  • The quest for Sego begins in the hills north of Moab where rumours of an old ghost town hidden in the wilderness has received our attention, an old pioneering cemetery and a gallery of ancient art works from 3 different chapters of human history in the American West.

    Volume 4 is absolutely delightful, beginning to end, with special emphasis on Master Camp Chef Gavin's illuminating demonstration of culinary artistry, resulting in an inviting meal! Extremely well done, the both of you!

      Thanks Rafi. I'm not sure if we'll be back to live in Oz any time soon though if Trump wants me dead things might change. I'll see if I can convince Wilms to make the flight next year for a visit.

      Excellent time of year to undertake that voyage. It can be a less crowded and not too hot. 10 days sets a relaxed pace as there's a lot of exploring off river to be done. Best of luck and have fun.

      Greetings Wayne. There might have been some abuse of poetic license in regards to where the prawns came from. In fact the most dangerous part of the meal were the contaminates off'a my grubby fingers.

    I'm surprised you weren't sitting on the throne all night with those prawns lol. Best curry I ever tasted was made by Gurkas in Brunei when I was working with them in 2004. They would never give me the recipe as it's a closely guarded secret. Amazing series by the way, very entertaining, thought it was only us Northern Irishmen that called Patotoes, Spuds, love it. Mick 👍🤣🍻

    An awesome fire pit, looks like you can cook just about anything on that. I have always been convinced that curries were invented to hide the taste of dodgy meat, I think that recipe just about confirms it :) Beautiful production as always.

      The fire pit was Wilms idea, one I was initially quite resistant to but warmed up to it literally and figuratively. How's things going in the homeland?

      @@ForemanAndWilmsAdventures Well apart from a looming recession thanks to Covid, we are now allowed to get back out and go camping again (as long as we don't go north of Green Head) so we won't be visiting the fine city of Geraldton just yet. As for the fire pit, maybe you should start a production line and start flogging them? Looks like a great design.

      Greetings Dean, I reckon you are right on that plant Id, I confess to struggling with that despite spending a considerable amount of time trying to confirm it as the spiny hopsage looked similar as well. I will indeed consult with you on future plant Id as currently I'm the most knowledgeable person I know on said subject, a terrible state of affairs. Thanks for the input, most appreciated.

    I just recently discovered your RUclips videos, started out with the Mojave Road and working forward from there. I have done a lot of desert camping over the years and enjoy seeing what you gear that you take with you. You do a great job of packing your rig, lots of equipment. I didn't see any solar panels for your Goal zero, how do you charge it? Also, when you were in the old ghost town of Sego and you were looking at the panel of pictographs and petroglyphs you might of seen "Cay Whipple 1884" chipped into the stone? I think that she was some one famous or of importance? Thank you again for the fun and entertains videos!!

    • @ForemanAndWilmsAdventures
      @ForemanAndWilmsAdventures  3 года назад

      The goal zero's are great, we charge it up when we stay at hotels and have managed to find a DC charger to give it some juice on the travel days in the truck. Just recently we've added the solar panels which will go along on the canoe trips. It's a heavy unit to carry but if we're out for 2 weeks it'll keep everything charged up. Whipple got around, he mapped out a large area to the west including the Mojave road.

    • @ForemanAndWilmsAdventures
      @ForemanAndWilmsAdventures  4 года назад

      I think Wilms acquired that grill/fire pan from a website called Etsy. We've since looked for it and it seems they no longer exist. There is no brand name or markings on the product to give any indication of where else to look for it. It's a great little fire pit, tough and light and the grill is a huge bonus. Wilms says it was quite pricey and if we find it again we'll let you know.

    • @ForemanAndWilmsAdventures

      "Iffy Prawn Curry'. That's the name of the dish though in truth the prawns might have come from a source different to my outlandish claim, such as the freezer section of the grocery store.
