Happy for Doinb and Gimgoon for finally getting international recognition despite being very good for a lot of years. Lwx stepped up. Crisp was the best performing support at the tournament and Tian executed their game plans insanely well alongside doinb. I was rooting for G2 but I'm happy with the results nonetheless.
Tian buttfucked every jungler except xerxe, lol
Sad that Doinb said he might retire now
@@SL1P17 he is as old as faker i think, its a little too old for a mid player, and he wants to spend more time with his wife.
I wish people would stop running the argument that LPL relies on 'Korean players' as if Korean means LCK. Technically, Doinb, TheShy and Gimgoon are 'LPL players' because they've spent their entire careers there. It's really a region-based esport at this moment in time, so how good these players (who have never played in the LCK) are have nothing to do with the fact that they are 'Korean' unless you want to run the argument that somehow Koreans are genetically better at League of Legends.
To say that FPX or IG relies on Koreans is no different to saying Barcelona relies on an Argentinian, it's just a very disingenuous way to describe the state of the professional scene and takes credit away from the LPL as a region given how much of a great job they've done nurturing and developing these 'imports' which have ONLY played in this one region, or have spent 90% of their careers (such as Rookie) playing in this region.
I know that NA and previously EU and LPL only imported very established LCK players, which is why this lingering impression of 'China is also just importing LCK stars' remains, but it is not strictly applicable to most of the currently successful LPL teams because they're taking in amateur players out of KR soloqueue and developing them, which is a completely different story.
I know the spotlight is on Doinb because of his inspirational backstory, but I still want to say it was Tian and Crisp that truly carried FPX in the finals.
Boves Z well said
@@ymbhiojtukburtbuyt568 How is this a strawman? People flame NA because they can't nurture any talent of their own so have to take established players from other regions. As a result there's a contemptuous undertone associated with the term 'import' in that sense which is not true for the current LPL import policy of taking young Korean talent from soloqueue whilst also having a talented pool of Chinese players. Yet the term is being applied to LPL with the same contemptuous undertone.
I think they do both. China has such a huge player base, they don't need to worry about not having domestic talent. You can always develop young Korean talent and import star players at the same time. Lpl hasn't being doing it in recent years, but I know there are rumors of EDG approaching Griffin and damwon for Tarzan and Canyon. But I agree that china does a much better job at integrating korean players and have a much more sustainable system which we can learn from. Stupid to label someone as an import if they've only played in that region. EU are just sore losers.
ymbhiojtukburtbuyt Fantastic argument.
Doinb’s contribution is not just limited to his in-game stats but also his leadership in shot calling and mobilizing the team. 😉 Its vey fun to listen to their in-game voice, and there one can see how doinb is enabling the team to succeed.
G2 was a joke this series. Fpx made them look clueless
Yes, they were trying to catch up from min 1 every game. Looked like their game plan hasn't even started.
@barondorado Koreans are making China better and vice versa and yet EU fans have time knock down NA for being a joke region because they are the only one they can attack bravo crab in a barrel mentality.
@@kevlinyun4004 na is adopting many Koreans just like China is... Na can't use Koreans while eu is getting better with EU players...
@@PatrickDayDreamer NA can't use Koreans true but i wonder why, because it takes a lot to learn English (it is considered the hardest language) 2nd yes i will give EU props for building up and coming talent from EU but as Monte/Thoorin said NA has always been that way in many sports they can/have to import because they have the finances to do so but straying from the point at hand, getting kicked you have to kick the other region that is beneath you.
Note: both Rookie and Doinb are koreans yet they spent 4-5 years in China not only playing but learning to read and write Chinese fluently to the point that many people thought they were actually Chinese.
@barondorado Oh wow rip i honestly thought you were an EU fan, I'm not taking anything away from EU what they did for E-sports and for LoL is a lot and will always be talked about in the future. I stopped watching because it was becoming predictable but EU changed it up and made it fun.
22:40 Words of wisdom for G2 in finals and NA throughout groups.
continue to appreciate alienware as a sponsor, keep up the great work travis!
0:44 did he really say no pouring water into the cup xD
He sure did lmao, I missed that 😂
I don't think any of them understood 🤣
Congrats FPX!
hopefully doinB choses a Nautilus skin because hes the Nautilus god (along with Crisp)
Salty EU fans saying G2 threw... Threw what? They didn't have a single lead to throw throughout the entire series... That's why you should never buy into your own hype. G2 got outsmarted in drafts and execution, the GP ults kept the split push G2 loves playing around completely in check, Tian out-pathed the living crap out of Jankos, and Caps didn't look like he was super practiced on the counters he picked, even though they were theoretically good. G2 is a really good team and they had a great run this year, but simply put, FPX was the better team on the day.
The Pyke mid was a bit questionable though. It literately allowed doinb to roam whenever he wants
@@Luna-zd2dp I mean, they said it in their press conference, they underestimated Doinb's push on Nautilus, so they never got to rotate first
@@pigsquealingcore Didn't watch the g2 press conference so thanks for letting me know. Also I agree with you saying FPX was the better team, there was no excuse that could undermine FPX's achievements this year .
Congrats for them!
is there a DELL coupon code for EU i cannot order form the US site PLEASE HELPERINO a brother in need
First 3 questions are the most lame question ever. Didnt know Sky or ESPN employ idiots, i though those are serious companies LOL
the espn questions have been completely fuckin troll through all the press conferences. i honestly dont know what theyre thinking
Maybe their "esports section" isn't that good xD
I would understand if it was an older, more experienced journalist who doesnt understand esports, but those questions couldnt be applied to any sports, just bad journalism and no common sense
Is it just me or Doinb is really plugin his stream on the champions press conference?
Nobody:
Absolutely nobody in history:
LWX: "Legends never die, when the world is calling you!"
Do you know what Timestamps is that or is that a yoke lol
Frank Wu It’s a joke
DoniB: a korean player in China. Korean was first language, Chinese was second.
Right now Chinese is first language, korean is second language 🤩
Oliver poulsen this ain’t it
3:58 This question is flipping awful
Salty eu 😂
Translator was pretty boss here
Rito rigged worlds.
worlds song :Phoenix win
Rookie lose
Faker lose
Caps lose
ahahaha
Next year: Samurai
3-0 is what G2 deserve for their cocky fans.
If you think G2 deserve something bad because of people they dont really have any influence over (fans are humans with their own will you know), in wich way are you better then those fans ? YOU are literally that cocky fan.
Crisp is CN Nemesis this dude has no emotions lol
Nemesis? The guy called Doinb the worst midlaner? Nah LPL don't take this.
@@xiaohutheorangedevon as a LPL fans ,I don't mind with Nemesis said so , I do want LPL player get more trash talk . and Crisp also is a
genius trash talker XDD
@@xiaohutheorangedevon u know nemesis trolls a lot?
megafliege he actually wasn’t trolling he legit thought that doinB was the worst midlaner and said it in a stream , even said " we are better than g2 cause we lost 3-1 to fpx " he’s a salty dude
Who is the blonde hair guy
support crisp
I guess doinb didn't repeat the same thing in Korean lul
Husong Zheng He didn’t repeat the exact same thing. He made it less harsh. Lol.
caps trashtalks and perkz lost 1v1, learn to talk before play any game
EU fans big mad
Eli r nah nobody cares about NA. It’s all about LPL
@@ksneidndkdoknnw we took it. And life goes on. You really think that whole Europe is crying right now ? So Koreans are cutting thier throats
@@Dokuman2023 Yeah, it's been weeks and they're still mad at SKT's defeat XD Congrats to FPX.
@@Dokuman2023 Koreans are cutting their throats? LOL Don't make me laugh. LCK have 3 world championships behind them while EU has much? Remind me how much they have.
@@Proof.M EU has one.
Btw my answer was ironic, read between lines.
G2 loses by the time they lock elise
doinb好像忘了韩文怎么说了💪
Sam Song 我想他还有是想一想怎么可以说的不要那么绝。因为他讲韩文的时候改了一些说法,听起来正面一点。毕竟还要回去服兵役的嘛,太绝回去怕要被打😂
Ida Chan 他不是和糖小幽结婚了吗,还用回去服兵役吗?
@@samsong354 娶中国媳妇儿和兵役有啥关系??
