  • HOW TO CATCH A CATFISH?! - THE BEST BAIT AND RIGS | Specimen Fishing | Brookside fishery
    Over the last few years I have developed a passion for fishing for catfish in the uk! Great fun, hard fighting fish. However I found out there wasn’t much information out there on how to target them and what you need to fish for them. After this watching this video you will hopefully have an insight into how to catch a uk catfish or catch more catfish in general.

    Great watch with loads of helpful info. There’s loads of videos with the catch and the bait but not the full set up, really helpful 👍
    I’m gearing up to go for catfish and sturgeon, would you think 20 or 25lb mono would suffice? The pools I’ll probably fish are not huge and mostly snag free

    Kind of a late response, but here in the US we like to use circle hooks and cut or live bait for cats. do you guys not do that often (I know you’re also going for carp but still)

    • @ninjascoob
      @ninjascoob 5 месяцев назад

      Hi mate. Yes we also live and dead bait for cats here in the uk. Live baits are very popular

    The peg your dad was fishing if you fish about 3 rod lengths of the far bank there’s a cat hole if you put the deeper over there it will drop of to about 6-7ft cats hold in there I’ve had a 27lb from it aim for the biggest tree to the left 🎣
