Trip Report: DELTA Airlines from Raleigh/Durham Airport to New York -JFK Airport (Boeing 717-200)

Here we have another trip report! This is a rather unique one since this trip report features on of the newest routes that DELTA uses the Boeing 717 on. DELTA began flying 717's between RDU and JFK at the beginning of 2020. As you all know, I love the 717! It's totally awesome how DELTA decided to use this aircraft on this route! You'll hear the engines better this time compared to the last video on the 717. Of course, the totally epic 717 takeoff is featured as well with those beautiful Rolls Roce engines roaring. 717 takeoffs are never boring! This is a trip report you don't want to miss! Hopefully to fly the 717’s before they retire and keep fingers crossed that Boeing someday announced the reproduction of the 717’s to compete with the A220

Those engines on the 717 are not the same ones that are on the MD-90.

Terminal 1 is dedicated to non-international flights and it was just easier for all southwest to be over there. But I believe, Now Allegiant, Spirit and Frontier now also share a terminal with southwest

There also is no connection between the 2 terminals without having to clear security again. Delta normally occupies 12 gates at least and terminal one only has 7 active gates. Terminal 1 also doesn’t have room for more passengers really and no room for a skyclub

Plane/Train spotter Smurf this is definitely not Aug 2020. Delta doesn’t fly an 717 or MD aircraft since June 2020. Also, there are strict face covering requirements and a rear-to-front boarding process. This guy posting the video may be uploading an older video, but this is not how Delta operates flights as on Oct 2020.
