    Hi Max, very informative videos that I really needed. You explained a very confusing pieces of information in such a well-organized and easy to understand manner.
    I'm planning to study Master degree in Germany next year. I'm not from EU country and will definitely have to get a blocked account. I'm not sure if you know this information but for a 2 years Master degree program, do I need to put 22000 errors+ into a blocked account right away (before applying for visa) or can I do 1 year so 11000+ euros first? I have read in a website a while ago that proof of 1 year financial stability is sufficient but I just want to make sure if that information is right.
    Thank you for making such a good videos!

    • @maxyoko
      @maxyoko  5 месяцев назад +1

      Yes, at first, you only need to 11000+ Euro to get started. In the second year, you have to show proof of finances again, usually with a part-time work contract

    • @ideap.343
      @ideap.343 5 месяцев назад

      @@maxyoko Thank you for answering! This helps a lot. Since I'm not native German speakers, sometimes I got information mixed up when I translated it into English. Since my family will be funding my study so I can proof enough financial support for both years but putting 22000 euros in at one time is a bit scary. Also, well noted on a part-time work contract information -- that's cool if I can find one, it will definitely be helpful. Thanks a lot! Your channel is a life saver for my journey haha. Keep up the good work.

I am a 25-year-old Japanese student, and I am interested in pursuing a bachelor's degree in Germany. It is possible to study in Germany at any age. We had a guy in my Physics degree who was 56 years old.
      Now most of the students at classic universities are going to be very young, usually fresh high school graduates but there are also people in their mid-twenties. At Universities of applied sciences, there might be more people on your age level. I would say the average age in my degree program (Hochschule München) is 23 years.

    • @maxyoko
      @maxyoko  Год назад +1

      They are not well known internationally but usually if you have strong skills you will get a job everywhere. It's a bit different if you wanna go into investment banking, for example, these people value prestigious institutions

    • @frool76
      @frool76 11 месяцев назад

      These days you get the same degree from applied universities and universities. In the end it depends on what you want to do after your studies. Universities focus in scientific careers, while applied university (which are only called like that in English, they are no real universities and not called a university in German) focus on the industrial application, hence the name. Finally it depends on the person/company looking at your degree. For an industry job, a degree from an applied university should be better (e.g. because it includes internships), but some companies sadly see more scientific degrees from the university as "better". You should decide what you prefer. University give you way more freedom, but also require more autonomous work. Also you will go deeper into foundations with way leas applications. Applied universities on the other hand are often structured more or less like schools, less freedom, but also more guidance to get through.

      Switching from a private English-language university to a public one in Germany is possible, but it depends on meeting the language and academic prerequisites of the public university. You gotta check the transfer policies and requirements of the specific public university you're considering before planning the switch :)

    Hey Max thanks for the video! I have a question about studying in Germany as an international student. So I'm currently in my 2nd year in mechatronics engineering. The course quality is not that good for me. I'm considering starting a new degree in Germany(Probably Physics or engineering physics). Which one will be easier to get a DAAD scholarship, applying for DAAD without a bachelor's degree or after getting the degree? And i watched your video about TUM, i prefer applied science like you. Which universities is better for these fields in your opinion?

    • @maxyoko
      @maxyoko  Год назад

      applying for a DAAD scholarship after completing a bachelor's degree is more common, but there are options for undergraduates too. When it comes to the Universities of Applied Sciences, Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences (Hochschule Karlsruhe - Technik und Wirtschaft), Munich University of Applied Sciences (Hochschule München), Aachen University of Applied Sciences or Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences are really good

      More likely in private universities. Your high school leaving certificate is strong, but your first-year university score might be below the typical expectation for English-only courses, so check with the universities

      Yes. However, some masters programs require a minimum amount of credit points in a certain field. So if you have a bachelor’s in information science and want to do a master’s in economics you would have to take some additional classes in econ. Depends on the university and the exact degree tho

    Your possibility of admission:
    With your educational background, you qualify for direct subject-restricted admission only to a university of applied sciences (Fachhochschule) for academic studies in the subject area of your previous education.
    does that mean I can study only in Fachhochschule or I can study in hochschule? becuase hochschule is the combination of university and university of applied sciences
