my cat has only had one bath (when he had fleas) and he was totally calm and seemed to enjoy it a little, he was hesitant at first but ended up just going limp in my arms and let me rinse him with the warm water and massage him

Monji is an excellent boy! Maybe you should put him on a diet though, for joint health.
Maybe? He could just be mega-fluffy for a Russian Blue, cause double coat. If diet, only a short one.
but then the illusion of fluffiness would be gone once the fur is wet, but he still looks somewhat large..
They made him fat.. that's animal cruelty.
Apparently they couldn't make regular exercising or moving around as his habit when he was young, because he was their first cat and they never had any experience on keeping a cat before ' - '; (not on purpose, they just didn't know at the time) so his laziness stuck with him, but they're still trying their best to make/keep him fit and healthy!

I find my cats are mostly just terrified of the running water. I bathe them by placing a folded towel on an overturned basket, then using warm water from a bucket to pour over them with a cup. They are usually pretty relaxed about it.

@@dimasakbar7668 Thank you! I miss them terribly, as I'm not able to visit them right now. My health is not great, and the family that fosters them also has several dogs, which I am allergic to. It breaks my heart not being able to see them.

Super cute video! ^w^ While it's important to help our cats stay clean and healthy, it's also best to limit showering to once a year or less, so we don't remove too much of their natural oils and dry out their skin. When they get older it is okay and sometimes necessary to give baths more often since they groom less or can't reach key areas anymore
I have a long hair calico and she needs a bath about once a year. She's actually tiny, but there's so much fur that it just gets away from her after awhile. She looks like a rat when she has her bath, poor thing 😂
