- Paper money collector Joel R. Anderson is a major figure in the American publishing industry. As director and chairman of the Anderson Companies, he oversaw a portfolio of diverse businesses in publishing and retail. The Anderson Companies operate Books-A-Million, the country's second largest book retailer, Whitman Publishing, and Anderson Press.
On March 22, 2018, Stack's Bowers offered the first part of a multi-part auction of Joel Anderson's extraordinary multi-million dollar paper money collection.
The 64 lots that make up this first section include many six-figure banknotes, many bordering on $1,000,000 in value. It includes the rarest of the rare and many of the finest known for their type.
Just watching this is incredible. I could only dream to hold one one day.
This is AMAZING!
Why am I watching an hour long auction? OH YEAH!!! THE CURRENCY LOOKS GREAT
awesome watching this paper money auction....great to see this, thanks for sharing.
real treat to see those 500/1.000 dollar gold certificates. with the a. lincoln full portriait, amazing piece of history, saving the best til last.
Nice, good vedio. GOD BLESS ALWAYS.
Amazing! These auction houses get a 30% buyer's fee for doing absolutely nothing, meanwhile the collector who's been collecting for years putting together this collection gets minimum. I never use auction houses because they're overrated and overpriced, if I truly need to collect a piece I will either buy it from a collector or I will look online to find it. I just don't agree with that 30%, that's way too much money and the maximum should be at 20% and that's it take it or leave it? Don't worry, these auction houses will take it. Nobody's has ever challenge them and that's the problem.
Fantastic collection of currency.
INSANE amounts of money moved there!
Yes truly amazing just loving it
I didn’t know they made Compound Interest notes!
Crazy how much people are willing to pay!! Though the auction house is making a killing $$$$$$!!!!
No so crazy if you think about. For many of these notes there are literally few specimens that survived. And their owners won't part wit them. So if such note appears on auction it is literally once-in-lifetime opportunity to buy it.
everydays thanks to you

Hello I would like to know how to auction off my coins with you all.
Класс!!!
What does buyers premium means? Is it added to the bid ( ex I pay 100 and with buyers premium 150 is that the total what I have to pay ?
They added 20% on top of the winning bid
Good
This add is very annoying why do we get adds to our phone .
Gorgeous notes. What an expensive hobby to have. Wish I could afford the cheapest note here.
The 1863 five dollar is awsome
only rich people had these back then
1:03:20 Gold Certificates
Would someone be kind enough to define "Freebird"? My best assumption is a low mintage bill that wasn't necessarily ment to be in public circulation/custody?
That,s Freiburg. He must have catologued all US notes back in the day.
It's a Lynyrd Skynyrd Song.
This is how the auction is, you need to bid quickly ..
This new subscriber on the channel. Congratulations on Success. BIRO KING STAR numismatic channel/Ind.
