I'm with ya. They're one of my favorites, especially the type 1 design. I'm working on filling up a fractional tube of eagles, half of it being quarters and the other half being tenths. Just about done filling it but been focusing more on silver this year. I like the fact you could take in 100 gold eagles and not be required to fill out a tax form. I know it's required to do but you don't have to right there in the store. That makes a serious impact on what I feel comfortable stacking a lot of. That being said I don't plan on selling.
I like my mix of newer fractional Eagles and pre-33 gold and 90% Constitutional, all of which I bought slightly over melt. I got rid of most of my foreign stuff, except for some tenth ounce gold Maples which are beautiful 24K little gems. Peace and Morgan dollars are the exception, but I love those too!
Love the 1/4ozt AGEs. I plan on 1ozt of those, 1ozt of 1/2ozt, and a single 1ozt AGE by July to round out my PM budget for the year. Love the Funky Buddha Hop Gun. Cheers from Tampa Bay!
Hi Florida Stacker! I absolutely agree! My favorite gold coin to stack! Even with the price of gold spot going up, I'm still dollar-cost averaging in to more AGEs! 😎🏆
Another great video with great content. Really enjoy your channel brother. Like the way you keep it real. I really love the gold and silver coins of our nation. Half way to the completion of my second tube of 1/10 gold eagles and silver eagles. I also continue to buy the gold and silver maples. Thanks for sharing.👊🏾
I’m old, I have to have a liquid 🪙coins . Fractional gold is what stack the most of, right now. Silver eagles too are liquid for me .keep stacking American coins. Take care!
My gold collection is not based on ultranationalism or xenophobia. It's based on the best purchase for the money to increase my wealth over time. A much better way to go. If the American coin is easily sold when I need and can be bought without a premium, I'll go for it, But if the British, Australian, South African, etc gold coins are the best buy when I am purchasing, those are what I get.
Gold is not soft, its hard as some forms concrete but way more malleable and ductile. Silver, gold and copper are diamagnetic as well. Anyways I do like AGE's but I wished the us mint still made quarter eagles($2.50 gold coin). I need to save up for a double eagle or a Mexican 50 gold pesos.
these type 2 gold eagles are just brown just too brown dont get me wrong, its a top 2 coin, but man they seem even more brown than the type 1 Florida, im not sure if you have, but can you do a video on pre-33, certified/slabbed, gold coins? i'd love to hear your perspective on those coins and they're value, especially slabbed. thanks
I'm quite fond of both Eagles and Buffalos and have roughly an equal number of both. I think they both look great in their own way. However... I've found that the gold Buffalo is like a cold pat of butter--way too easy to scratch and dent. Also, I think that many new stackers don't fully understand that BOTH Eagles and Buffalos contain one full ounce of pure 24K gold. The only difference is that, besides the ounce of 24K gold, the Eagles have almost a full ounce (0.09 ozt) of a silver/copper alloy **added** to the gold to greatly increase the durability of the coin... thereby bringing the rating of the whole coin down a bit to 22K (even though that full ounce of pure gold is still there).
Your decimal point is in the wrong place. They have 0.09 ozt silver / copper. From the US Mint. Composition is 91.67% gold, 3% silver, balance copper with a reeded edge. Weight and diameter differs between the one, half, quarter, and tenth ounce sizes. The one ounce coin, $50 face value, is 1.287 inches (32.70 mm) in diameter, contains one gold troy ounce and weighs 1.0909 troy ounces (33.931 g).
I have sort of come to be that way myself. I've more or less thinned my stack down into about 5 or 6 core products from well over 20 when I first started and was still figuring out what I liked personally the most.
Eagles are too popular for their own good meaning most sellers want ridiculous premium over gold value. I now am buying Sovereigns and half sovereigns for fractional purchases as I can find them with no or very low premium if I look. Very liguid but better buys.
_The gold eagles are easily counterfeited because of its popularity and mass production. The US treasury is random with who they sell their gold eagle to, but when it comes to the pure gold 24 karat buffaloes, the US treasury is very strict with those when selling overseas, they sell specifically to governments, but with in the US or domestically, they sell specifically to the most recognizable dealers, the US treasury does not meant a lot of gold buffalo coins as they do the Eagles and because of its detail and rarity of production they are very difficult to counterfeit_
I've always thought of the flowing American Flag around Walking Lady Liberty to be a special design but to each their own. Fortunately, we have plenty of other options.
Oh, but people do care. You cared enough to click on this video and undermine my message and work. Being how intelligent you are why not start your own channel to educate us all on the true applications of silver?
I just spent 1018 through your APMEX link brother. Picked up the Tudor Beast Unicorn 1 Oz Platinum

Outstanding video, especially since gold and silver eagles are my number 1 preference of coin!!
Luv my fractional gold eagles. I'm hoping to add 4 qrtr oz AGE 'S this year. Hoping to get the first one soon!

WIth ya for sure! When it comes to the full ounce, I do prefer the Buffalo, but for fractional it will be the AGE!

Picked one up today.
Congratulations!
Hey, would you bring up the different types of golden eagles? For example, type one and two?
these type 2 gold eagles are just brown

@@matthewp5478 Whoops! Yep, it sure was. I corrected it above. That's what I get for posting RUclips replies at ungodly hours. :(

1oz Gold Eagle is currently at $2,400.
Why does it say 50 dollars on it?

Maples look prettier.
I do like the Maple. But one side of it has either the Queen, or Charles. So I'd say your "half" right lol

Never owned a Silver Eagle, highly doubt I ever will. They're ugly. With Silver I don't like anything less than 10oz; takes up too much space.

Nobody cares what you buy. You don't even understand silver is an industrial metal and not monetary. Hence, the crime.

I only buy gold brittania. Its legal tender, tax free and cgt free. Why should someone from UK buy American junk and pay tax
Plenty of Brits love American Junk! Coke, Doritos, Fried Chicken, Taylor Swift, I could go on! ;)
Personally I think you should stack from the mint of your country so I do American eagle and maple leaf since I reside in both countries
