Thank you -thank you-thank you After 18 years finally some one (JAVAR) shows us how to change the heater core --Without taking the whole dash out!--YOU THE MAN!
You have a good video and it will help me with my heater core thank you and Have a very Merry Christmas and Great New Year GOD Bless You and Yours from the Price Family 😊
Thanks so much for doing this... You showed me that I can do it myself and save myself a bunch of money! It does appear to be a bit of a struggle, but I'll just keep at it.
Thanks. Your instructions are plain and simple. Another guy did it by taking seats out. Looked to complicated. Not your way. You did it the simple way. My only concern was those clamps next to firewall. Then learned you push heater core back as far as you can. Shop wanted $350 plus. I did it for $75 .00. That included new heater core and antifreeze. Thanks
Thanks for the Vid!!! Someone had already done the heater core on the one I was working on.They cut the plastic so the hardest part was the right side hose clamp!!! Again Thanks!!!
Thank you for the help brother! I'm buying a car that has this issue and your video helped me get prepared for the work ahead of me. Much appreciated!!
Hey my man. I appreciate you taking the time you took to make the video. Not as much as my friend that has the 2000 Buick LeSabre that had the leaking heater core. It was good to see some of the gotchas with the last cover. You da man!!!
Hey Javar, I'm going to give it a go tomorrow before the storms hit the area, I'll time it to let you know how long it took me following your instructions, get back to you after i'm done. :-)
Hey Javar, I had to surrender on that heater core project, after finally acquiring the wobbler extensions and the small shallow drive in your video, I just couldn't get an angle to remove that 7mm right side air duct screw. just couldn't get the tools to align in that small space past that aluminum bracket. Great video and still the only 2004 Buick LaSabre heater core removal video one out there. your video is on point, But, "Going to have a Fun time removing the right side air duct screw" is a total under statement! Thank you again.
@@mastercontrol2461 I think I may try to cut a slit in the air duct if possible instead of removing the seat. That’s why they make duct tape. May remove the seat. We are stuck working outside and it’s damn cold out there.
I have an 01 heater core that I haven't used still in the box for about 7 years I recently bout an 04 this year and I need to change out the heatercore from the 04. Is it ok to still used the heater core that's for the 01 buick lesabre for the 04 buick lesabre????
Mr. Fields, would this apply to a buick lacrosse as well? How similar under dash are they? I know these car companies try to make their cars similar in a lot of areas. Watcha think? Thanks in advance.
Definitely not the same as a !lacrosse!! Got the whole thing out and am done for the day. There is plastic rivets and a bunch of 5.5mm screws all over it. Looks like it comes apart 3 r 4 different ways. 2005 buick lacrosse 3.8. Any tips?? I'd post pics if it'd let me
,,, btw at the 5:10mark of the video, my air duct screws are 7mm on 2004 & removing the front passenger seat with a T50 torx bit made the attempt MUCH EASIER, took 5mins to remove the seat.
03 LeSabre. I was able to get mine out this past weekend. I used two wobblers, and a universal with a 7mm on the end- with what I would say is a average taper on the socket. The universal will flop all around but be patient and try to slowly manipulate it. I used my other hand to pull down on the underside as well. The fastener isn’t that tight. Maybe 12in lbs. it took me a while, but is possible. Was surprised I got it. Was able to get my core exposed, and going to put the new one in tomorrow morning. Hope this helps.
@@jacobseavey9990 Hello and thank you for your response Jacob, I will go back out there today and give it another attempt, you have got me inspired & re-energized.
@@mastercontrol2461 No problem, hope it works for you too! I went out and got some husky wobblers and they did alright, but if you have some that have more wiggle to them than that, it will be in your favor. Universal definitely made the difference for me though. I’m in Michigan so running a bypass on isn’t ideal, outside of just making it stop leaking lol. Best of luck!
So my heater is out, i have an 05,i ordered the heater core from RockAuto of course, Im going to take my car to this hispanic guy who is getting to know my Buick pretty good, i never know if he is charging me correctly, i always give him whatever cash he ask for, and i keep going to him bcuz he always drop whatever he doing and do mine when i pull up to his shop,Can U tell me what im suppose to pay him for changing this out, i always come to utube first bcuz some things i have been able to do myself from watching these videos and u nice to look at, u should be on camera a little bit more when u doing these videos lol
2 years later and this is still one of the most helpful videos on how to replace the heater core
That sucks 😒 It looks like a pain in the rear!

Thanks for the advice. I had to replace a leaking heater core and thought I was going to take almost the whole dash out!😊
Thank you for this sir! It really was hard to find for such a common engine.

Thank you for your time, I appreciate you ^5

My biggest issue is the hose clamps. Even when you get them slid down the hose, the hose still doesn’t wanna come off of the pipe.
Thanks man I will go for it tommorow
Helped me a lot

Change that smoke battery🤣
It's not a bad job if you're a skinny, long armed contortionist.
Great information but your camera skills make me dizzy
Change the battery in your smoke detector
