Wally’s side comments were always the best.
He did get more serious in the last couple seasons sadly but still impressive. He was the straight guy to Eddie and Lumpy. Younger years funnier than hell. He lost that.
I love how Wally takes an active role in Beaver's problem whether Ward and June want it or not.
Ditto. And his delivery was just perfect. Innate comic timing. :)

Ah... sorry to say - Tony is taking a very long dirt nap.
So much of the show was Ward and June and the Beaver setting up Wally’s comedic lines. And he was really a good actor, great voice inflection and timing.

The writers never wanted 'over the top' funny jokes but rather wanted the audience to chuckle instead. My favorite was June deflating Ward's 'selling matchbooks in a driving snow on Christmas Eve when I was a kid' story that apparently became quite embellished with each retelling. Ward was still a young boy at heart in many scenes.
To this channel, "my tv compilation station", I cannot thank you enough for posting these Leave It To Wally compilations! I watch them all the time because they are so fun and uplifting. Thank you, thank you!!

Wally Cleaver the Don Juan of Mayfield I enjoyed watching him grow up just as much as beaver
Wally stayed out of trouble in most cases. Eddie and Lumpy were his biggest obstacles.

He said in a interview he didn't date Amy of them. Just like Wally , he felt awkward around girls. They did set him up with a few of the girls on the show for ' publicity dates'.. Had them meet somewhere, like a roller rink, taking their pic together. Making it look like a real date. He did admit of all the girls on the show, the one that he remembers the best was the actress who was in the The Box Office Attraction.

I saw Ray everham with his hair like this when he was a TV comentater I never watched nascar again.
The show clearly in retrospect should have been called leave it to Wally and Beaver. Wally was more impressive on the show.
I never liked that being asked to bring back the change, namely when it was petty, like 25 cents.
Leave it to Beaver (1957 - 1963) a popular black-and-white sitcom with no blacks and plenty of whites - with the occasional Hispanic actor. My kind of TV. May it RIP.

I love that episode. The hairdo has its own theme music. It could be used in a horror flick.

P.S You ought to see Beaver's hair at the end of this episode ( Flock of Seagulls come to mind ?) This was a episode Wally's Haircomb from 5/21/59 Total classic 👌
