the dev for such a good game!!!
Was I the only one who hoped it wasn't the "OH COMARDY AND SNIPER KILLER ARE THE SAME" I was rolling my eyes at the idea tbh. Like... too many movies, shows, and games have done that TO DEATH.
0:25 She's talking about that VA gig
I think she was very happy with the va gig because working with awesome people is fun. 😂
Suzi Hunter voicing the desk clerk is so goood
Ngl this game's ending was all over the place. It pivots to being supernatural with little buildup and doesnt bother connecting any of the loose ends together. A lot of people are saying Jeffrey is the Sniper Killer but nothing really points to that at all outside of a couple voice messages (which could just be another misdirection like how the Comardy call and cigarette pack were). Most of the game is pretty good and I loved it but it feels like they didn't really know how to wtite the ending to this.
The neighbor you're thinking of is the one from 'Home Improvement', but to your credit, the fictional show the main guy stars in is 'Tool Time'
1:08:18 those flying teeth and eyes really did it 😂😂😂

This game was interesting to watch, even if that ending wasn't great.
I would have preferred an actual killer psycho without supernatural monsters.
1:47:53 and 2:11:20: I suspected that the detective couldn't be the killer instead (except for plot holes), because the hotel receptionist met both and didn't recognize them.
Certified sniper killer moment, now, with feeling (and maybe minor emotion)

The ending is like if you quit the game before the ending and went to a completely different games ending and took that ending as the ending of the original game you were on.

there's something funny about him rotating like that, and not even having a centered origin lmao ;-;
