*P* innochio Paradox IF Pinocchio says, "My nose will grow now." The Paradox: If his nose grows, it means he was telling the truth. But if he’s telling the truth, his nose shouldn’t grow because it only grows when he lies. If his nose doesn’t grow, it means he was lying. But if he’s lying, his nose should grow!
A real life paradox we come across everyday... The Paradox of Rest- You need to work hard to earn rest, but overworking prevents you from enjoying that rest..... 🤷🏻♀️
An interesting paradox is the grandfather paradox. It goes like this- Imagine a person has a time machine and he goes in the past to the year when his grandfather was born. Later he kills his grandfather when he was still a child. This itself now creates a paradox in way that if you killed your own grandfather then it means your father and you were never born in the future and if you are never born then how did you go in the past and kill your grandfather in the first place??
A Paradox I heard from my friend "Less is more." This means that sometimes having less of something can actually be better than having more. For example, in design, a simple and clean layout often looks better and works better than something overly complicated. It seems contradictory because "less" and "more" are opposites, but when you think about it, the idea makes sense in certain situations.
A paradox my friend told me The crocodile dilemma: If a crocodile steals a child and promises its return if the father can correctly guess exactly what the crocodile will do, how should the crocodile respond in the case that the father guesses that the child will not be returned?
1 question - Pearl Harbour 2 question - Psyduck My fav paradox - The boot strap paradox ( It is a very lesser known but its is crazy crazy) It is related to time travel Imagine a person travels back in time and gives william Shakespeare a copy of hamlet. Shakespeare publishes it as his own work. Centuries later the same copy of Hamlet is used to inspire someone to invent a time machine and bring the script back to Shakespeare in the past. So, here is the interesting thing- who actually wrote Hamlet? The play exists but it was never created It simply loops through time without an origin. Where does the "first cause" come from if everything is in a self contained loop?
There is the God Paradox that questions the Almighty's omnipotence:- If God is able to do anything, does this mean He is able to make a mountain heavier than He is able to lift? This is a paradox because: If God is able to make a mountain heavier than He is able to lift, then there may be something He is not able to do: He is not able to lift that mountain. If God is able to lift such a mountain, then there is something He is not able to do: He is not able to make that mountain. If either outcome were considered true, then it is argued that God Almighty is actually not almighty. Found it pretty interesting when I came across it a few years back!
Paradox cannot be defined with the body & robot example. Soul defines mortality and immortality. When a person dies and donates an organ, it doesn't mean he is still alive. So if we remove a human brain and place it in a robot, it will not become a human being. These are just my thoughts. Btw love your content.

Studied "paradox of thrift" In economics... Given by the famous Keynesian theory It says that if we save more we are indirectly hampering our future income. Because if we save more and invest less, the money supply in the market (capital markets) will be less which will lead to less production, if there is less production the supply is also less - if supply is less and demand is more inflation will rise and the purchasing power will directly reduce.!
My perceptive about this channel is ....a husband and wife knows their intrest very well may be that's why this couple dose well ..and swati lacks behind ...to be fair they should have a fourth person who is stranger to them and then we will understand who is the smartest 😅
Agreed.. I also feel the same way.. a fourth person on the show should prepare the question to actually test them. And it is irritating to hear ‘tujhe pata hai..we talked about it’ It actually spoils the quiz format.
Here's the Barber Paradox: A barber in a village says that he shaves all the men in the village who do not shave themselves. The paradox arises when we ask whether the barber shaves himself. If he does not shave himself, then he must be one of the men who do not shave themselves. Therefore, according to his rule, he should shave himself. But if he does shave himself, then he is shaving a man who does shave himself. This goes against his original rule.

Love those Paradoxes Mohit!! And as a person who is eager to study about them in the future, here I am to explain my favourite-The Grandfather Paradox Imagine Max, making a time machine that can travel into the past, and he does so and goes to the time when his grandfather was a child. He kills the grandfather, but that results into the father never being born; which ultimately results into Max never being born! So if Max never existed, how did he travel back in time to kill the grandfather:) Some say that a supernatural power would stop Max from killing the grandfather, maybe he would fall before killing him or something, because they say You are a result of whatever has happened to you, and whatever has happened has happened, which bascically means you can't change the past😂 This is also the logic used in Harry Potter and the POA❤ Speaking of Harry Potter, after this Potterly mood on APH, the HP Quiz and the Phoenix reference today, do we get "Quirinus Quirrel" in "Q Quiz"🤔😂❤ Loads of luv❤

This is my opinion on the paradox that Mohit da said about whether replacing a limb with a prosthesis due to any reason changes the person or not - no, it doesn't. This is because, our consciousness is a conglomerate of all our organs, with the brain controlling them all, thus the brain is the centre of consciousness but it has all of the body parts as its subordinates. So losing one limb won't change the person, but simply make the brain adapt slowly to the change. Now if a robot is provided a human brain, I don't think that would make the robot a human, because the difference between organic and inorganic always remains, however small. Humans are organic - a result of billions of years of evolution. Even if the robotic technology is perfected to mimic human activity and is provided a brain, it will still be an inorganic mimic, however accurate physically. Also brain uses hormones a lot to make the body function and do things like emote and feel. In a robot, hormones don't exist - they're all technology. And emotions and feelings are a feature so unique to living beings that I think those are some of the biggest factors which make living beings different from non-living or artificial beings. Hence, I feel, the difference stays. The thing on whether brain transplantation would mean a different consciousness in the same body or not, being a doctor, I do have my doubts. Not going into the feasibility aspects, but the way a brain and thus a body works varies from person to person. So, even if a brain of a different person is successfully physically transplanted into another person, the body of the recipient would not be able to adjust to the working of the donor's brain, and a transplant rejection woud occur. Although with science advancing, who knows what might be possible someday. Considered sharing my thoughts with you guys here. Would lobe to hear what you think. Also, great video as always guys, wormholing to the other universe right now!

Brain is also an organ. Just a part of a body. It cannot be me(or us). That's because, when we are in deep sleep, the brain doesn't function. We cannot say we weren't there during deep sleep. Also , as we wake up, we feel, we had a good sleep.
Could help with understanding in a better way. Could take the example of space. Space is all pervading & indivisible. However, we build pots, houses, gardens, palaces, etc. It appears that space has been divided into pot-space, room-space, house-space, etc. So convinced are we of the reality of these individual division of space, that we remove the word "space" & start referring it as various adjuncts- room(2/3 bedroom), house, etc. We aren't concerned with walls themselves, but with space, they appear to divide. These divisions are not real. Space is indivisible. Hence, just like space, due to varying adjuncts in which it is obtained, appears to be many, similarly, the self( me or us or a person), available in body & mind, appears to be many due to adjuncts(as a body/mind/intellect). We confuse the body/ mind & the consciousness within the body/ mind & assume the body/mind as I. When these adjuncts are destroyed( by knowledge) , I (pure self/ the person) alone remains. .@@areypatahai
I've studied a paradox called Twins Paradox which is actually given by Einstein... Considering the twins age is around 20 so, if one of the twin is sent to space in spaceship then and that spaceship travel approx same speed as speed of light then after returning of spaceship on Earth the astronaut twin brother's age will be 21 but other brother's age will be around 40... So, it is like the from astronaut twin brother's point of view he spent around 1 year in space but for twin brother on Earth the astronaut brother spent about 20 years in space. So, after reviewing we can say that the astronaut brother is in their future as his twin brother is 40 and he is 21.... This paradox is actually related to Einstein's theory of relativity... To prove that this will not happen Stephen Hawking gave Grandfather's paradox...😊

Here another great paradox Grandfather paradox is pretty well known But another is bootstrap paradox in which something exists but we cant determine its true origin For eg. One day as a child u r playing u see a 30 40 yr old men in very sick comdition ,,u try to help him, but he gives u a book and says to read that book and dies. U read that book which has every detail of how time machine is made n all, but has no author. U grew up and according to the book u prelare a time machine and go to past. U carry that book with u just in case some problem occurs in the time machine. But due to the time teavel u get a cardiac arrest and are on a verge of death. U see one kid playing there and call him and u realise that he is none other thsn the younger version of u. U give hik that book and later on he suuccessfully prepares a time machine. Interezting but who wrote the book then We know that the book exists but we cant conclude its true origin like who wrote it. Its a never ending cycle. This is bootstrap paradox

It simply loops through time without an origin.
Where does the "first cause" come from if everything is in a self contained loop?

So that means if brain is replaced by an AI in a person, the person remains the same?
@@areypatahai Yes, the person remains the same.
Although, the next question for us to find out would be, then who or what is the person(or me) :)
Pearl Harbour and Psyduck. Thank you very much!
Harry Potter vibes khatm hi nahi ho raha hai!!!🎉 The BGM!!!!🎉
18:23 The answer is "Pearl Harbor". The attack was on Honolulu the capital of Hawaii. I recently got to know about this because of my History Project.
My Favourite Paradox is "The Uniqueness Paradox"

Here another great paradox
Grandfather paradox is pretty well known
But another is bootstrap paradox in which something exists but we cant determine its true origin
For eg. Interezting but who wrote the book then
We know that the book exists but we cant conclude its true origin like who wrote it. Its a never ending cycle.
This is bootstrap paradox
Is Momo-Swat an example of platonic relationship??
