I remember back when this set was streamed, everybody expected big room drops and heavy bass and kept hating in the comments, but Avicii brought one of the best livesets and subsequent albums of all time. Back then nobody got it though. But its success would show in the coming weeks.
I was in the crowd for this set and I can tell you now. People were coming and leaving left and right. I personally have loved Avicii since his starting days so I stuck through it. I’ll admit I wasn’t blown away but I definitely did still appreciate the performance he put on. Funny enough, Addicted To You stayed stuck in my head the weeks after and I still tell myself what a lucky SOB I am to have been able to see this set and more years after. Until his last one in 2016. Super bittersweet.
Because we're living in world of spoilt brats, who are not enjoying music only some bass drops. That is why EDM is deep shit now with same commercial sets last 5-6y... Avicii was different, master mind of EDM who enjoyed the music but unfortunately... His sets and tracks will live for ever.
When I first heard the song Dear Boy back in 2014, I fell in love immediately. What a golden period of time that was. I really miss those sweet times ❤️
It’s still crazy to think that during that time at ultra people absolutely hated avicii revealing his album through live music but fast forward today and everybody loves the true album. Truly incredible love you avicii ❤️
Nobody was ready for his genius. I remember that he was forced to "apologize". I think that the impact that Wake me up and all the album had speak for itself
I've been a huge Avicii fan since 2011, and I remember staying up late just to watch the live stream of his Ultra 2013 set on YT. To be absolutely, brutally honest with you: Initially, I thought the whole thing was a bit cringe. Plus, I was pissed he didn't play the Summerburst ID (the song that would later become the Spotify bonus track "All You Need Is Love"). But, after watching the live rips over and over, I started to realise what I've had the honor of witnessing that fateful night: The revolution of EDM as we know it today!! Thank you so much for your genious Tim, you were waaaay ahead of your time!! ◢◤
Avicii, I know you hear this, you're music gives so much power to everyone, even if they're not into electronic music. Just your lyrics and melodies alone are already life changing
I wish I could've been to one. But sadly I basically started listening to his music only after he'd passed since I was around 9 or 10 at that time. Unfortunately, now there's no way there could be an avicii concert. May he rest in peace
How I wish Avicii were alive and producing music, so I could have the pleasure of hearing him again, especially with Adam Lambert and Nile Rodgers collaborations, because "Lay Me Down" is one of my favorites of his.

I just want to share that i started to listen to Avicii when i was 5 or maybe 6 years old, i discovered all of his tracks and i truly enjoy all his songs released and unreleased, demos or not, he is a True example for me, i started making music thanks to him, he is a great artist and he seem to be an excellent person without any dough, i didn’t had the chance to see him on stage but I’m happy anyway. Yeah, you can clearly see that the crowd reacted better to Dear Boy than Addicted to you because of the buildups and drops.
