Bosch Serie 8 vs Serie 6: Super Quick 40°c Wash Race

- Both washers are set to Super Quick at 40c with 1200 spin, SpeedPerfect, and both washing 3 T-shirt’s and a pair of underwear each.
Used about 50ml Bold 2in1 Lavender & Camomile powder with some Comfort Lavish Blossom as well.
Because I accidentally brushed against the control panel as the Serie 8 was doing its end signal, it reset back to default settings instead of saying end and continuing the beep, sorry about that lol.

I’m a happy customer. Bought my series 8 2021. Awesome so far. Never regret switching to front loader after 21yrs. From a Japanese made brand to a German made brand
Speaking as a European, I've never seen a top loader here since the late 1970s. I wonder why they remained popular in some countries but completely died out in others
@@zeddeka we have though but they have the horizontal drum 😄
@@zeddeka in the US they have wash rooms where as UK its not so common. in these wash room closets they are small and can be tight spaced areas so a top loader would be ideal. but if to have a washing machine or dryer in the kitchen would be front loading. my nan use to use twin tub and it brought the clothes up nice and clean but now shes old so she had to get rid of that and get a front loader.

and mine too but mines a hoover dynamic next 8kg and im surprised my neighbours undeath me havent knocked my door ans it also likes moving especially towards the end.

@jakstrike1 I've forgot now mate it's long gone I've got a heier one now it's alot better the suspension wrnt on the LG which was changed but it made it worse tbh though I put a double duvet quilt in it it was never the same since me bad

I much prefer the series 6 to be honest. Yeah the 8 might have an extra fancy program on it, but the way the 6 is set up, with that touch screen, is so much better. I don’t get why Bosch didn’t continue it instead of going back to those bad displays
There are only drum lights in high end machines, my iDos 9kg doesn’t have it, wish I was aware of that before buying. Lovely machine though.

They look small. LG has 5.8 cb ft washer and 9 cb ft drier. I cant determine the size of the bosxh series 8 10kg compared to LG 5.8 cb ft?

Should there be a lot of foam? My serie 6 idos doesn't produce any foam but I can see that it has detergent in the clothes. This is using the automatic option.
To be honest this has must been the most best machine ever than candy and hoover

great vid - now me though being who i am would want those Drum LED lights to be on all throughout the wash but i bet there is not a setting on the fascia panel to allow that is there and the light just goes off and stays off after a few seconds and whilst washing? - or is there a feature to have the drum light on all the time whilst washing?
Hi guys, need some help . I own bosch i-dos and didn’t use softener (by turn i-dos off). but when I open the softener compartment , it contain fews of water inside. What happened ? Any idea to solve this problem?

The first three letters are important. This is how you know which series it is. The new Bosch washing machines have the first letters WGB.

Hi, unfortunately it is currently not possible to do so, apart from on the dishwashers.
My Serie 8 only does a 20 minute 40c. I dont believe it can get to 40c in 10 minutes. Id love the longer 35minute option
Hey so i have a bosch machine just got it not long ago the german made one. I have tried all options not even a full load and my fabrics are getting ruined. I noticed super wash 15/30 uses more water than cotton option, mix, easy care, etc ... Is there anything i can do so my fabrics dont get lint and look fuzzy ???

Does it make any problem for electric system if you open i-dos detergent drawer while taking water
Yes as it won't be connected at the back of the drawer, asks you to shut the drawer.
@@Bosch4D For example if i wanted to add more detergent or softener while taking water into the drum, does it stops to taking water or just gives alarm? If it doesnt stop to taking water isnt it harmful for electric reciever system

I bought last week a washing machine from the 8 serie and a cycle cotton 60 gr. celsius takes more than 3 hours! Why is that so long?

Unfortunately that’s how they make washing machines these days. Slower and longer in aid of ‘energy efficieny’.
The reason behind longer washing cycle times is down the machine not working so hard that in turn uses less energy over the period of the wash can take longer with these machines you can kind of override and put in a shorter washing time but this will use more energy because the motor is running harder to produce nearly the same result.

Hi, no you can get it without the sensofresh, this model doesn’t have it and instead has anti stain.
@@Bosch4D nice, the model i see in the shop yesterdy have also anti stain programs, intense wash, water+ (more wash water and one more rinse cycle) 1600 rpm, and this senso fresh program...i think they having lot of diffrent things in the new washers all the time and so much models that makes me realy dizzi to select one...

Why do the new Bosch wash and dryer in one have just 1400 rpm? .my Bosch 8 series has 1600 rpm.
1600-2000 spins are generally considered more trouble than they’re worth. They don’t really get the clothes any dryer, but they cause considerably more wear and tear on the machines. That’s why several years ago they were quite commonplace (with the technological advances) but then went back to lower 1200-1400 spin cycles.
My 8 series idos gone bad after 8 month even i cared to clean it and and i had never used cheap liquid detergent. I think it's crap. If you go into test mode pumps work fine and it doesn't give error at all but when is the time to take detergent or softener the light on detergent drawer blinks one time and if you don't understand and the end of the cycle you have dirty clothes. The module that responsible for idos goes bad and it's typical in bosch. I don't expect something cheaply made like that that didn't last even a year from a German made bosch
I encountered such an issue after 2 years..in some programs after suction of detergent or softener by idos pump..water just pourd in the powder compartment and didnt flush through the rout ended to the opening on the gasket to flush the sucked detergent or softener into the drum..the customer serviceman didnt find the reason and said the computerized board should be changed but i didnt accept..after several months the problem automatically solved..but nowaday the light indicator of idos for both detergent and softener permanently blinks although there are enought!

The serie 8 as it has better wash times, intensive option, stains options and normal drawer which isn't difficult to clean like the idos.

I agree, the series 6 idos spec limits user's choices as far as it concerns the quantity and the kind of detergent somebody can use.
And one last question: is it true that Series 8 machines are made in Germany and Series 6 in other countries, like China or Turkey?

I'd like to see the default cottons cycle on both of these.
on the left washing mashine display shows "00;01" as remaining time from 23:02 to 27:24 !!!! 4 minutes and 22 seconds!! The other one is from 24:26 to 28:58 4 minutes 32 seconds!! are you joking Bosch? Well thank you for the video...
As the manual states, the digital time display is an estimated time only, and may vary depending on factors such as load size, water pressure and imbalances.

The reason for this is probably the use of to much detergent. In a 20 min program you should use little to no detergent. The machine will rinse one extra time if you use to much.

Maybe there is something wrong with me but wouldnt this be a better demo if you put some dirty/stained laundry and then show people how well this front load does at cleaning clothes. For people trying to decide whether to buy a front load or top load that would help and you would have got thousands more views. So far I've seen many videos on washing machines cleaning clean clothes or nothing at all.

hey hello. now i got a brand new serie 8, and i am not realy happy whit. the programs are too long, and on easy care speed perfect only 46 mins and whitout 2:38 hours ?? stupid programming. on cottons are the movings softer than on easy care, and no more water to save the fabrics on this program,even though water+. in cotton 90° reach only 76° !! thats crap ! the best on it is the silent motor and drain pump....
Use mixed load and add intensive if you want a longer thorough wash.
@@Bosch4D thats what i also found out. but still senseless i mean then... the stupitest program is the colored cotton whit 4,5 hours! i mean the eco is long as hell but this one is ridiculess. is yours also only reaching 76° on a 90 ??
@@Adoraswiss cotton colour is to replace the old cotton eco and you also have eco 40-60. No, mine gets above 80c on 90c washes. I've been very pleased with mine so far, give it some time.

@@Bosch4D also a - is, the clothes are extreme wrinkled, no anti crease on the end of cycle and not realy gentle drum structure. in my old samsung i never having any wrinkle in the shirts. now i have to but it in the drer for 20 mins to get the wrinkles out...

What detergent do you use for the idos?
You can use any liquid product or gel. That's the biggest advantage, you don't have to use any one in particular.

👨I use my local laundrete £5.00 for washing machine 35mins for lundrete machine to finish washing cycle i then use the Dryer £1.00 plus 20 pence adding 20 pence peices . I find my clothes realy clean and dry was gonig to buy washing machine for home use as i live on my own not to much clothing to wash .looking for most economical dont know how much it useing a home washing machine would cost interms of usage electric bill that is.

The fast programme (vario speed) can only be used for up to 4 kg of laundry.
