I hope that the story and the features for WMMT7 won't be as the same as WMMT4, WMMT5, WMMT5DX, WMMT5DX+, WMMT6, WMMT6R, WMMT6RR, and WMMT6RR+.
@@its.kobayyyyyyy WMMT7 maybe change to another game engine, such as Unreal Engine, and the developers have plans to change the entire UI, HUD, like it Initial D The Arcade.
If WMMT7 comes after WMMT6RR+, WMMT7 would be the 14th game in the WMMT Series.

They perfected the arcade racing physics. It’s so good, they stick to it for the next 20 years!
Can't believe Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune is already 20 years old. Actually there's another Wangan Midnight game came out in Arcade in 2001 and made by Genki.
It covers the MT series than just the original title counterpart though
I like the WMMT2 Ver A the most. Although it's hardcore to play, it also train up most of the player's skills and strategies, no doubt about that.

Yes, but only overseas. In Japan, the developers had the rights for Gemballa cars, which was the closest thing to Porsche besides RUF. At least MT3 had a modified look to Tatsuya's Z33 Blackbird, instead of leaving It looking stock. RUF would later be added with MT4 trough 5DX+, where It got replaced with Porsche's official debut with MT6

if only there were console ports of each game...
WMMT games will never port to consoles, here's why (IMO)
1) Bandai Namco makes lots of income from this franchise by number of machines and plays, porting them to consoles would most likely negatively affect their income.
2) WMMT feels much better with driving inputs like steering wheel, pedals and gear shifter.
3) If WMMT ever gets a console port, the interaction within player and player would be bounded easily. Meeting players face to face would have been way more effectively (In terms of socialization) in arcades rather than looking for players online at home.
