The awning design looks like it would funnel a lot of rain back onto the tent if you didn't have the poles set so low - does it leak into the tent if the awning is angled up instead?
southisup since this vid we have installed the middle poles and rods on the awning, so no problems with rain gathering on the awning and washing back upon the tent. I'm 6' tall and with the awning properly deployed I don't have to duck .
Hmmm, terrible review? I'd like to see that.. last spring we spent 5 weeks out west, from Big Bend thru Grand Staircase,, driving rain, high winds, blowing sand & in the high teens at night... we broke one cinch strap buckle while attempting to set the tent up in gusts of 40 to 50 mph,, my fault, we should have waited for the winds to die down..... we've been overland camping now for a few decades and I'm confident this tent will last a couple of decades..

I seen a terrible review of this tent and I'm just about to pull the trigger on a used one . how would this stand to driving rain
