This is an incredible performance, and per experts (not me) she apparently runs out of breath in a couple of the belting moments... but my lord, for a12 year old she really put on a great performance, and I am certain that now at 15 she will nail this song with no breath issues. I did not notice them, but I am not an expert. What captures me is how she channels to emotions and feeling of the song and brings me along with her on this voyage.

When she was six, Angelina was in the Middle East with her grandmother and Mom and they came across a young orphan girl on the side of the road with bare feet scarred and no shoes. The girl was using weighing scales to way people for coins in order to make a living. Angelina felt badly and approached the girl and started a conversation with her at 6 years old. She asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl said the doctor, but that she could not because she had to take care of her siblings since her parents were deceased. She asked Angelina what she wanted to be and Angelina ssid a singer and a superstar. Angelina then decided to take off her shoes and give them to the orphan girl who was so gleeful because she loved the shoes. She did not want to take them but Angelina insisted. Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams, and the girl said to Angelina she would pray for her. After that experience Angelina vowed that she would never again wear shoes while performing in remembrance of the orphan girl, and all those in need. Personally it brings me to tears. She is a prodigy in music and in her personal life.
I heard that 2 minutes before she recorded this, David Foster, one of the composers of this song, walked into the studio so she sang this insanely difficult song with him right there watching and listening! I would never know this watching her .. as always .. relaxed and doing what she loves to do most .. sing.

When I see this little girl challenge herself to make her tribute, through a song sung by a superlative singer like Whitney, she steals my soul. She chose a song that isn't easy even for an adult singer with an extended vocal range and incredible belts, yet this 12-year-old little girl, she alone with her mike, no autotune and no interruptions, gets something extraordinarily beautiful and well done, even with the limitations due to age and the voice that has not yet fully evolved. I highly doubt that at the same age as her, Whitney herself would have been able to sing this song this way. 😁❤️ What has always fascinated me about this little girl, in addition to the absolutely unique talent and the sweet human side, is her incredible ability, from the very first performances, to read and deconstruct the songs she chooses, developing them in an absolutely incredible way (even for age ), she doesn't need colorful or redundant shows, just a simple accompaniment is enough to create the magic. Like you said, really hard song for anyone, let alone a young girl to sing but she did it more than justice. When I see this little girl challenge herself to make her tribute, through a song sung by a superlative singer like Whitney, she steals my soul. She chose a song that isn't easy even for an adult singer with an extended vocal range and incredible belts, yet this 12-year-old little girl, she alone with her mike, no autotune and no interruptions, gets something extraordinarily beautiful and well done, even with the limitations due to age and the voice that has not yet fully evolved. I highly doubt that at the same age as her, Whitney herself would have been able to sing this song this way. 😁❤️ What has always fascinated me about this little girl, in addition to the absolutely unique talent and the sweet human side, is her incredible ability, from the very first performances, to read and deconstruct the songs she chooses, developing them in an absolutely incredible way (even for age ), she doesn't need colorful or redundant shows, just a simple accompaniment is enough to create the magic.
Angelina is not only what you saw in this fantastic performance, she is much more, even very different, but everything she does is at a superlative level, she sang more of 130 different interpretations, including covers, songs written for her and also her originals.
She was only about 12 years old when Angelina recorded this. Someone recorded a side-by-side singing of this song with Angelina and Whitney together -- and I was shocked that their voices and style basically matched!!! Incredible at that age. Such a vocal phenomenon is rare to come by. She has only just started her career. What would amaze me more than her vocal ability when she sings,would be if she doesn't become a worldwide musical icon within a few years from now.
